Born and raised there and throughout my years, I've seen it get worse and worse. What made it the last straw for me is back in 2004 when I drove from work in Burbank to Highland Park where my home was, it took me 3 hours to drive 16 miles on the 5 to the 110 and just blew up at that moment. I said "F*ck this sh*t. F*ck this city and f*ck this whole system!" So I moved out of LA. Best decision I've ever made in my life! Now it takes me 18 minutes to drive 14.5 miles to work (including part residential street driving) and when I'm on the fwy, I drive at 70 mph on average, during "rush hour". I may not make the money that I can in LA but it's so worth it. F*ck LA!!

Add the entire Bay Area not just San Francisco. Take 880 North from San Jose towards Oakland during the evening commute and you're in traffic for a good 20 miles at least not going more than 15 mph. Love California but hate all of the traffic. I don't think I will ever move to LA.
Wasn't surprised by SF at all. SF is roughly the same size as Disney World (land wise) with around 800,000+ residents, which makes it the second most densely populated city in the U.S. So yeah, traffic should be an issue. Atlanta is pretty bad. Miami CAN get pretty bad. New York, surprisingly isn't/wasn't as bad as I thought, though it's still bad. LA? Will be there next week so I guess I'll see....

Back then when they took the red cars out the red cars where not doing well but all these years later it makes you wish they did better.
LA traffic is bad, I really don't believe worst in the world, in my mind worst is many accidents and lawlessness on the freeway commute.
Just improve the freakin public transportation system!! Make it more accessible and keep it safe and clean!

@@1990758 Because it's not 100% safe or timely. The buses are frequently late and because of the homeless problem you never know what's gonna happen on the bus.
And I thought Chicago traffic was bad
