We had one ,and I loved it . 2 guys , 25,000 fbm per 8 hour shift , sort to length thickness width and grade , and they fetched the slabs themselves and sticker each load and took the full loads to the drying yard . 2 guys , 25,000 fbm per day . I was expecting a toy , but got a high production piece of art .

An edger will not make things precisely flat like a planer might. Its mainly intended to remove wane and otherwise square up a board that has live edges.

How does it edge ! With 2 rough edges and if the ends are not square!
Put the board in straight and it self feeds while being cut with parallel on both sides.
I believe the key is board placement from the get go.
