Cool! Thank you. It's something I've been adding to my more recent lists. A lot of people moan and say "game x isn't on the list" and I get tired of saying "it's good but not quite good enough". This is my way of at least shedding some light on some of the other games that were shortlisted, but didn't quite make it to the final 50.
I have been a game all my life and I have done the trippiest and flashiest animations in my life without a problem but this thing actually almost gave me a seizure. I had to close the video because of that effect. Never knowing what number 1 was.
Really great list. You understand the hardware and games extremely well to list them in that order. I added a few from you video to my play list. Thanks so much! I just finished Link's Awakening for the first time on real hardware. SUPERB!
No it doesn't. One is an RPG franchise, the other is Action-Adventure. You could say they're both traditionally top-down, but even that's a stretch for Zelda.
Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle deserves honorable mention at least. Its not a typical platformer but like a chase puzzler. You run away from enemies in "benny hill" logic gameplay, ducking into backroom passageways and using pipes to outmaneuver the bad guys. Sometimes you can push a big safe over a ledge to splatter them, or use a one-off rocket punch powerup. The goal each level is to collect all the carrots, but I think some levels are about finding a key. I'm sure the gameplay is simply ripped off some other game, but I still hold a ton of nostalgia for it nonetheless.
Thank you for just getting to the games and not wasting too much time. Really appreciate the nostalgia trip. Btw 15:03 was a big chunk of my childhood!
I really like this list a lot. I see some pretty good underrated gems and some I once owned as a kid...Killer Instinct being one of them. That was a good port. There were some that I don't see myself adding to my collection. But I see a large number of ones I want. What a selection! Thanks for sharing this. I now have an idea of what games to add to my GB collection.
23:38 "Bit of a Zelda clone." An eye-rolling moment that made me mutter if you've ever played Zelda. Anything top-down doesn't justify as a Zelda clone any more than Castlevania being a sidescroller qualifies it as being a Mario clone. For crying out loud, the Pokemon battles are turn-based random encounters!
Mario Land III: Wario was a phenomenal experience for me. It felt so novel back in the day when compared to other platform games. I concur with Zelda;s rank though. Also, I think there's a bit of a difference between people who started playing GB in the first and second halfs of the 90s. I'm the former, Pokemon doesn't excite me as much as Zelda or Mario trilogy (great game though)
It's 2020 and I just bought an Original Gameboy DGM-01 in pretty good condition. I'm going to install a back light mod on it and I can't wait. I grew up in the late era of the Gameboy Color when it was just about to replaced by the GBA, so I never seen or touched an original gameboy before, very excited for it come in and here to see which games I should get for it first.
Congrats! The original model is still extremely charming to this day. I threw mine out many moons ago because the screen had several stuck lines of pixels. I will get around to buying another one at some point, though!
Hyper Lode Runner!!! That's the one! I remember playing that as my first game when I was around 7!! I remember being absolutely obsessed with that game. In that game, you could create your own map, which was really unique back then.
Brings back a lot of memories. One forgotten game that I really liked was gargoyle quest. It was a completely new kind of game for me. Also ff legend was my first ever rpg game on any console. I remember first time playing this game, I was so confused. Lol. Thx I enjoyed the video.
Nice video by the way bro you got the cool Gameboy border thing plus nice bright text the show the game name and you even went above and beyond and put the games box art. Good shit bro. Good Shit.
People have an emotional attachment to games they played in their youth. If anyone challenges that or thinks differently, people genuinely feel personally insulted. Truth is, everyone's different, and their top lists will reflect that.
I'm surprised Kirby's Dream Land 1 and 2 aren't on the list. I think those are among the 10 best GB games. Anyway, I think you should do top 50 N64 games next time. EDIT: a GBC list would be nice too.
