- If you’re as confused as I was about the K1 Fiancé Visa Process, I thought I’d create this video to break EVERYTHING down for you into 13 STEPS from START to FINISH!
I searched through countless amounts of material online and did extensive research on the entire process as my partner and I decided to go through the process without the help of a lawyer.

@@lillucky4967 I was informed that the quickest processing facility is Nebraska (average time 5 months) and the longest processing facility is California (10 to 15 months.) When you mail in your application you have no control over where they will send your application packet. Of course, I was hoping for Nebraska, LOL Having watched MANY K1 application videos, I decided to send "everything" I had and could think of to prove the authenticity of our relationship, which was definitely more than the USCIS website seemed to require. I felt like if I gave them all I could, they might not need anything additional to approve the application. As the universe would have it, my application was sent to "California!" So, I readied myself for the long "at least a year" wait for a reply. To my utter amazement, my application was approved in "56" days! Perhaps the K1 gods were looking out for me! ...but of course, I am extremely grateful! My experience may be unique, but I am anxiously awaiting the next steps so we can prepare for a successful interview and begin writing the next chapter of our lives.

I think so, too. I have read so many documents from my country and the US, but overall it is all so very confusing and we had no clue about the G11smth that gives you e-mail updates... I wish we had known. It was never mentioned anywhere. I am so glad I found this channel and video. This helped me feel a bit less stressed.

and my fiance, in the Dominican Republic, just told me today how stressed she felt yesterday. The email I received says she has to make 2 appointments at the VAC AFTER she registers and creates a profile. She doesn't want to make any errors to prolong our case, and I am doing all I can do to help. I am researching and watching youtube videos everyday trying to give her more comfort in the process. I am always open to suggestions/answers. Our lawyer is currently working on the DS-160. I don't see how it wold take him over a week to fill it all out when he has all the information required. I gave him all the info for the I-134 too.

This video is amazing!. I have my medical on Monday and interview at the end of the month. I don't feel ready at all, we used the company rapid visa to help us with the process and its been a shambles from day 1. Now its time for my interview and I'm scrambling to get all the correct information from them, that I need to take. Had no idea that I needed to bring so much paperwork with me.
I'm so sorry to hear! Yes, a lot of paperwork is needed but some aspects are country specific. We tried to include the items that we took and a broader range just incase it might be needed for others too. Of course at your medical they may not need certain items.. but there is a set requirement of vaccinations you must have to immigrate on the K1 and also for adjustment of status

You can do it yourself. I did it. Submitted it in December of 2023 and was approved in just 4 months. Now I am waiting to hear from the National Visa Center.

Actually I do have a question and it’s a bit frightening for me but I will ask anyway. My fiancé is from Ivory Coast but he came to Morocco to work however he did not obtain a legal status in Morocco and he has been here for about 7 years now . I just came to see him for the first time and I’m sure I will need to show evidence of that while applying , however my question is will that be an issue while applying for the K1 visa?.
I'm probably not the right person to ask as I'm not a legal expert, so it may be worthwhile consulting with one. However, my advice would to just be honest when filling out the forms. The forms don't specifically ask for proof of employment or status. All they're asking for is that you've met the requirements for the I-129f petition - and that you're in a genuine relationship who are willing to marry each other in the USA

This is the clearest guide ive watched for a long time. As a current uk Beneficiary, I believe that a UK ACOS police certificate UK 'copy' has to be included in K1 folder and then ACOS updated closer to the visa interview in London embassy, approx 14 months later (or however long it will take) So it will be 2 purchases of this ACOS document. But I might be wrong!!!!! 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸

But if you are going to, then you can always add a receipt of a wedding dress purchased, a template of the wedding invitation you intend to use etc. Anything that shows that you are planning on getting married.. or anything that conveys a genuine relationship.

This has been a pretty good overview video for me. Thanks for putting in all this effort. We're still waiting on our petition, but it looks like they're processing the cases from last March-May right now, so... as soon as next month I could hear something! So much to prepare. Seems like it's going to be a lot of running around from here on out, and a lot lot lot more paperwork (and money.) Something logistically I've been curious about... Often times, a lot of these documents require signature of both petitioner and beneficiary... except when you're base of operations is in different countries it can be a bit of a mess to do all this. It's been exhausting travelling many thousands of miles back and forth to see my fiancé, so I'm looking forward to this process being completed, but I'm wondering how others work through that issue. Finally, if you could update the comments of this video to include some of the helpful links you mention, it would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you! I'm no expert but we did everything in person similarly to you. If we weren't able to we would have just signed documents and then scanned & emailed any paperwork to each other.. or just mailed documents by postal service.
I’ve been flying a lot back and forth between Mexico. Shipping documents between here and there is shockingly expensive and the mail service is painfully slow here. Mail takes 6-8 weeks. If I want to use DHL or FedEx, it’s about $70 each way just to send a standard 8.5x11 letter pack. I started the paperwork together with him, flew back to the states to mail it on my next trip. Passport photo sizes, too, I struggled with getting the right size in Mexico, so we just did our own photos on a blank white wall and I had them cropped and printed at CVS stateside. They sure don’t make this process easy, nor cheap!

