8 years later and I still think the standard TT front-lower bumper design is so attractive compare to the rest, I couldn't wrap my head around it! Something about the linearity i think, the way it connect from left to right..

I just wanted to say the exact same thing Thomas says above. Just got a second hand S-line TT 2015 model, and this video helps pointing out the differences between the models, as well as having useful opinions by the reviewer. Cheers for that.

Really love that you included the base model. Tired of only seeing reviews of the top models and with extra features. Nice to actually see what you get if you actually pay the extra money for the exterior. If you don't have a base model to compare to you dont know the difference to begin with.

You are brilliant they way you review cars. You make me really appreciate every aspect of the vehicle. I really enjoy when you talk about the lines, and styling. Before watching your videos I never thought about design the way you do. Most automotive reviews will say something basic like "Aggressive design" and then do a 0-60 run(pretty lame). Anyway, keep up the great work!

About quattro, well yes its nice if the car is not only front wheel driven. But is it worth the money? Depends on: Do you drive the car in snow? And: Are you always hammering the throttle that hard that the front wheels would slip? If you can answer both questions with no, then you ll be fine with the FWD :)
I have the Audi TT S-line 2016 and was told that you cannot install google Earth view on the 2016 models but after viewing multiple youtube videos I frequently see that the 2016 models like in this video have the google earth view??? I would like to have it, can somebody tell me if it's possible to get it? and where? thank you
Loved the in depth review! I have my mind set on this car, saving up right now so as to get it sometime in 2016 or so haha. It would be my very first car, well first self bought car. Could anyone suggest a color for it? I obviously wanted the Mythos Black, but heard that it'll need a lot of cleaning. We could "only" test the TTS on the race track so far. The official consumption figure is 7,3 l / 100 km, so in reality, depending on your driving style, you will surely end up above 9 liters.
***** That is a little high. But you get an Audi S badge at such an affordable price, it is very tempting! 310bhp for a 1500kg car, the engine sound, the beautiful wheel design, quad-exhausts and less-than 5 second 0-100kmph maybe enough to compensate for 9.0 l / 100km. Thank you very much!

Great content, thanks for posting it. Production/editing suggestion: consider intercutting more regularly between wide shots and close-up or medium shots of the on-camera spokesperson.
Extended wide-shots are visually tedious, and allow the audience's mind to wander.
Intercutting with other angles and different framings / focal-lengths allows you to better control pacing of the monologue, and also allow natural intersections where you can delete awkward pauses where the host is attempting to recall his next line.
Takes shot in a static wide-shot rarely should last more two to three sentences before cutting to a different angle, a close-up of the spokesperson, or B-roll of whatever item is being discussed. Watching an on-camera spokesperson speak at length on any topic, no matter how educated he may be, is tedious to watch for an audience, and comes across like a lecture.
Compare the intercutting of angles during the test-drive section, which is paced very well, versus the initial introduction monologues. Otherwise, very nice work, excellent content and a great review!

Hi, it is only available if you pick the optional Full-LED-lights
To be very exact: There are 3 options, Xenon (serial), LED and Matrix-LED. Only Matrix LED delivers sweeping indicators back AND front, "just" LED only back sweeping.
Dislike the "claw" led lights. Other than that, one word for this car, gorgeous.
Very Good review ! Interesting vehicle, would love to see the Diesel ver.here in the US. MPG is very important now a days, new emission standards in US ,if urea would be needed? Probably. How would that figure into the cost to own equation ?

TechExplorer Thanks Joe! I can give you a calculation example for Germany. Here, we pay more insurance and more taxes for a Diesel, maybe 500 Euros more per year for that car. The Diesel consumes about 5 l on 100 km, and Diesel is about 1.25 Euro at the fuel station. Petrol fuel is about 8 l / 100 km and costs about 1.40 Euro. With 20.000 km a year, you would pay 2240 for the petrol fuel and 1250 for the Diesel. Makes 990 Euro difference minus 500 Euro more you pay on insurance and tax -> 440 Euro saving. Means: It doesnt make SUCH a difference, but as soon as you run about 20.000 km a year, it pays off, if you only have it as a 2nd car and go like 8.000 km a year, you can pick the petrol one.

I don't understand why the European automobile companies wouldn't focus on US auto market as much as some other country does? You know there's small Eastern country produce many auto models and offer them to the US, they care US market more than any other markets, so, the US auto culture has been ruined by that country. I don't see the reason. Are Europeans not care about the US auto market or they are not as good/competitive as that small Eastern country? or some other reasons? IF European give up US market, then European auto culture will be the history forever....

Actually some European manufacturers missed chances on the American market, that's why Volkswagen CEO Winterkorn now says he will personally address the American market. Come on, it's still the 2nd biggest auto market in the world... some manufacturers didnt really fulfill the needs of the American car customers. And I think, the market is pretty hard as for discounts etc. In comparison to Europe, cars are extremely cheap in America. And the Asian companies do better in producing cheaper cars, that might be one explanation. You are absolutetely right, this is a very important and interesting issue.

You see, some Eastern automobiles have realized the gravity of the competition to against European manufacturers. They have paid so much attention on American market, to produce what EXATLY Americans like. Step by step, after all these years, they have grab so much market from European and American market sharing. I don't know what have you European companies waiting for? Some European companies have withdrawed their market in the US, and American automobile industry have been struggling to maintain its glory of cars. Take a look now, even another small Eastern car manufacturer have started to grab American market. Precisely, not just Northern market they want to conquer, they have aimed the whole world with ambition.
For those auto manufacturers in Europe, I don't know what have they been waiting for. What I know is if they keep such blur competitive concept to run, the glory will be gone with the wind forever.

Mustafa Ali Şafak Basically, yes. And it will stay that way for sure, there is no Audi with rear-wheel drive. All powerful models that cannot get the torque on the ground via the front wheels have the quattro then. Most TTs that will be bought thus will have all-wheel-drive.

I don't like the idea of putting the navigation system into the speedometer... me as a passenger like to see where we are going and how long we need to get there and having the navigation system in the center console is cainda like feature what makes the interior look better a Head up Display would be way cooler and interactive
Cjkologe Indeed this is one of the flaws. The new Passat offers both central display and driver's display. Indeed also my co-drivers take the GPS part when driving together.

Can you please review a little bit about the paddle shifters and stick shift? My understanding is that Audi does not want to make Audi Tt with just standard stick shift any more, so the whole transmission thing is very confusing. Maybe it's automatic only but override with paddle? Stick shift and paddle? Just stick shift? I live in Canada, so I am not even sure what we will get..

I discovered there are two LED headlight options; Matrix LED and normal LED.... I love the feel of the steering and the wheel... Drives like a suction cup on the road even at speed.. 18 inch tires help soften the ride but.... 20 inch is for me 👍

Yes! and it has 10 gigs of storage for music and music album artwork.. I am curious as to the level of detail for the street maps. One reviewer was told that zooming all the way in to a location displayed Google Street View... so it has to be a huge database in the car. Probably solid state drive at least 1 terabyte.

I have a Lexus IS with a 2 L. I4 turbo. It has Direct/Port injection which means I don’t have to be concerned with carbon buildup. It’s ludicrous that VW hasn’t applied the same principle to their engines!

Pretty much all vw/audis do that. It's just to point out that you're wasting battery power from having the electrics on with the engine off

I test drove the TT 2.0 petrol, its NOT fun to drive at all. This video is more of an AD not a real review. Just a fancy video without real critical points being made.