+Filipe Lima Thanks Filipe. Don't get me wrong, Kirby Dreamland 1 & 2 are fun games, but they just didn't grab me. That's not to say that Kirby won't make appearances on other lists though! A GBC List will be on the way at some point in the future. I would LOVE to do a Nintendo 64 list one day, but unfortunately my Nintendo 64 suffered water damage and doesn't work any more. I don't want to emulate N64 as emulation is notoriously spotty and inaccurately displays "N64 Fog", which was a big part of the '64's charm! I'm hoping to buy a new Nintendo 64 and Sega Dreamcast for videos at some point in the future.
+Mohammed Abbas I've tried Mupen64plus, Bizhawk, 1964, Cen64 and Project64, but none of them look accurate. I have now bought myself another N64 (one with RGB out via SCART) and an Everdrive cartridge. Once I have an RGB SCART to HDMI converter, I'll be able to show off N64 games (and Dreamcast) accurately.
+Juganawt Project64 works really well actually, but you have to switch out various files to get certain games running right, so it works great, but it is VERY high maintenance.
The Gaming Paladin There's a new plugin which is supposed to be pixel accurate, and when I tried it, it certainly looks the part - the trouble is, it runs at around 5FPS. Every other combination of emu and plugin I've tried can't emulate the n64's unique properties realistically - it all looks too clean and crisp in comparison to real hardware. Anyhow, I have a real N64 with RGB now, and after Christmas, I'll be looking at the best way to accurately and clearly record footage with it.
+Juganawt footage from N64 will never look as good it is on screen, unless your capture card recognize 240p. This is due to the anti-aliasing on the N64; it looks very good on 240p, but most capture cards recognize the signal as 480i, making the image looks very blurry. It is still a lot closer than the real N64 looking than any emulator, specially using RGB.
If I were tasked with it and tried for years I still think I'd have trouble coming up with a funnier game title than: "Sensible Soccer: European Champions" Edit: did NOT know Double Dragon 2, which I played a bunch, was a Kunio game originally. You learn something new every day.👍
+Paul Santos there is something very magical about the Game Boy's sound chip. I think it's only beaten by the Commodore 64's SID chip for pure 8-bit awesomeness!
Got all the games on this list except the Pokemon series, Zelda is my most fave!! I play most of mine on the super Game Boy through my snes. A great system to collect for! A few games not mentioned: Parodius is a great game as is Battle of Olympus, Bubble Bobble 1 + 2, Boxxle 1 + 2, Darkwing Duck, Avenging Spirit, Ultima 2, Cold Shadow and Speedy Gonzales. Oh Star Hawk and Kid Dracula aren't too bad either! Good informative video! One of the best i have seen!
Emmanuel Blas I hammered the crap out of Burai Fighter and RC Pro-Am back in the day. Going back and playing them as an adult, however, left me quite unfulfilled. I think I definitely prefer looking back at those games with my rose tinted glasses, rather than playing them today! Was never a fan of Fortress of Fear though. Hook was fun but I got bored of it, even back in '92 when it came out.
One of the honorable mentions - Mole Mania - is an absolute underdog gem if you like witty creatively designed puzzlegames that still feel like action games , a combination that is hard to manage if you ask me.
So many memories😍 As a 6 year old girl I got my first gameboy while on a holiday. My favourite gameboy game of all time is Super Mario bros (nr 2 on your list). I would play it all the time😍
A few great games missing from this video: Picross 1&2, Dr Mario, Catrap, Solomon's Club, Tetris Plus, Chalvo 55, Trip World, Kid Dracula, Parodius, TwinBee, Burai Fighter, Trax, Mercenary Force, Fortified Zone 1&2, Vanishing Racer, Roadster, Nintendo World Cup, World Beach Volley. But hey, it's a personal list - no hate for missing these out. Good video!
+Cs Sz Already working on 'em! I'm getting Broadband internet tomorrow after being without it for a few months due to moving house! The GBC one should be ready before the end of January, with the GBA one to follow.
ok I've watched a LOT of retro game videos and your last montage of gameboy runner up footage is outstanding! kudos Mr Gameboy! you also have a Red Dwarf Holly thing going on which is a bonus ;)
Great video I'm glad I saw Pokemon at least in the top ten. All the other games you mentioned besides Mario and Zelda, I couldn't really remember. I loved the video.
