I watched all your videos in this series in 2022-23 preparing for my 23 Camino Frances. I loved seeing a mom and daughter doing it even if I'm a dad! I noticed in this particular video I stopped at the same cafe/bar after leaving Puente La Reina! It was my first ever cafe con leche! Also due to being inspired by yall, in summer 2026 my now 21 yr old daughter and I will be walking the Camino Frances together. I'm excited since I went solo last time and because this will be a wonderful trip with my daughter after she graduates from Georgetown University in DC pre-med (We live in Ga) and she'll start med school in the Fall after we walk!
Doing the walk with her is my favorite thing about it. I love it that she is so engaged and interested in it all. I think doing this with your child can be great or terrible. This was great for us!
Hello from Australia. Never walked a camino but plan too. I have watched alot of camino videos on you tube. Probably all of them. Yours is certainly up there with the better vlogs. Good stuff!
@@staceyandmollypilgrims if things go to plan ill be in europe for however long I choose in 2023. I was going to warm up with porto to santiago, then do some greek islands and then the frances camino. Maybe the ingles as well. All broken up by different other trips. God Willing. As I said I love the videos. Did you get a cat??????????????
Love your videos, I walked that path 3.5 months ago ,started from SJPP and I was in Santiago de Compostela on June 5th, loved every one of those hard and difficult steps…… and I did it in my first try to walk the Camino at 72. Im so grateful for it, thanks for refreshing the memories , wishing you safe and enjoyable Camino. Buen Camino . 🇨🇦
Liking how (so far) you are doing the uploads/walking/experience not to fast. Many Compostella travelogue sip by in the blink of an eye. For me, I like it to get much of it as possible hence on the slower, colder side.
Thanks, Joseph. Yes, we are both detail oriented people, so we prefer to give the slow, methodical approach. Also, I have a job and Molly has school, so one video a week is the best we can do. As far as taking the Camino slowly, we went with the strategy that there wasn't that much to do in many of our overnight towns, so we just spent more time on the trail and took more stops. Buen Camino.
Really enjoying these, as they are being published in week 3/4 of my initial planning for walking in 2023. Your titles for the last couple of days, however, seem to be a day ahead of the content of the video, FYI. Thanks for the work you put in.
You are right! Thanks for pointing out the title issue. I work on these the week ahead, and confused myself. I fixed it now, and thanks for the attention to detail. Buen Camino.
5:54 vineyards ... the ground is somewhat red, the wine is likely to contain iron, and there is a very famous wine of the area, which is good (because of that, and the ground is even redder).
I‘ve been following your journey so far. I‘m currently on my way through Austria all th way to Santiago. Very excited, sometimes super difficult, but faithful that I‘ll make it to the end
Wow. That's amazing! I would love to know your route, as that would be a dream trip for me one day. I've scouted it out, and it seemed a bit confusing through some parts of Germany.
@@staceyandmollypilgrims Well it´s basically completely up to you, which route you want to go. There are a lot of different ways to enter France e.g., also depending on where you live. Most start from home. But in your case, I would just choose a region that you always wanted to visit and start from there :) And then you can follow this one path, that probably leads to another at one point and so on :)
Hi. Love your videos. In Puente La Reina now and I’ve been watching your videos in advance of the next day. Very helpful. (Had breakfast at Cafe Tremendo outside Pamplona on your recommendation!). Thank you both!
3:56 _"cause it's in Spain"_ The ground and the kind of grass the cows are grazing would arguably influence the taste of the milk some - noticeable even into a café con leche.
Following your journey and really enjoying it!!! Thinking of doing that Camino September 2023. I saw in another video that you didn't have to check your packs. Can you tell me which Gregory pack you both have please. I really like that size. Keep up the good work. What a beautiful adventure to do as Mother daughter...
We are both using Gregory Jade 38s. I love the pack, but I would buy the 28 or 33 if I was buying it now. I’ve bonded with this one, so I’m sticking with it. Buen Camino!
Love your videos and even more that your daughter joined you in the journey. We did the Porto Camino this year in May and also took our daughter with us. I want to eventually do the France Camino and was wondering if there are hotels in each of towns along the way or some only have hostels. Thank You and keep up the great videos!!
Thanks for watching our videos. There were hotels in most of the places that we wanted to stop, but I did have to get creative a few times. In the end, we were always able to find private rooms. We only had one night with a shared bathroom, but I did book everything ahead.
Really enjoyed watching .. it had a little bit of everything!! Thank you 😊 for such a wonderful job. Beautiful scenery, fellow pilgrims, times and distances .. I feel like I'm walking with you both. What do you use for your filming/recording?? As a novice to the Camino (my daughter and I are going May 2023) have you thought of compiling a packing list?? Thank you again - both of you 💚
Thanks, Cathy. We mostly filmed on a GoPro 10, but I also used my Iphone 13 and Molly used her iPhone 7 a little (mostly for pictures). We do have a packing list (we are both list makers). I need to figure out how to attach it to our channel somehow. Or, should we make a packing video. I somehow think a middle aged woman will pack a little differently from all of the young people that I saw on packing videos. What do you think?
Thanks Stacey. I absolutely agree with different ages/slightly different packing needs. I'm 63, never 'too young' bahahaha to walk their first Camino. My daughter is 35. I think it would be great to have your knowledge and experience re packing items, what worked, what was invaluable. Of course, up to you. Looking forward to next week's instalment ... 🙂

I just finished my Camino a month ago and your videos were very helpful in terms of what to expect! Thanks you
I’m so glad that our videos were helpful. Where did you start your Camino?
Another wunderful Video, thank you!
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching.

0:55 now that looks like a good place to skate down! Good work 👍
The cobblestones might have made that rather difficult... I was very tempted to run down it myself. Imagine the momentum!

Mustard! All that magnificent Jamón and hardly any mustard! 😄 Buen camino!
Yes, they prefer mayo in Spain. I don’t think I saw mustard all summer.
