Blindness, heart disease, renal failure and kidney transplant. Also the huge chunks of flesh taken out of the bottom of her feet because of blisters she gets from her shoes. She has no healing properties because there is no blood circulation in her feet, which is all due to her poorly managed blood sugar. She also gets electric shocks in her legs. Depression, anxiety and panic attacks are common. Also she has gastro paresis and is getting no nutritional value from her food, nauseous as soon as she eats and is skin and bone. She uses an indoor scooter to get around. Her transplanted kidney is now failing and she now will go back onto haemodialysis. She cannot have another transplant because she won’t survive the surgery. This is the reality of what poor blood sugar management looks like. It is a slow painful death. Hopefully this frightens you enough to take this seriously. I keep seeing comments that his info is not informative for folks that are T1/T2/pre because his experiments are being done on someone doesn’t have a metabolic disorder. Well they don’t apply in one sense but the overall info does make good common sense when it comes to lifestyle choices and healthy eating habits. BUT because of the name of his channel I do assume that he is insulin resistant and is actively trying to prevent pre/T2. But maybe that’s an assumption on my part. TBH, these results may not apply to all people who do have those diagnosed conditions. I do find it useful, just like I find healthy eating habits associated with a keto diet useful. I use it to help me choose foods that are minimally processed, affordable and easy to prepare. It also teaches me that some food that I previously thought were off limits can still be enjoyed based on portion control and what it’s eaten with. But I also have to look at my BS responses and tailor the info to how I RESPOND. That I am pre and PCOS means I have lots of issues going on. Now what I do find is that for some items there is no mention of salt content which is huge in the metabolic disorder world (at least mine). I’m not new to my issues but I can tell you that for many years I went undiagnosed or once I was the nutritional info given was minimal and not very useful. I've been experimenting with Chocolate syrup made of table sugar, cocoa, pinch of salt, a little vanilla extract, milk and butter. I ate maybe 2 tablespoons of the syrup this morning and this is my reading: 88mg/dL 9:33AM. The other times when I ate my chocolate syrup made of the same ingredients my blood sugar was 97mg/dL and 90mg/dL and I didn't eat as much on those days as I did today. I'M DIABETIC. So is table sugar getting a bum wrap by saying it spikes blood glucose? But I also take note of how refined white flour, potatoes and white rice affects my blood glucose and these 3 food items spike the hell out of my blood glucose with no added sugar. There are other food items that spike my blood sugar as well but not as much. If I keep it to about a half cup I can eat long grain brown rice but any flour is off limits. I can get by with using a very small amount of KETO flour. A doctor from years ago tested my blood sugar by having me to drink a bottle of cola syrup where he wasn't getting the results he wanted to see when he took a blood sample. So he had me to drink another bottle of this stuff and still the blood test didn't give him the test results he wanted. your results were interesting. I was watching a type 1 diabetic and his sugars spiked A LOT with black coffee first thing in the morning. even with just cream on empty stomach, it spiked his sugar. very interesting. they think it's the caffeine causing a stress response. who has the normal variant in this stimulus?!?!
This is cool. I drink coffee with cream sugar and I've been confused because my glucose number waking has been 116 and after my 2 cups I check it in 1 hour and its 99.
I drink 1tsp cinnamon 1tsp ginger 1tbsp honey and 1tbsp lemon juice. It had been helping me to lower down blood sugar. Do you think I should quit using honey to improve results. 🤔
Two packets of sugar is nothing. I will put about a one and a half inch diameter ball of jaggery in a normal sized coffee mug of espresso. Back when I used white sugar I would probably put just under an inch of sugar in the bottom of the cup.
I've switched to using zero sugar creamer and 1 stevia packet in my cup of coffee...I'm not a diabetic but my doctor says I'm on the verge of prediabetes so trying to change my diet with less carbs and sugars and it seems to be working.
Im a T2D working on my insulin resistance doing multiple long term fasts, I was drinking black coffee and wondering why my sugar would creep up during fasts when I drank it. Researched and found that with dysfunctional pancreas where alpha and beta cells are both dysfunctional, coffee can stimulate adrenalin, which will in turn cause the pancreas to send signals to liver to create glucagon because the body thinks its going to need the energy because of the adrenalin being created. Just in case anyones here looking for that answer later lol
I’ve noticed you use two types of monitors, is there a reason for this? Which one do you prefer more? Thank you so much for doing the coffee, cream and sugar because that is something that most people drink frequently.