Even though i never played the legend of zelda as a kid, i really regret not getting the chance to and i think it truly deserves the number 1 spot, but pokemon should be higher on the list.
Maybe because it's his list and he can like whatever games he likes? I'm not fond of Pokemon, always found them to be really watered down RPG's. I prefer something more in depth like Final Fantasy Legend 3 (SaGa 3).
I always thought it bizarre that the GB did the Contra series better than the Castlevania series as it is a slower pace via game mechanics. Great top 50!
+ian comer I think both series had excellent representation on the Game Boy. Castlevania 1 on GB, while slow, is in my opinion one of the finer Castlevania games, and the sequel was fantastic. Contra is, well, Contra. Balls to the wall action that suits handheld gaming very well - especially Contra 3.
Another fine list! Refreshing to see someone with some personal taste. I've noticed that as time goes on, opinions of old games tend to gradually creep toward homogeneity.
I've noticed that, too. There seems to be a list of titles that seem to be socially acceptable to put in "best of / worst of" lists which has been heavily skewed over time (for example, Shaq Fu is often regarded as one of the worst games of all time and has had countless videos deriding the game, and memes that display how awful the game is, but it's not actually *that* bad, it's just merely a mediocre and forgettable title.). Thanks for your kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
+Juganawt shocking as it may be to hear, i liked Shaq Fu on Genesis, didnt really see it as mediocre or forgettable, but different and something that shouldnt be taken too seriously.
+ProphetOf Melodeath No, but if you look very carefully, you'll see that one of the rays reflecting off the power light slowly rotates over the left hand of the screen :D
Excellent picks. I haven't played most of these. I'm gonna change that. Pokemon definitely stole hundreds of hours from my childhood. I suppose Pokemon Blue is was my favorite game growing up.
Knew number 1 since the beginning of video, still got chill at the intro! Great vid, for me RType would be like top 20 and i would also add Wizards and Warriors X:Fortress of Fear and Micke Mouse:Castle of Illusion
Very brave! Side Pocket above Pokemon? not what i would have chosen. Personally, i wouldnt have Side Pocket anywhere near my top 50... i do agree with the bulk of it though and your number 1 is spot on.. there are too many top 10s, 25s and 50s where Pokemon is number 1 by default... just my opinion!
I love Bionic Commando so much, it's got that futuristic feel to that game compare to the NES version. Very sleek and stylish graphics. Capcom sure knows how to make the best of games.
Interesting side note, either robocop used the music from eriston washing machines for its intro, or it's the other way round. You can find it on UA-cam if you type in eriston washing machine ad.
The Robocop intro track was indeed used for Ariston washing machines in the 90's. The game came first, then the washing machine ad. "And on. And on. And on. And Ariston!"
wow my dad bought me gameboy pack with tetris and mario land 2 when i was 5, since that day im a fokin freak gamer xdxd good memories that vid. I played kwirk and didnt remember.
Problem is, UA-cam's compression absolutely murders any video at the GB's native resolution. The higher your footage's resolution = the less UA-cam crushes the living pants off it. Unfortunately, recording game footage at high resolution is a must. As an example, try to search a 240p or 480p video of a game on YT and compare it to a 1080p video of same game.
Yes. It is featured in my list. That was my first impression of Pokemon. Y'know, first boot up and couple of minutes play, based of visual style etc.. Of course they are different games and Pokemon definitely becomes it's own thing the more you play, but those first couple of minutes felt like a total Zelda / Earthbound clone.
