Not surprised it broke. The 1st year of a completely new truck, is always going to have issues. The 2016, 3rd gen Taco. Was full of issues. Glad I still got my 21 Taco, TRD OR. With 125000mi on it.
A prototype product was installed, it shouldn’t sound like that but the off roading threw it out of place, it’s another thing we were out here testing. We’ve removed it and a final version is coming, we should be able to announce that soon.
I have an older Tacoma, and was thinking up getting a newer one, but I'll wait a couple of years for Toyota to go back to simplicity and ruggedness with a V-6.
So far all the small things that are happening to the Tacoma. Has come down to an assembler issue.. not triple checking the specs of tightening down bolts etc… This is probably the 7th Tacoma I watch here with something breaking
*Great video. We took our stock height Lexus GX460 UP Diablo drop off on smaller tires and less ground clearance than your '24 Tacoma... i think the GX460 has like 8.6" and you have like 11" or something... anyway, work on speed/momentum and tire placement... our GX rides low compared to your tacoma:* ua-cam.com/video/chcJThZj8a4/v-deo.html
I was there on 19th,, I went there----anza borrego,, the east side of it toward the salton sea,, there was a sand dune hill for 4x4 off road fan club,, for atv stuff fun,,,, man.. I tested my ford suv there,, what the hack,,, it did not work for my ford because I don't equip with locker,, and the hill is too steep, and lurch 17 degrees to the side,, no way,,, man,,,,
My truck just did the same exact thing with the front passenger strut. Mostly flat road at speed and then THUMP!
Thank you UA-camrs for ironing out the bugs. The truck sounds like my 86 Subaru GL when the lifters were going bad.
How is it that there is no update here?
Good luck with the dealership and let us know what happens
Anything that smokes a rock at 60mph will fail.

Any update? Dealership cover it?
Any update on what dealer said and is this fixed? Any info
You should rename this video or make a short about that strut cap
The 4th Gen is very noisy! Almost like grinding metal! Thanks for the video
Why does it sound like soft metal grinding in the wheels at 5:27 ???🤔

What you did was no did was no different than hitting a bump on the highway. No way it should have broken.
Too many of these are breaking in different spots. Great video and I will subscribe and enjoy your other stuff
Right after doing the most and in the easiest spots lol
You are missing the front air vent screen just below the driver side head light, it's missing during the intro and through the whole video...
Yes, we took it off to scan and design a new one with some Bajas in it.
I don’t think was a little bump 😂
I can’t believe a brand new truck already broke 🤦♂️ @Toyota

Tfl, this one, a few grill shutter sensors. What else have you seen?
@@mad-meh2719 overheated tranny while towing.....
@mad-meh2719 what do you make of that shock bushing coming loose? 😅
@@mad-meh2719 over heating transmission while towing a light load.
Yeah these cracks can’t be an assembly issue.
Please keep us updated and be transparent about it! Can’t wait to see what Toyota is going to say on their case by case warranty.
I’m pretty sure Toyota will fix it but I’m not sure of the time frame.

This is not a good sign! Warranty all day they should give you a new truck!
Y can't you keep it in reverse and let it drop down to the axcel, then pull up and dig where your front tires are. Dood your driving me crazy lmao
What is going on! @TOYOTA
Lol why does the engine sound so bad?
High pressure direct injection. They are all going that route. Ford GM etc
Your not even aired down
TIRES
Toyota is a good truck. Dont abuse too much until you make modifications.
tacoma "off road" should never be taken "off road".....that is the lesson here.
ANOTHER broke toyota "off road"!!!
Yep. 🤷🏻♂️
