I followed your Coast to Coast and then the transition to the West Highland Way. I have been a long distance walker since 10 years old and enjoy it immensely. It is only recently that I have followed walkers Vlogs?, yours is the best I have viewed, in part I think because you didn't cram too many miles into a day and took time to enjoy the route. Thankyou
Really enjoying all of your Camino Frances videos.Just like being on the trail every day, the weather you encountered is a planning factor for my trip. I plan to walk the Frances beginning September 2025 and using your videos for reference. Question: did you check your packs with your airline or were you able to bring them as carry ons. Thanks, and I'll be looking at your packing video again soon.
I’m so glad that you are enjoying our videos. We carried our packs onto the plane, but we did check a small disposable duffel with our trekking poles, umbrellas, outer layers (for padding), and toiletries in it.
My brother and I finished our French Camino pilgrimage a couple of weeks ago. We faithfully watched your video each night to get an idea of what the following day might bring. Thank you SO much for the time and effort to create this playlist. It helped us immensely!
This is wonderful! I’m so glad that you enjoyed our videos and that they were helpful. I hope your Camino was all that you had hoped it would be. Buen Camino!
ようこそ! 日本を楽しんでくださいね。
It's amazing to see you in Tokyo, great trip!!!. I bet you walked a lot at the Japanase cities.
Pretty but most crowded park I’ve ever been to!
Truth! I’m glad that Tokyo Disneyland was not as crowded.
What a brilliant conclusion to the C2C accommodation review. We did this walk in 2008 using a mix of b&b, hostels and pubs which were more than adequate but your suggestions looked better (although probably more expensive) Well done 👍
Thanks. I can only imagine navigating the trail in 2008. You guys must have skills!
Claudia is a deer whisperer maybe an animal whisperer. Hope Molly is OK. We are heading to Tokyo on Tuesday. So exciting!
We have liked Tokyo a lot. It isn’t as crowded as we expected, and we love the feel of it.
"healing for Molly"?
We think she is suffering from Long Covid. Her energy level is extremely low and she has lots of body pain.
@@staceyandmollypilgrims Oh, sounds awful. Best wishes for her recovery. I've been praying to the Sacred Heart!
Looking forward to a full series of this trip. It looks amazing! You both are rocking the kimonos.
Thanks so much!! I rented mine, but Claudia got hers as her birthday gift.
You ladies look beautiful in your kimonos! 👘
Oh thank you! Getting dolled up in them was very fun.
delightful
Welcome to our channel!
Great to see a new view of My local environment. Just looking at doing a practice run From Wotham back to Dartford on the North down way. Just to get a feel. Lovely vid guys. ❤
Going with my great niece and her mum (my niece) and her mum (my sister) to Tokyo Disneyland in 2 weeks time. I’m reasonably sure they will all look like Claudia and know all the characters whereas I will find it a tad overwhelming. 🤣 Wish me luck.
We are going there next week. It is also a bit overwhelming for me, but Claudia enjoys it so much that it’s infectious.
Gelatoni, StellaLou and LinaBell all in one place! Claudia must have been on cloud nine.
Absolutely!
What a great bday present! Happy birthday, looks like a great time!
Thank you 🤗
Oh, it was her birthday yesterday! Happy Birthday, and excuses for the delay!
Thank you very much!
The flume ride looked nice, there is a steeper one in Liseberg (Gothenburg) ... not sure I'd dare to get back into it now, I was more reckless as a teen.
Now that’s an adventure!
Every exciting.
What fun! Happy Birthday Claudia.
Enjoy Hong Kong. They have wonderful hiking trails there with the most stunning views. Buen Camino!
Awesome!! This looks like fun!!
Great, helpful video! What were the dates of your trek?
June 2023
The part where you both run past the dead horse and you shout to Molly 'Don't look', in the original video was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
It is a core memory for sure. What a day that was!
What a lovely video! Thoroughly enjoyable.
Thank you so much. This is a subject that we are really passionate about!