+Juganawt well ok, I guess the first town does feel Zelda like, but having played multiple Pokemon games and Zelda games that statement came as a bit of a shock and I'd hardly call it a clone
+Juganawt This is honestly baffling. Zelda is a action adventure game with real time combat while Pokemon is a turn-based RPG where you train cartoon monsters. They couldn't have made the games more different if the developers had tried. The *ONLY* similarity between the two games is that they are both in a top-down perspective, which is such a surface level impression that you must of not spent any longer than five minutes playing either game.
Nice list, I’m glad you didn’t skip any inferior ports just because they were so much worse than their originals. And I like that you included games that aren’t really considered good by anyone else’s standards. Unique, good for you.
yea the ramp up of difficulty at the end it pretty steep. But you can farm 1 ups and get up to 99 I believe. It becomes full on super mario 3 near the end.
I played it a lot in my youth as well, along with other top-down racers like Micro Machines. Unfortunately, Wave Race runs at a fairly slow pace, and is just too pedestrian for my tastes nowadays - it hasn't aged well.
im still love this greenish,scan-blur ish image, that mark my childhood so much, men was so much fun,i swear if nintendo make a flashback of this,no matter what it cost i will get one,men like this channel.
TarH2O Worms came out on practically every viable format under the sun at the height of it's popularity. It's a really, REALLY solid version too! Perfect for on the go.
I feel like there really isn't enough vitriol in the comments concerning Pokemon's placement. Note, I'm not some poke-nut like the 30 somethings nowadays that have played every one and still collect cards, etc... but FUCKING POOL WAS MORE FUN FOR YOU??? REALLY??? I mean COME ON. It's POOL!!! There is something clearly wrong with you... like there is something wrong with my brother for liking Nights on Saturn over Twilight Princess. IT"S POOL VERSUS POKEMON>>> WHAT???? All the other top-10s were reasonable... But what the fuck? POOL? WHAT? POOL??? POOOOLLLL???? I THINK YOU ARE JUST TROLLING. I mean seriously. Pool? Over pokemon... POOL!
+Tellis Varda Yep. "Just pool" was far more entertaining, especially in 2 player. Pokémon is a good game, but I missed the Pokémon fever, due to being an adult by the time the first games came out. I didn't grow up playing Pokémon, I didn't watch the cartoon, I didn't buy into any of it. I take Pokémon as just a game, andPokémon games standing on their own are very accomplished games, but they also have problems.
Juganawt like i said. I'm not a pokenut. It's just that pool is nowhere close to pokemon. I really worry about you! Like honestly. It's pool, dude. Versus a massive RPG with near limitless replayability due to 2player. The makes of Side Pocket would certainly appreciate you having fun with their product, but also look at you strange when you said you liked it more than Pokemon. It's just weird, because you put Zelda and other real games up top, and then drop in a sports game ... It's POOL!! I mean I like me some sports games ttoo, and spent many a good hour playing online, but ... I mean come on.. You really have to be trolling? IT'S POKEMON!! It has an entire competitive scene, aside from the main story... the strategy.. the practice... the luck... the grinding... it's just so NOT POOL. I'm officially entering into my lexicon 'Side Pocket' as a new nickname to call my friends when they express a questionable opinion about something.. "I like the Turbo GraphX more than the NES!" Ok Side Pocket, you can like what you want. Still means I can look at you strange. "Chocolate tastes bad!" Sure thing Side Pocket, though I question your humanity. "Pool is more interesting than Pokemon" Okey dokey... just don't name your kids Hogarth.
and this is what I'm saying.. the makers of Madden would say 'thanks' to those players that liked it more than Zelda, but then look at them weirdly because even the devs would know that Zelda has much more going for it than Madden. It's like comparing checkers to chess.. I'm sure people like checkers more than chess too, but that doesn't mean chess isn't deserving of more fandom.
Good list! Well done video format! Many of them are my favorite games as well. I would add some tho: kirbys dream land 2 (very strong game), top rank tennis (not popular but probably the best sport game on gb) and f1 race / super rc pro am( one of the first games to add up to 4 players multiplayer, funny race games as well ).