I had yoghurt, walnuts and almonds(3 pcs each) and 1 banana. Cld you kindly have these for breakfast n show results as I do not have those patches you are wearing?

Just a cup of coffee with cream and stevia raises my blood sugar 30 points! I tried mushroom drinks and they also stimulate and again up went the points about the same! This was my question on UA-cam search, why does a stimulant raise blood sugar levels?
What is 10mg/dl in standard deviation in my glucose meter means? My average glucose is 143mg/dl. Thanks 🙏
your results were interesting. I was watching a type 1 diabetic and his sugars spiked A LOT with black coffee first thing in the morning. even with just cream on empty stomach, it spiked his sugar. very interesting. they think it's the caffeine causing a stress response. who has the normal variant in this stimulus?!?!
OK so you’re not diabetic so this doesn’t really affect you. I’m diabetic so I’m sure that would’ve spike my blood sugars.👀🤔
If I could do that black, I'd be gravy. I just can't drink black coffee. When I sweeten it, it has about 4 tablespoons 😢.
What about with 2 packets of Splenda and instead of creamer just regular 2% milk?
Can you test Monk Fruit and creamer in coffee? Thanks:)
....and Stevia!
Two packets of sugar is nothing. I will put about a one and a half inch diameter ball of jaggery in a normal sized coffee mug of espresso. Back when I used white sugar I would probably put just under an inch of sugar in the bottom of the cup.
OMG!!! If it was me drinking coffee even with out any sugar and only milk, my sugar level will rise to sky high. With only milky coffee.
You're lucky just drinking black coffee or any caffeine plummets my blood sugars and a reactive hypoglyscenia.
Thank You
Thank You
Because I love coffee ☕
I’ve noticed you use two types of monitors, is there a reason for this? Which one do you prefer more? Thank you so much for doing the coffee, cream and sugar because that is something that most people drink frequently.
Why the time difference, 2hrs after black coffee and only 1.5 hrs after coffee with cream&sugar, why is the discrepancy?
What brand of Glucose monitor are you using? I'm currently using the Libre Freestyle 2 with a + - 5 accuracy
Took me 5 hours but eventually my three cups depleted my hour sugar and I crashed to 50. I was fasting and had pancakes that morning
I had yoghurt, walnuts and almonds(3 pcs each) and 1 banana. Cld you kindly have these for breakfast n show results as I do not have those patches you are wearing?
I noticed that almost every glucose spike test with cream is always heavy cream. What about light cream? Is light cream generally the same level of increase? Sometimes, it's not specified.
It depends who you are...im diabetic and maybe have an over sensitive system or something...black coffee makes mine spike up 12 points.
You are now tempting me to try. Coz I been taking tea and coffee with only evaporated milk without sugar because I don’t want by BG to spike.
Can i suggest something to you if you don’t mind ! Sometimes negative people can make ur health problems worse ! When we suffer from any health issues it’s not only health problems it’s the people who’s making our health issues worse by trying to make people blood pressure and other problems we face in everyday situations it’s because of negative people ! So try to be friends with people who make’s you feel good and makes you smile !
Signos CGM device that he has on his arm that he has recommended in the past is garbage, I would not trust the glucose readings. I subscribed to Signos CGM based on his recommendation and started to use it for a month. The results were inconsistent readings when checked with blood glucose readings, false alarms on the devise alerts were annoying . Just not worth it, Signos customer service to try to cancel is awful, have not been able to cancel or reach anyone to cancel.
Black coffee is fine, but cream alone or worse, sugar and cream spikes my blood sugar at least 50 points. Had to stop drinking chai latte. Im diabetic.
I have a question, are you diabetic? You say “if you’re diabetic …. “
If you’re not, why the glucose monitor? I’m curious
2 packets of sugar is nothing. For that size coffee I would need about 8, possibly more. I’d also need more cream.
Starbucks coffee is pressed-through Italian style, so the oil from the coffee beans is not filtered out which raises insulin levels. If you drink coffee throughout the day, filtered coffee is a better choice.
I get cappuccino from mcdonalds i without Choc sprinkles.
Does anyone know if it would spike insulin
This makes no sense. Added SUGAR cream not what any diabetic would want to do. Stevia ok. Splash of almond mk
I’m curious what your sugar spike would have been if you did the sugar and cream first thing in the morning instead would be?
