    I just bought my wife a 24 jeep grand cherokee Laredo Altitude. 18 inch black wheels and a dark gray with a black trim on the bottom. Doesn't have Fog lamps but she wanted to down size from her 21 L she had. The grand cherokee L was a tank in the winter. Drove thru 2 feet of snow. In snow mode. The new 24 doesn't have Snow mode. But sits higher then her 21 L did.

      It’s always impressed me how well a stock Grand Cherokee can handle winter weather. It really gives you the confidence you want and need to drive so that you don’t stress as much.

      It would be sweet if Jeep offered the 18” black wheels on the Limited. The only reason I’m getting the Limited is because it’s the first trim level that offers the Alpine stereo system as an option. After you’re in a Limited and try to add the Lux Tech Group which has a lots of good features Jeep requires the $2,500 Dual Pane Sunroof be added. Make it make sense! I don’t want a sunroof but I would like other things, Jeep don’t care just pay ‘em.

    bought my wife a 23 Jeep GC Altitude in Oct of 22. 32K miles with two recalls paid for by Stellantis and 3 free oil changes. So far, zero out of pocket costs. Our Jeep GC Altitude came with 20 inch black wheels/tire package, why did they go to 18 inch wheels for the 24 model year?

    I just bought the 2024 2-row JGC Limited with the double sun roof. We love it! Powerful, smooth, comfortable, very nice. We got the camera package, heated and cooled seating, and much more. There are some hot deals on these now in Central Florida. I’m not seeing advertised factory incentive’s but dealers appear to be slashing MSRP to get showroom traffic. Obviously high interest rates are causing slow sales and overstocks everywhere and there is a lot of competition. I think Jeep did a great redesign on this. I’m looking for a base Laredo mainly because I don’t want a panoramic roof in Florida. It’s just too hot. I want steel and insulation. I don’t expect blowout discounts on base Laredo models, dealers have more room to bargain on pricer trim. I do have a question, please. I noticed GC models with a spare in the interior well, and another with the spare mounted underneath the vehicle, with the lowering mechanism in the well. If you recall, did you happen to notice any difference on the base and the “L” version for the tire mounting. I haven’t had a chance to visit a dealer on these. I wanted to get my facts together first. Thanks again.

    I have a Baltic grey 2023 summit reserve with the high altitude package on it and it’s freakin nice. It also has a rare 5.7 hemi in it 😂. Someone went online and put everything in it plus the hemi and changed their minds when it came. So I took it 😂. The 2023/2024 the only way for the hemi is online ordering. 2025 and on no more hemi at all even online. Hopefully they put the hurricane in future models then I might get it again. If not bye.

    Awesome review!! I’ve learned that the new WL platform used for the Jeep Grand Cherokee is now based off the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The Dodge Durango still uses the WK2 platform. I believe they may soon retire the proven Pentastar V-6 and use the Hurricane I-6 which I heard is suppose to be a very stout engine especially the High Output twin turbo. 💯🔥🤘🏽

    • @MOHAWKAUTO
      @MOHAWKAUTO  3 місяці тому +1

      I think they’re still going to offer a few engines with the hurricane being the higher end option. Although, they could offer just that engine in the standard and High Output option like they have in the past with the 4.7 V8 in the WJ platform.

    • @jaimemurray6654

      @@MOHAWKAUTO I agree. I’ve noticed that Jeep began that approach with the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. Sadly, they already phased out the 6.4 liter V-8 also used in the Grand Cherokee SRT.

    • @idigbebop
      @idigbebop 2 місяці тому

      I wouldn’t say it’s based on the Stelvio but they probably borrowed some design elements. Or integrated some supplier parts that met a design spec. Although that’s not a bad thing, the Stelvio has some excellent chassis and suspension.

  • @mikeludwick7886
    @mikeludwick7886 Місяць тому +3

    Wow, you don't have a clue of what trim levels look like. Being an L has nothing to do with the front grill, one is a Limited and the other is an Overland that you were calling a ''regular''?? Btw. that Summit and the Overland have a variable assist air suspension so that Summit rides way better than the Limited regardless of the larger wheels. Do your homework next time.

    • @MOHAWKAUTO
      @MOHAWKAUTO  Місяць тому +5

      Larger wheels will always ride worse than smaller wheels as the tires act as part of the suspension. More tire wall allows bumps to be absorbed better. We do our best when editing to not cut out too much and to have the video make sense, sometimes we cut too much and mistakes happen. I appreciate the feedback and I’m glad to hear from an expert. I look forward to your review video. Let me know when you’re going to drop it and I’ll be the first to watch it.

    Why did Jeep go away from the 5.7 Hemi? Frankly this isn't that big of a features upgrade from my 2011 JGC Overland 4x4 especially considering it's price point.

    • @MOHAWKAUTO
      @MOHAWKAUTO  3 місяці тому +1

      I would argue that there have been a lot of upgrades since 2011. There was probably a few reasons they went away from the Hemi. The new engine is the Hurricane Turbo inline 6 that I think we should start seeing in the near future.

    • @BaBaBooeyWRLD
      @BaBaBooeyWRLD 3 місяці тому

      Sadly, moronic CAFE standards and ridiculous regulations forced the Hemi out of the picture. Good luck getting the I6 Hurricane in a GC. Jeep will probably try slapping an asthmatic turbo charged 4cyl in all of them. Whats also “impressive” is the wireless charging pad comes standard on the Altitude models but for the Limited and beyond it does not. Makes zero sense