+maxcrazy I had many a good time playing F-1 race with friends via link-up back in the day...but that, along with RC Pro Am, haven't aged well. Kirby was a fun series...but it had next to no replay value, and as the games were pretty short in the first place, I couldn't justify adding them - but I did slide them into my honorable mentions!
Formula 1 Race is missing here for me. Played it myself so much and my uncle did when he was in the hospital for some weeks and he beat most of my records :)
Great list! #1 could've easily have been the #1 on the Game Boy Color list as well. But I guess it was the best Game Boy game, either way. The color version does have its merits, though, due to it being an extended version of the game. I do agree that it belongs in your list where it is. But I'd highly recommend skipping that one and play the GBC/black cartridge version instead. Also, the Batman series is cool, but "Batman: The Animated Series" by Konami shines a bit brighter than those Sunsoft games you mentioned. Check it out, if you missed it. Tighter control and you also play as Robin.
I think 2 hidden gems would be God Medicine and Great Greed. I was surprised not to see them anywhere on the list. Also maybe Sword of hope 1 and 2. (Mostly 2)
I played so many of these as a kid. Not mentioned that I remember fondly (no idea how they hold up today) are The Addams Family: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt, Taz-Mania 2, Bugs bunny crazy castle, the amazing spider-man, Asterix & Obelix, alleyway, dr. Mario, Tiny Toon Adventures: Babs' Big Break and yoshi's cookies.
Came for nostalgia trip. Was not dissapointed! Totally forgot about those TNMT games. And that Batman game too! Going to look for those games straight away! Btw could you tell me what remixes of the Mario soundtrack those are during the honerable mentions?
Most of them, yes. I didn't own them all back then, but my friends and I lent games to each other when I was a kid, and as an adult, I went back and collected them all. The collection's gone now, but the great memories of being a 10 year old kid with a game boy and a game boy light magnifier, hiding under the covers in bed playing into the early dawn will always remain with me :D
Man I wish I never lost my old stuff. I had a gameboy and gamegear with loads of games. Tho it's simply astonishing how with such limited hardware, gameboy pulled off games that you just can't find on the gamegear. I had Mario Land, Metroid II, Final Fantasy Legends... Metroid2 and Final Fantasy were such epic games... just a marvel of quality development.
It is a crime that Kirby isn’t on here lol
You already ruined it for me
Not Really
But If This Was A Gba Top 10 Ten Then That Would Be A Different Story
I agree. There were many great Kirby games on the Game Boy
There are 3 of the Kirby games in the honourable mentions section towards the end of the video.

Get some batteries and play! :)
Enrique Jiménez ahah i will !
Awesome video. I'd add Kid Dracula. But you have lots of great ones on this list. And fantastic production quality.
So many memories😍 As a 6 year old girl I got my first gameboy while on a holiday. My favourite gameboy game of all time is Super Mario bros (nr 2 on your list). I would play it all the time😍
Awesome video and some of the games i have never even heard of but i will be on an lookout for them to add them to my collection
i was 5 yrs old when played the Gargoyles quest , best game ever. oh damn , nice Childhood
I played that game to death 💀
Prophacyx LEGENDARY
Just the music alone was enough to recognise each game I played as a kid, this was awesome!
Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge... because before Metroid-Vania there was Mega-Vania.
Good video!
All of these are fun games… but the problem is, there’s only so many games you can put on a list. Sometimes difficult cuts have to be made
I suggest u should continue with top gbc or/and gba games. Nice video!
+Cs Sz Already working on 'em! I'm getting Broadband internet tomorrow after being without it for a few months due to moving house! The GBC one should be ready before the end of January, with the GBA one to follow.
+Juganawt I'm looking forward to them :D Already subscribed.
"Metroid 2," "Super Mario Land" and the "CastleVania" series: coolness! Great video!
