Tecmo World Wrestling was miles ahead of everything else. Pro Wrestling, especially for its 1986 release, was miles ahead of every other game. WWF never got its act together and realized people wanted the wrestlers’ finishing moves, even as late as the SNES Super Wrestlemania. Great video.
Yeah, the fact that Super Wrestlemania for the SNES didn't have finishers was just AWFUL. And the Genesis version...you could literally do it at any time in the match. So lazily programmed.
After watching this video I just bought five of the games on the list!
WCW was the best I used to play it with my cousins and brother and we laughed so bad it was the best experience back at the times one of the best games I had lol
I remember the scent of the cassettes and the smell of the adapter when heated and I remember wetting the cassettes so that it’ll run smooth lol 😂
Tag Team Match Muscle is the best game from my childhood! It is even greater than Mario & have played countless matches with friends.

Back in 92 zI played the crap out of Tecmo WW. My friends and I were obsessed with it.

Anyway, I hold the title in my neighborhood. I even pinned the Great Puma to become dual champion, though the Mag said to throw him out to count him out.
I still play the NES Pro Wrestling game. I even wrote a column about it, when I used to write an online wrestling column for a newspaper in Florida.
It's a great game. Always a challenge to reach and then beat The Great Puma. He possesses every move the other wrestlers do.
You have to get him early and often, otherwise a countout victory is not rewarding.

with the new popularity of portable compilation systems Americans are becoming familiar with games from overseas. Famicom had some very advanced wrestling games- all of which seemed to feature Abdullah the Butcher front and center- they never got a mention

I didn't see Super Star Pro Wrestling made by Nihon Bussan and published by Pony Canyon for the nes as for the list to me WWF king of the ring is the worst so i would put that at 10 then comes Tag Team wrestling at 9 and M.U.S.C.L.E at 8 and the rest of the list was ok

Best is steel cage or king of ring. Felt closes to SNES
WHen the guys go out of the ring in king of the ring....They look like they are about to take a massive dump!
haha u did it in reverse. no 8 and 9 are better and fun games than most of wwf crap on nes
