Great video, you got me wondering about throat size on my edger. Very similar to yours bit smaller.strait fence and inside look similar. Thanks for info I'm going to ck throat height.
Thanks for share this new Video, on the right time ❤ 😁👋👋, Do you have Experience with multi circular saw Edger? For Produce the stacking strips, and Edge the Boards in the Same machine?
We are currently looking into install a MR2000. Make sure that your shoot is wide enough to edge the boards. If it’s in the same machine it would have to be really wide. To be a gang Saw and edger.
@@americandream_89 MR 2000 ??? Gibt doch nur MR 200... Genauso Option EG 800 für Euch relevant, denke ich EG 300 eventuell etwas grenzwertig, könnte reichen, jedoch sicher besser größeres bei Euren Mengen... Wie denkst Du dazu ???
I just upgraded from a lt 15 wide to a lt70 super wide. I know my eg100 isn’t going to cut it anymore. What brands/models do you recommend looking into. Thank you
Hey 👋 Great upgrade. Do you use your edger for anything over 8/4 ? If so you will need to look at industrial scale edgers. As in one like a eg400. Most companies make them to do nothing above 8/4 which I find dumb but it keeps them able to make them cheaper made.
@@americandream_89 I like the idea of being able to edge up to a 4x4. With the lt15 wide I would do most of the edging over 5/4 especially if it was hard wood because the eg100 didn’t like it but it was so time consuming
@@americandream_89 I do have 3 phase at one of the locations I mill. I currently don’t have my own space so Im always back and fourth depending on the work
@@LaurenEdwards-zu4dl if you can utilize a 3 phase one they are so much better. If not get a diesel with 30hp minimum. If you’re wanting new it really just depends on what you want to spend. Or you could find one like we have if able and slap a 3 phase motor on it. I videoed a company in my trip to Nashville it’s on here they make really nice looking edgers. The woodmizer 400 series is nice also. I’m not a Hugh fan of belt pull conveyer style or non split blade edgers.
Hey buddy, I got an email yesterday, from my other LT 70 wandering sawmill buddy (biggest european mill 42hp diesel, abd His 2nd mill, is an LT 40 - 22kw electrics at home, with mobile chassis and extension....) and now got the information and photos of the multi-blade edging circular saw, it has a fixed circular saw blade, and it has a circular saw package which is movable, with this time, 5 circular saw blades, the max high capacity , is 8cm (3.15 Inch) and standard squared timbers have dimensions of 6x6 8x8 or 10 by 10 cm, the Edger i Need To Edge Boards with a high of 6cm (2,4 Inch), 8x8 can i Cut of the mill, or the Edger has enough power, and saws them too, 10x10 or 10x16 then works wonderfully on the mill, then you don't have to push such heavy things on the Edger ... , Whether I produce 8x12 or 8 x 16 in the Edger or rather on the sawmill???, Maybe more on the mill... , Because of the weight... So, now I'm curious Whether everything works out, as well as about the condition, when I look at it on site, because it is 6 hours away by car, but he only wants to have half the market value for himself... , Hope it all works out well...

I'm seriously looking to get an edger. I'm not sure if the investment in a new one would be good right now but a good used one might
@@paulgreen2863 to me a edger is a must. Right now would be a good time to get one cheap.
Thanks for the video
Hello send me a list of edgers you recommend and have you ever used a Morgan edger thanks william
Hey William
Any price range you’re looking at?
I’ve never personally used Morgan as a edger but we have a resaw on site made by them.

We can’t get rid of the edger because some of the logs are so big .

Why did you have to replace the shaft? Did it get bent?
No it just wears out from use
How big are your blades, my edger seems like it would saw 4x4 but i don't think blades are tall enough.
I’ll measure Monday but I think it’s 15”