The music in Motocross Maniacs :'D
it's *Good*
ok I've watched a LOT of retro game videos and your last montage of gameboy runner up footage is outstanding! kudos Mr Gameboy! you also have a Red Dwarf Holly thing going on which is a bonus ;)
Justin Reinmuth Thank you. One question, though.
Male or female Holly?
@@Juganawt ah whatever floats yer boat ;)
#20 Gargoyle's Quest, my favorite
Great video I'm glad I saw Pokemon at least in the top ten. All the other games you mentioned besides Mario and Zelda, I couldn't really remember. I loved the video.
Even though i never played the legend of zelda as a kid, i really regret not getting the chance to and i think it truly deserves the number 1 spot, but pokemon should be higher on the list.
11:01 Dr.Franken. Music: *Moonlight sonata* also used in Shadowman (N64)
I'm fine with the fact that Pokémon is at 9th place but how is it even remotely similar to Zelda?
whatever they both have pokeballs.
I've concluded he was trolling us with Pokemon. I mean, he put A FUCKING POOL GAME AHEAD OF IT. POOL!!!
Definitely trolling.
Το Αλογάκι της Χριστοπαναγίας geia ellada
Maybe because it's his list and he can like whatever games he likes? I'm not fond of Pokemon, always found them to be really watered down RPG's. I prefer something more in depth like Final Fantasy Legend 3 (SaGa 3).
He Triggered you too eh? lol
It has some very smooth animation, but aside from that I found it a little lacklustre.
Juganawt yeah i can see that, also i hear that the SNES version has unresponsive controls.
Castlevania belmonts revenge is TOP game.I don't know why you put it in the trilogy, the game deserves to be in the top 10.
there is a dead pixel on your gb screen!
+ProphetOf Melodeath No, but if you look very carefully, you'll see that one of the rays reflecting off the power light slowly rotates over the left hand of the screen :D
+ProphetOf Melodeath Damn that pixel annoys me :)
Better than vertical lines.
I cant see shit
Watched whole video and didn't saw it. Now, after your comment, I can't unsee it again. Thank you. :D
Very well done Sir, a great list here...An expensive video for me maybe too, because you gave me a lot of new games to try and find :) Thanks!
+Kelly Herbert So pleased my video has piqued your interest in a few games you may not have previously heard about!
Good luck on your treasure hunt!
Cheers!! I appreciate it!
Excellent picks. I haven't played most of these. I'm gonna change that.
Pokemon definitely stole hundreds of hours from my childhood. I suppose Pokemon Blue is was my favorite game growing up.
+Micah Buzan Glad you found something new to enjoy!
Micah Buzan Wow, I didn't expect to find you here
Same here but i was born in very early 2000s so i had a ds that i played pokemon on.
Travis Burgess stop spamming yo shitty link.
NOBODY WANTS THAT SHIT BRUH
Pokemon blue all the way!!
Knew number 1 since the beginning of video, still got chill at the intro!
Great vid, for me RType would be like top 20 and i would also add Wizards and Warriors X:Fortress of Fear and Micke Mouse:Castle of Illusion
A little masterpiece!a dark and malinchonic game, his style was so different compared to the other games
HE WAS TROLLING CLEARLY. OR THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIM.
I love this Ranking! 💪
I love Bionic Commando so much, it's got that futuristic feel to that game compare to the NES version. Very sleek and stylish graphics. Capcom sure knows how to make the best of games.
Well at least you nailed the #1 game. I was legitimately surprised that you didn't call it a Pokemon clone.
Nice video remained me my childhood, it really touched me ,ha ha . metroid was my favourite.
Glad you liked it! Metro is really is a superb title.
The balloon kid!! What a game!!!! Thanks for the video!
Metroid is a Final Fantasy clone.
wtf why
LOL and Contra is a Mario clone.
Great format and production quality. Really informative. Thanks.
Great video.
Phillip Leslie Thank you very much!
7:54 daaaaaaaaaaaamn, you've awakened a long lost memory in me. I had this as a kid and loved it, but completely forgot about it.
