Great review, the only thing I don't see in these reviews is how both cameras handle flash photography. The shutter speed of the a7 cii is 1/4000 vs the a7iv 1/8000. I want to see real life examples of both.
Also the flash synch speed is reduced from 1/400 in the a7IV to 1/160 in the a7c II. Both factors impact shooting with flash/strobe with wide apertures in bright light. Both can be mitigated using ND filters.
Yeah, with a lot of the newer sony models I haven’t seen a ton of improvement from year to year as far as image quality. It seems they’ve been leaning into improving the AI software instead
