I've been seeing a ton of nightmares people face in their Summit or any of the higher trims. Almost 30k miles in my '23 Laredo and It's been one of the best cars I've ever owned.
Myfirst jeep was a cherokee 4 speed i bought it new in 1986. I had it for 17years snf the only major work was one transmission and one paint job. When i tearfully said goodby it 318,000 miles and the new england salty roads had been cruel to the undercarriage. From the top of mount washington to the stop&go traffic of Boston it took a lickin and kept on tickin. Everyone in my family borrowed it from haulin horse tailers or canoes it was worth the $18,000.
We purchased a new 2021 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and love it!! We were hoping Stellantis would build the Trailhawk again for 2024-2025 but they continue to only offer this in the 4xe and glad we didn't go for this model as far too many are just sitting at dealerships rotting away!!!! So we decided to just wait until interest rates drop and special order a Summit!
Last year in 2023 I got the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. I was able to get it in the high trim Summit Reserve. I got mine with the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. Good performing engine. It'll go from 0 to 60 in just 6.1 seconds.
I bought a used ‘21 GC L Limited, and I love it. I average about 21 mpg in my commute (v6). I have no complaints. The v6 is supposed to be one of the most reliable out there…. I guess I’ll have to find out. I plan to keep it for at least 4-5 years. I got it without the low range 4x4, don’t need it. I’ll probably buy another pickup truck for work. Anyway, it’s comfortable, nice sound system, great seat heaters greatly appreciated here in the Midwest.
Nice complete information. But crazy prices. Have a ‘19 300C either every option. Paid $42k new of course. Figure a couple of years have gone by and I’ll trade the 5.7 for 4wd as a wash. I am in for a grand Cherokee summit for about $50.
23 GC Overland 4XE. LOVE the car and all options in it. Wonderful car for long trips. Its a Range Rover for the poor. However, stay away from Plug in Hybrid. NO,NO,NO !!!! If you ride only electric mode, fantastic, once the block kicks in, loud, lazy and loud and lazy and slow transmission in between. Never again. V6 or EV ONLY GC in future, or the new I-6 x 2 Turbos. Also, always make sure you carry factory coverage or extended. Very expensive to repair. The 4XE is complicated to repair and an hour labor at Jeep or other big 3, is crazy. Can't wait to return this lease.
as a previous owner of a wk2 5 speed and now a durango sxt, i find the new wl grand c a mixed bag. i do like the exterior design. i guess the cargo area is improved also with that . i also like the power lift gate and parking brake but thats about as far as it goes. the power train is smooth and quiet thanks to a zf 8sp tranny but the engine is under powered and outdated. you can get a two tone interior in the laredo and limited but i will take a pass with all black interiors such as the altitude. the piano black trim in the center stack is horrible to say the least and the rotary dial taking up space in the center is the worst in the industry. they got sued before over this design so we now have the same big idiotic dial with autopark. despite the glaring flaws, it is a comfortable, easy to drive, and somewhat affordable midsize suv in the lower trims. it is also cheaply made with some quality and reliability issues thats not really designed to last more than 10yrs or 100k before all the plastic bits start cracking, mainly referring to the engine and tranny which have plastic parts. the swanky higher trims and 4xe are a little too high tech and high dollar for me. the trailhawk is 4xe and air susp only which is somewhat disappointing and there is no trailer brake with the the tow pkg. i refuse to buy another car with a black interior bc im old and its too hard to see anything. i wish i could put the old interior with a lighter color in the new body style and that about sums it up. maybe jeep will redesign some things and offer a lighter interior color in the upcoming mcr, as ford had to do with the explorer. im more drawn to the two rows, but i still wouldnt buy one. its really hard to find an affordable new or used suv without a black interior or sunroof these days and thats a real bummer, but maybe the new 4runner or next gen passport will change that. interest is waning with the grand c bc other companies are making better more modern suvs. the 23 version of this video had 113k views. the 24 version is at 40k. while still a popular crossover with alot of standard tech and safety features(too much), more so than an offroader, jeep needs an update soon bc looks only go so far. a refresh on the interior and a new engine like the sst should do the trick. at least give us something besides black like a beige or grey interior and please get rid of the piano black and rotary shifter in the center display. the tow pkg should also have a trailer brake. quadratrac 2 is useless in my opinion. its like awd w low range which doesnt help much in the rougher stuff. jeep just holds on to stuff for too long.
Could it be Stellantis is paying all of these “auto review companies” to push Stellantis products right now? 😂 or is it just a coincidence that damn near every reviewer is suddenly covering Stellantis products and talking about how “great” they are? 🤣🤣🤣
Bad move on JEEPès pasrt to force people to buy the L version to get eh HEMI V8 engine. What if we donèt want the exta 12È in lengthÉ Which actually makes a difference (for people who donèt need it) e.g. pasrking in spaces posibly not deep enough. but in the end.....we buy SUVès a everyday vhicles ---groceries, shopping, restaurants....no one actually goe 'off-rading' in luxury SUVès....or any SUV...heh....most of us have no eperiencce 'rock clumbing'....etc......till sinc emst will be buying the 2 row....Jeep should have continued to offer the HMI V8 for 2-row models...for those that want it and feel they need it...
To bad your a pavement princess, you don't know what you have , all jeeps are made to go 4 wheeling. I choose the Grand Cherokees because they are my favorite jeep and yes my trail hawk has done jeep honor badge trails and no problem 4 wheeling with the wranglers , I've been jeep cult since 1972 and have jeeps for this reason , if your going to stay a mall crawler get something else ✌️
Neither. Both are ridiculously overpriced and there's a reason Jeep still has almost 50k '23 models still sitting on lots. Stelantis has ruined Jeep/Dodge/Ram.
My 2022 JGC Overland 4xe is amazing! The best vehicle I have ever owned! The McIntosh sound system is superb! 😎
I have a 2023 Overland 4xe. It is amazing and pretty fast, too. I love it.