"HD 1080p 60fps"
No offense, but a gameboy game can only look so good.
Quick Gaming naww youngin.
These graphics dabess.
Suppior tho that wack ass ps4 pro or the Xbox1 x
Knew all of em and played about 47 of the 50. Zelda is also my number one, nice list and video.thumbs up 👍
Just bought motocross maniacs, its amazing!!! :D
+Atari Game Lord I'd say, out of all the games on this list, Motocross Maniacs was the biggest pleasant surprise.
Did you ever get to try lucky luke or prehistorik man? Those are good hidden gems
Haha, Pokemon a Zelda clone? Have you played Zelda?
Uh, what? I played Link to the Past for GBA right after Pokemon Ruby back in the day, and I didn't think, "Hey, these games are kinda similar!"
YES,POKEMON IS A CLONE AND IS GARBAGE!!!!
Game Boy en 1080p 60fps... Bien sûr ! Mais sur un tiers de l'image. XD
omg i have been trying to remember monster max for like 15 years. thank you so much!
Mario Land 2 ist my favorite Game! :D
that last fight was fucking hard
yea the ramp up of difficulty at the end it pretty steep. But you can farm 1 ups and get up to 99 I believe. It becomes full on super mario 3 near the end.
thats awesome men
Awesome video! Thanks Juganawt!
When you said best storyline I just new it would be zelda
Would have liked to have seen Wave race on here but I think that's just because I hammered that game growing up. Great video!
I played it a lot in my youth as well, along with other top-down racers like Micro Machines. Unfortunately, Wave Race runs at a fairly slow pace, and is just too pedestrian for my tastes nowadays - it hasn't aged well.
Yeah totally, super slippy controls and slow which feels quite odd as a combination.
Motorcross Maniacs 😎👍👍
I have that game
im still love this greenish,scan-blur ish image, that mark my childhood so much, men was so much fun,i swear if nintendo make a flashback of this,no matter what it cost i will get one,men like this channel.
16: return of the joker, first game I ever had, even my mom played this!
It's STILL awesome and enjoyable, to this very day. There's something about Platformers of that era which just never ages.
+Juganawt what was that awesome remix that played for the honorable mensions? i really liked it
pokemon is a classic!
Nice list! I never even knew worms came out on the GB.
TarH2O Worms came out on practically every viable format under the sun at the height of it's popularity. It's a really, REALLY solid version too! Perfect for on the go.
Game boys are cool
whats the song that played during the honerable mentions list?
that shit was KOLD!
"Chocolate tastes bad!"
Sure thing Side Pocket, though I question your humanity.
"Pool is more interesting than Pokemon"
Okey dokey... just don't name your kids Hogarth.
Pool is awesome.
But it's pool, as in literally pool, versus a massive RPG with insane amounts of replay value and creativity. It's like comparing Madden to Zelda.
and this is what I'm saying.. the makers of Madden would say 'thanks' to those players that liked it more than Zelda, but then look at them weirdly because even the devs would know that Zelda has much more going for it than Madden.
Trax!
Final Fantasy Adventure! The music in the overworld is so amazing!
It would be #1 ex-equo with Link's Awakening for me !
Came for nostalgia trip. Was not dissapointed! Totally forgot about those TNMT games. And that Batman game too! Going to look for those games straight away!
Btw could you tell me what remixes of the Mario soundtrack those are during the honerable mentions?
Honorable Mentions track: "Super Mario Land 2006 (Radio Mix)" was made by a guy called Hypersnap.
thanks!
Most of them, yes. I didn't own them all back then, but my friends and I lent games to each other when I was a kid, and as an adult, I went back and collected them all. The collection's gone now, but the great memories of being a 10 year old kid with a game boy and a game boy light magnifier, hiding under the covers in bed playing into the early dawn will always remain with me :D
swimon free
We really needed HD 1080p to see that 140p screen. Thanks !
