Thanks a ton for including info about dimming! I'm currently trying to figure out light levels for my week 2 grow and this was perfect. Thanks for doing all that work and happy growing!

You bet, I am happy to hear that the numbers were able to help! It is a bit surprising, but these light reviews take up a pile of time with all of the light measurements that they require to try to get accurate info. This is the kind of thing that I always wanted to see in a review though, so I am trying to make sure that I get it added in =)

@@TheHippieGeeks man I bet it takes a nice chunk of time and concentration, which is why this info is so valuable to new growers or new owners of this light. Thanks again! Honestly it's an inspiration to put info about my experience out there to help anybody I can. Let's grow this community like we grow our girls!

Thanks, I just sprouted 2 this morning in my SF 2x4 + sf2000. I am using slow release dry amendments, Earth Dust. I am a little concerned about the watering amounts. Looks a touch wet still but hopefully not too wet. I am thinking about 2.5 gallons of water filtered through a ceramic+carbon filter should be good once the dirt drys.

Early! Great info I’m in my first grow with this similar setup except the lights I have are 2x vivosun vs1000’s so I’m kind of trying to relate to all this info because there isn’t much videos on vivosun leds as there is SF. Thank you for the time you put into this video much love

The VS1000 is pretty similar to the Spider Farmer SF-1000, though I haven't tested it so it is likely different in one way or another. I have an older review of the SF-1000 that you can look at as a comparison, though I need to actually re-do it this year as I have changed how i do things. This should give you a bit closer information to what you are looking for though =) ua-cam.com/video/EAQyAN4BaHI/v-deo.html

I just got mine yesterday, I constructed it today and it was a lot harder for this fat old longhair than i anticipated. Still, it looks like a quality tent , i love the overlapping material on the zippers to keep out any light leaks. I'm hoping that the SF2000 will generate enough light for the 4 smart pots that came with the kit. Still trying to figure out what the holes on the sides of the tent are for....lol
    Thanks for the video.

    • @TheHippieGeeks

The new tents with the overlapping zippers are really nice, and I like the orange better than the purple that they used to have =) A single SF-2000 works well in a tent this size, we did a grow with that setup and a pile of plants that went really well =)

  • @---GOD---
    @---GOD--- 2 роки тому +1

You can mount the filter outside, but it's better to have the air pull through the filter rather than push out of it.
The reason for this is the pre-filter cover will collect dust and other impurities from gathering inside of your carbon filter or fan or even the insides of your ducting.

I am not sayign that the single SF-2000 in here is perfect, but we made it thru our last grow with 6 plants in their slightly larger tent and had a very decent harvest by the end. I am not saying that it was ideal, but it was very workable.

I wonder how loud the fan is, will it annoy me in my bedroom?

It isn't bad around medium, though all fans get kind of loud at full speed. Just depends on what level of noise you find annoying.

Is their site legit? Looks like it’s based off in China and their PayPal name is in Chinese. I just sent my order but it now seems very sketchy.

They are a legit company =) Most of these lighting companies are based in China, with distribution centers around the globe.

@@TheHippieGeeks Aw dang. I googled if they’re legit and saw some reviews saying customer service was bad and those customers lost money. Just canceled my order. However it was $581 after using your discount code. Amazon was $659. That’s $70 difference ! Should I re order on their site or Amazon? Not sure if delivery time will be the same.

    • @TheHippieGeeks
      @TheHippieGeeks  2 роки тому +3

If you want the peace of mind of Amazons easy returns, go with them. However while I have heard that dealing with returns can be a pain sometimes with Spider Farmer, I have never heard of anyone getting ripped off. Also remember, Paypal itself has some pretty iron clad protections, and if you feel that you are getting ripped off just report the transaction to them and you will typically get your money back that way as well.

You ended up with plastic corners in a Spider Farmer tent? That is really weird, we have never seen plastic corners on any of their tents that we have set up.
