The lip of the door frame is so large that I can't get this piece to work... Any suggestions ?

Drill some small pilot holes first, it’ll make those screws much easier to install.

Successful install I'm sure but the drill usage was not perfect. You're using the wrong size philips bit and can tell that the screws have stripped. Also it sounds like your clutch is set to the right setting - don't pulse the trigger. Instead, smoothly increase the speed until the screw is fully inserted. The clutch will stop you from driving the screw too deep.

If you hear your drill bits doing this that means it is not a secure fit and can strip the pattern of the screw and drill bit then you’ll be invested in two projects..
