I just got me a Mars Hydro 27 x 27 inch for 350 with a 1000 watt led set up. Will most likely get a 4 foot tent very soon.
I just set mine up this evening.
1 gallon paint strainer bags works like a charm for the intake pre-filter. Available at most local hardware/paint stores.

if my plant's don't stink does that mean i am doing something wrong? or have i been just been lucky? they smell really nice but you have to go up close to them.
I wouldn't call it lucky. My best plants always stink even in veg. It's going to be mostly genetics based, if you're keeping them happy that's all you can do.
@@Justintime2grow i must be under feeding them, i think so, but, mine grow super fast also, i found a old writing about how important side lighting is also, i know you talked about this already, but they were saying added about 30- 40 grams, so i stuck this 4 foot led stripe light that was broken on the side of my wall its like super pink weird ass light, but it is made for plant's. honestly it makes me feel kinda dizzy also.

Does blowing the air thru the carbon filter not make its life lower?I read that if u do it that way, you have to change your filter more often.i may have to rearrange my filter set up now after seeing this video as it only a small grow tent I am using which is very cluttered at the top with the fan and the filter set up.
Not that I've noticed. Like I said you just want a filter on the intake so you don't clog the inside of the filter. Been doing it this way for years.

You say you couldn't flower in this 2X2 tent - but what if you only had 1 or 2 plants? Wouldn't the light be good enough? (considering you thought it had a reasonable PAR on your review)
Also MASSIVE ENVY that you can access (and supply!) medicinal products so effortlessly...I've had chronic neuropathic pain for 20 yrs and its extraordinarily expensive and quite difficult in Australia. I read today that most of our medicinal cannabis gets exported to Germany for $ so the supply is minimal and frequently low/out of stock for local patients lucky enough to get Federal Govt approval.
I have a plant limit so I grow larger plants that's why I couldn't use it. If you wanted to just grow 2-4 small plants you could. Like 2' tall plants.

@@Justintime2grow thank you! I would love one of those, but that's a little steep for my small set up. I've never bought anything off Alibaba. They have the same thing there and it appears to be from the manufacturer in China and it would be $750 after shipping, but I have to check how much the trade Assurance would cost because I would definitely want to have it insured and I don't know how reliable that is. Were you lucky enough to get that for free from the company?

search for Quantum PAR Meter. Not under $100, but under $200. Works great. There are also light intensity apps for your phone that can be translated into par, but the above Quantum is great.
Snagged my 4x8x6s for 120 a pop on eBay last year. They are acceptable, I used too much exhaust and the fabric pulled in and a few holes in the Mylar appeared. I put tape on it and it’s fine now

It’s good, I helped them adjust their door widths, port placement and other things. Moat tents in this price range use very similar build quality, likely even the same factory. It’s all in where they put the ports and how many, what size. They’re all going to have some pinhole light leaks because of stitching but I’ve had tents with literally hundreds of pinholes and didn’t effect anything. Gotta figure they can take a full moon in dark time. Strong genetics matter also.

It's a spectrometer and PAR meter together. Not much else to say that can't be just read by looking up the specs.

I'm looking into a tent kit with light and filter. I'm torn between Mars Hydro or Spider Farmer. Does anyone have experience with both brands? I might get 2, one for veg and one for flower. I would appreciate any advice from anyone who knows about both.

what's this thing with the carbon filters having the extract _pushed_ through them instead of *sucked* through? as the manufacturers say they don't work well like that...
They can be used either way as long as you have a prefilter. If you think carbon cares which way the wind blows I got some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you. Been doing it this way for years.
Works fine that way. AC Infinity shows multiple ways to connect their carbon filters on their website. And I quote "your grow lights might get in the way of your cooling equipment. In this case, you may set the fan and/or filter outside of your grow tent."

Why do u need a grow tent ?
It's a self contained reflective environment that's easy to control and is light tight.
When he’s talking about the readings in each pots, that’s how much light each plant is “getting”. Without the reflective material from the tent the plants wouldn’t “get” as much light or any.
Much easier to control humidity with a tent on a budget set up
You want use duct btween fan and filter to reduce vibration
No YOU want to do that. That’s not even a factor here.
Grow kits are a ripoff, do the math....

An SE3000 light works brilliantly in this tent, I had to downsize from the 3x3 to the 2x2 and the coverage is great