14:43 It may have been very useful for my mother in 1977. I was 9, she took me to US ..., next year 10, she took me to UK ... and she treated me like a partner.
Sounds like a great lady!
12:17 Is that cat descended from Belloc's cat "Hitler"?
You never know! I loved how conversational he was.
Did you use a booking service? My plan is to use such a service, which books accommodations and transfers luggage.
We didn’t, but I might use one next time.

No son bahías (bays). Son Rías. La Ría de Ferrol. Valles de ríos hundidos e invadidos por el mar. Ría: nombre aceptado para designar este escenario geográfico.
Mz Stacey..sorry about your loss , glad ur doing well but that foot looks alive...lol..thank you again for sharing this and will look forward watching the Norte. Glad Molly git a chance to witness the trials at the university. Though I live in Vancouver BC always want to experience that event.
wait, there are two cats now?
Yes. We adopted a brother and sister after the Camino Frances. Mickey and Minnie.
The dead horse story is the most EPIC of all of them…!! Hope your foot is feeling better! And this subject is a great one for Camino families. I recently read Andrew McCarthys book “Walking with Sam” which is a totally different vibe of father and son walking the Camino. Looking forward to next weeks video.
Yeah. I have also read that and enjoyed it. We definitely had a different relationship going in, although theirs was a lot better when they were done.
I'm pleased that you clarified this. I thought you were musing about taking a small goat on the Camino. Thankyou so much for all you have published
Good one! I did consider calling it “child” instead of kid, but in the US, that is pretty formal. I realize that isn’t the case worldwide.
Lots of happy memories. It’s been a pleasure to follow your pilgrimages over the years.
Thank you for the kind words.
We are in the planning stages of doing it with a then 18mo old and dog 😅 this one will just be Sarria > Santiago bc of that
That sounds like a handful, but I’m sure you can do it!
What app do you use for directions on the Camino?
I have used Buen Camino and Wise Pilgrim. Both were good.
Oh Stacey I am sorry about your father. He looked like kind and gentle man who clearly loved his family. I am sorry too about the norte and even more so about your foot. That was a heck of a recovery period and I hope you have made a full recovery. You and your family will be in my thoughts.
Thank you. I am back to walking now and have started back running a bit. We are already mentally preparing for the Norte next year.
Glad you are both okay. Take care of yourselves. Look forward to your future videos
Thank you! Will do!
So glad to hear from you! I had just checked yesterday to see if I’d missed a video. You have been occupied! I’m sorry to hear about your fractured metatarsal, and Molly’s grandfather. I’m happy that you are on the mend Stacey, and look forward to the Oregon videos. As I watched the Olympic trials on TV I thought about Molly, and how exciting it would be for her to attend!
Yes, the trials were even more fun that we expected. We'll make a video about it.
So glad to hear from you! I admit I was a little concerned. Y'all had a crazy summer, but I'm glad you can look at the bright side and see that there were some positives about being home. I am so sorry for your loss. I know those last months are precious times. I'm looking forward to your future adventures!
Thank you. Now, the wait to get back is feeling long, but we'll be back on the trail before we know it.
So happy you have been able to embrace the blessings in your unexpected turn of events. One might say these are the ways of the Camino, learning lessons, and adapting. Buen Camino on your next effort 😊
Thank you. You are correct that I think the "ways of the Camino" have been helpful to us during this stretch. Buen Camino.
Glad you are going to make different videos! Hope the foot is pain free now!
It is mostly pain free. The particular spot of the break is pain free, but I think I list a lot of muscle down there, so I am working to build that back.
My heartfelt condolences :(
Thank you so much.
from Irun to San Sebastian was my first camino experience and it was mindblowing :O <3
So good! That would be a great first Camino day. I wonder if we'll end up just caving and doing that day again, too.
For the gramp who passed to his Creator in September: QDEP. For the metatarsal, breaking a metatarsal is _so fun_ isn't it? *Not.* I broke one in 2022.
I have had to be careful as I am getting back into shape to really take care of the foot. So far, so good.
@@staceyandmollypilgrims Best wishes!
