Here’s a video where Dr. Berg talks about leaky bladder and other problems with urination. These conditions are all related to neurogenic bladder. The bladder is controlled by the nervous system called the autonomic nervous system, which also controls most of the valve in the body and the tone of the entire bladder itself.
    Neurogenic Bladder
    • Frequency of Urination
    • Urgency
    • Retention
    • Leaky from Cough and Laughter
If you are a diabetic, your risk of having a leaky bladder goes up by 200% because you lose one of the most important nutrients that supports the autonomic nervous system called B1 or thiamine. Deficiency in B1 could affect the nerves of the body and also the autonomic nervous system.
Recommendation: Take B1 or the whole B complex in the form of nutritional yeast.

Dr Berg you’re amazing with the knowledge you have and pass on to the public. Once again I referred myself back to the University of UA-cam with your channel. I’m diabetic, and for some unknown reason I started losing control of my bladder. If I’ve been sitting too long in one place I have to hurry up and get to the bathroom. I want to try what you said and talk to my doctor about it with a appointment coming up. I’m hoping that this is all it is and not something more serious. Thank you Dr. Berg.

here's a few suggestions for ways to treat bladder control issues :
Consider using Kegel exercises- which involve flexing the same muscles you use to stop the urinary flow.
Consider using losing weight if you are overweight excess belly fat puts pressure on the bladder and the pelvic muscles. Shedding a few pounds if you are overweight can help restore your bladder control.
Try to train your bladder - put off going to bathroom. Try to delay urinating by 10 minutes and build up to 20 minutes etc.
      Use magnesium and vitamin D
Try Quiting smoking. Nicotine can irritate the bladder.
(I read these and the reasons they work on Nilah Control Plan site )

I take nutritional yeast so I get the B complexes, have no diabetes, and yet I have this issue. I do not eat sugar, and haven't for years. My bladders seems very sensitive - anything acidic irritates it and makes things worse. I am also not overweight, nor have I ever been overweight. I exercise regularly and eat very healthy.

However, a leaky bladder may also be etiologic with urothelial degradation. This was my problem, remedied very well with chondroitin sulfate (place in blender with water) and Vitamin -E.
If the barrier function of the urothelium is compromised, the detrusor will be under continual irritation/inflammation, and the bladder will not store much liquid at a time---as little as 2 ounces.
You don't need a urologist to instill via catheter the chondroitin sulfate! Vitamin E is essential to potentiate the tissue repair!

Also to my amazement, my gums, which I had thought were fairly healthy, became truly healthy. All my teeth sitting tighter and small gum pockets disappearing. My recommendation for leaky bladder: Switch your diet to only eggs, meat and animal fats.

Great video. Recently I had major improvement with similar issues by taking B Complex, Magnesium, Chamomile, and quitting coffee. Magnesium and Chamomile help with nerve pain from caffeine withdrawal. This time quitting coffee, the magnesium and chamomile kept my legs from being very painful. Worked great. Now the frequency and urgency have dropped back to normal. Being "pre-diabetic" avoiding sugar and cutting back on fluids a couple hours before bed helped lighten the kidneys' load at night. Lowering my cortisol is also helping me drop pounds - and to be less cranky. ;-) The same combo of items helps with sore backs within one day. Heals the nerves. Thanks, Dr. Eric.

    • @lillypod1337
      @lillypod1337 5 років тому +1

Kegel exercise is a different muscle. A leaky bladder is connected to the bladder valve, this one you need to build up with nutrition, but it will only work if your cells are open to receive the nutrients. So do Intermittent Fasting like he says and take nutritional yeast first thing in the morning. Vit. C complex + a collagen supplement will supply the building blocks for a stronger valve.

By the time I decided to check I had about 8 scars from different toxoplasmosis infections on the back of my eye. This is unrelated to the topic of this video, but I'm concerned about the measles outbreak and how to prevent catching it or at least minimize any damage if I do. I was vaccinated long ago and they say those vaccines may not have been permanent. So, vitamin D3 supplement? I already take a mushroom blend as well as elderberry for immune system.

    • @flamingpieherman9822

Make sure your vitamin A level is good...this will help immensely. And youre correct, vaccines work differently in everyone...so anyone not keeping up with vaccs if they choose to go that route, will be susceptible.

I'm trying to reduce my urine sugar. During the night it becomes horrid with frequency of going to loo.
    So, now I'm on IF.
    My meal routine :
Having Evening Supper and Morning Breakfast, 2 meals within 24 hours. Using cold pressed Mustard oil; as I have no option here in Assam, India. Eating grass fed beef, no rice and wheat, but 1 cup of boiled sprouted chickpeas, 2 onions and 2-3 cloves, green chillies, ginger, lemon, and green vegetables. And 1 banana daily. Am I doing it right?
FYI: No butter, cheese and coconut oil available in our region. Mustard Oil is the only healthy option besides the unhealthy vegetable refined oils. 🙏

You are never in autophagy. It takes a minimum of 16-18 hours of fasting to get benefits. So having a meal every 12 hours will never get your cells to be truly open to release the garbage. Eat within a 6 hour window instead, then nothing until next day, same 6 hours of eating. Eating also takes time, so if you eat supper, at which point do you put the fork down? How many hours is it until you have breakfast? Is it over 16? If not you are doing it wrong. But, at least you're eating healthy stuff.

Aside from that just limit the time you spend talking on the mobile. I try not to and just use whattsap. Living in a large city does not help either its best to live in a rural area if possible. Do you have insulin resistance? Many people do, and they don’t even know it. If your doctor won’t do an insulin fasting test, here’s a simple formula. Take your triglycerides number and divide it by your HDL number. If you’re higher than 1.5, more than likely you are insulin resistant. Most doctors only check your glucose. Your glucose can be perfectly normal, but your insulin can be sky high.