Thank you!! I would personally write the date & place on the front of the photo rather than the back. However, I'm not an expert on the way they do things.. all I know is that on their website they mention that they scan documents into their system - so ideally you want to make things easier for them so all the information is accurately recorded.

The I-134 does not need to be submitted with the I-129F. You fill in the I-134 form and give it to your beneficiary to take to their interview. I'll make a video on the I-134 :)

That makes me so happy :) We did! He luckily had a B1/B2 visitor visa so was able to visit frequently.
This is great information. Ultimately though once anyone gets to NOA2 and NVC, they must follow what their embassy guidelines are. Some countries cannot pay the DS-160 online nor can they schedule online. Again great resource but it’s ultimately the filers responsibility to do due diligence on what their country requires.

This was one of the most thorough videos though that I’ve seen. You broke it down very simple.
Should be the same, your comment seems kind of banal, just the payment method different but the process is still the same.
@@One-12937 actually it’s not. I could not pay online, I could not schedule my interview online, I had to get extra paperwork from the religious court for my country, scheduling medical was different and more. As I said, this was a very thorough video, but everyone has to follow their embassy instructions once they get to that step. There was nothing negative about this comment, it’s just adding the disclaimer as it’s shown through the comments advice that scheduling and paying online is possible, when most countries that’s not the case. Yes the process is essentially the same from the start, but after NVC to Embassy, it’s different.
Hi. This video was so thorough and complete. Thank you so much for uploading. My question pertains to police clearance certificates. My fiancée is an OFW and has worked in Quatar, Lebanon and Hong Kong ( as well as her native Philippines). Am I correct to say that she should wait to get these documents together until after we get a case number? Hello! I finally received my K1 Visa!!! I will travel to the US next week! I was wondering how you were doing and if you have already started the adjustment of status process. I have all the docs ready for the next process and, honestly, the K1 Visa process seems more difficult (maybe because I will be with my future husband and it won't be as draining). I think it may be country specific. But in our case we had to book our own medical appointment (in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧)
A waiver can be obtained as a separate document for those who do not take any vaccinations for religious reasons. There is an extra cost for that.

Hello! First, I need to say: Awesome video. It’s concise and really helpful to everyone on this K1 journey. I have a specific question and I’m not sure if you’ll be able to help, but let’s try.
My fiancé is American, but she has been living outside the US since she was a child. We met here in Brazil, where we have been living together for the past two years. We are now planning to move to the US and start building our family. From what I understand, she would need to be living in the US to apply for the K1 visa. Do you know if there is a way she can continue living in Brazil while we wait for the K1 process to unfold?
My fiance and I still have have a long way yet. But I hired a immigration attorney for that

Your video is great! I do have a question, my fiance and I received the K1-FTP on March 12. We paid all our fees on line by March 28 and the status is READY. We are using a lawyer for the k1 visa. Our lawyer told us we have to wait for the welcome letter from the usa embassy in Sydney. My question to you is how long is this process before I should expect the welcome letter? I understand it all depends on the us embassy and the queue for open spots for interviews. I know the medical comes first. My question is about the DS-60 form. My fiancé lives and works in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Can I fill out the DS-60 form for her from the United States?
The 2nd question: She changed to a new job. I heard you say we can fix this on the DS-60 form? And the last question: How and when do I start the next step after I get the approval letter? Do I wait 2 weeks, and they will send me the next step? Please help.

It is the best explanation video ever! Thdnk you so much, quick question. After the case is in status ready, you can submit ds 160 immediately or you can wait until all the documents are ready. I need police certificates from several countries, and I am worried for the time frames. Thank you once again!
I'd probably wait nearer the time because the DS-160 expires after 30 days.. but you could watch our video on the DS-160 and write all the info you'll need to fill out on a piece of paper so you can copy & paste when the time comes. Hope that helps :)