Don t hope for the same today...
Well worth it…I have the 4xe Overland…Love it!
Thanks for info. Background music too loud.
2023 WL Limited fully optioned - Absolutely love it. I leased it out of cautioness, but if it stays reliable ill buy it in 3 years.

Last month I bought a 2015 Grand Cherokee Altitude as my first car and I’ve been loving it sm, I had to know what the newer ones are like
Crazy pricing , previous gen Laredo with black trim was available for 30k!
That's a lot of trims guys❤❤❤😂
Well done JEEP
U ve worked really hard,much effort👌
It’s why we bought a 2020 high altitude instead for much cheaper!
Top rated vid for 2025 models, thanks.

It has double glass windows in Laredo or higher trim?
2024 overland standard is 2 wheel drive and no air suspension
Thank you for posting this video. I signed on the Trailhawk in DEC 2023 so far so good. The Alpine system isn't great but it works well enough for me.

I miss my commander looking at this 😭
bought one in 2004 and sold it for $40k. Never look back since.
i bought this, its apparently worth less now than my old truck

you forgot about the Trackhawk....100k
Welp im satisfied with 2018 gc i bought only had 14k miles under 30k in 2022
It’s crazy. Cause the 2024 GC is 30k, about 20k plus off msrp rn, they can’t sell a single thing now
Which to buy? None... it's Stellantis. Enough said.
V8 is also available on 2 row .
Where?
@@mraccountantmbacpa the V8 Hemi is still listed as an option on Jeep's website. 4xe is exculsively 2.0 liter/4 cylinder.
Spoiler alert: best Jeep to buy is a Toyota 4Runner.
You’re welcome!

Nothing’s a coincidence.
InnEurope for 80k you get some mediocre german average class fake suv...yes, it s that bad...

Try 4 wheel driving, very impressive and fun. Once you try, you will start looking for places to go which is the original intent. Enjoy

....way to expensive....$60,000+ for a v6 Overland! No f@#$% way!👎
Jeep has lost their mind. They are not a luxury brand no matter what they think, I would never buy a jeep for that price
K
Jeeps are not for everyone, you should stay away from them especially if you don't go 4 wheeling ✌️
@@timkincade9763 if you’re paying 80k for a grand Cherokee to go off-roading, the joke’s on you 😂
Don’t buy any of them. They are all Terrible
Both are junk.
You never had a jeep or know what your talking about, stay away from them not for you pavement princess
Boring, bland looking American bus parading as an SUV
They have the best exterior design...
What do you drive?
@@jaredc3608 Toyota hilux and BMW m4
Ahhh, see, can’t get a Hilux in North America. I was actually just looking at those last night haha

None the insult indigenous
I’ll wait till they’re five years old and have 50,000 miles on it. Jeep has the lowest resale value just like Dodge does next Kia.
