Thank you for providing the download link to the unlocked version of the I-129F. But I noticed a few fields are still locked for me... such as 10.b., 38.a., 38.b., 38.c., 44, 45.a., 45.b., 45.c.,46 ... etc. Do you know whey this would be?
Disregard this question as I see you've already answered it when I searched through the comments. Also I notice that even on the locked version of form I-129F from the USCIS website, those same fields are locked and unable to be edited. So those fields need to be filled in by hand after the form is printed as you've previously stated. Thanks again!
Hello, and thank you so much for your help. These were very much much helpful and appreciated. Question: Is the I-129f 2024 updated version different from your version? Cause I was filling out the form, and mine page ended up at 12 instead of 13 pages. Please clarify. Thank you
I was wondering why you chose to do the K1 visa as opposed to the Marriage Visa? I've heard conflicting reports that getting married first is somehow easier.... just wondering if that was true. I know it's specific to the couple but I just wanted to get your take on the benefits of deciding to go with the K1 as opposed to getting married first...
We chose the K1 for many reasons... you may need stronger evidence of your relationship with getting married such as joint accounts, proof of living together etc. But we can create a video on this if a lot of people are wondering if the K1 or getting married is a better option :)
@@SurajandYasmin Ok, interesting. Thank you for the reply. Yeah the I-129F vs I-130 is a hot topic as I see a lot of people talking about it. I've gone back and forth between the 2 but it seems like the fiancé visa is the more direct path. Thank you for the video as I'm currently using your video as a guide to fill out my I-129F. Big UPs!!!
My fiancee does speak a foreign language and we'll need to fill out the address portion in her foreign language. Do I need an official interpreter to fill it out or can I use any bilingual friend we have?
I haven't finished watching this video. Just looking at this form, I got extremely overwhelmed. And your breakdown is so helpful. I appreciate it so much. So far, I just have one question. What if I didn't know when I moved in or out of a place I don't live in as well as my job history. I can only get the date from my current job and current address but not my past jobs
Thanks for all the info! I had 2 small questions: For the employment sections (both petitioner and beneficiary I suppose), is the address and name of the company's HQ/what shows up on your W-2, or would it just be the name of the store and physical address of where you actually worked? and at the end for the Question 54 additional information, what is "A-number" meant to be? Thanks! :D
Your video really saved me from having to think for hours because I couldn't figure it out! Thank you very much. As you know, some boxes do not allow you to type in text. In that case, can I use the ”add text” function to write the text? like "text box". I'm worried about making mistakes when writing in black ink.
@@SurajandYasmin Thank you very much for your immediate response! I have a 19 year old daughter with downsyndrome, so need to file this I-129 as soon as possible, so your immediate help clarified what I was wondering.
Something seems to be wrong with the Unlocked Version of the I-129F Form. It keeps disappearing when opened. Perhaps a malware somehow got introduced to it when the unlocking took place. Anyway, really great content! Love how thorough it is! Great job!

Thank you so much for this information, I’m currently in process of filing out the form. And I have couple of questions to ask you if you don’t mind? Question 1 , my father is deceased so what do I put there? 2. My fiancé currently lived in Europe and he’s going back to our home country soon, I’m confused as to what to put for the physical address.. I’m going to send to the paper work to the American embassy in our country.
I have a question for employment, do you have to be currently employed at the time of filing the I-129F? Or just prove that you made above the poverty line for the past year or 3 years?
Hey, thx you, I hope your having a good day so I’m in the begin stage of everything. Now I have met my fiancé in person in 2023, and its time for us to do the I-129 from but the online Application/ forms does not have the scanner bar at the bottom. And the only updated version they have is the 02/28/2028 Version
Hi thanks for patiently walking us through the I-129F application. I've a question regarding the IMB bit. I met my fiance through a dating app. I wanted to clarify that we won't be needing proof to support an IMBRA waiver in the k1 visa packet, yeah? I'd be very grateful for your response. Thanks
Nope you won't. But you can just highlight that you met through a dating app and mention which one. And if you have screenshots, you can include those too :)
First I want to send you a big thanks for the time and efforts you spent. I do have a question. Do I have to send an extra letter to describe in details how I met my fiancé and what we did since first met till i submitted my petition Or only the answer of question 54 is enough with the way you explained it? Thank you again
Thank you for watching! You need to submit details of your proof of meeting.. It doesn't need to be anything long, but the more evidence and details you can provide, the better! You can include the date, place, and circumstances of your meeting. I highly recommend adding supporting evidence such as photos, copies of travel documents etc.
Hi. You are great at explaining everything here!. Could you please let me know what documents or records I need to obtain before hand to save time? I mean before submitting this first document. Thanks!
What if you have a deceased parent? What information do you provide? Do you put the name then (deceased)? You are a wonderful help. Thank you in advance.
Hi! Yes you can just write 'Deceased' in all the fields relating to the parents info. If you have a death certificate you could also include that too.. although I'm not sure if it would even be necessary.
Would you happen to know what to input for a deceased parent? Where the parent resides I entered their resting location. Thank you so much for your video. I am close to fininshing assembling my packet because of your effort. Thank you :)
You can just write 'DECEASED' in the field asking your parents info and place of residence. If you have their death certificate you can also include that should you wish too. Good luck assembling everything together! : )
These videos are super helpful, I've just ran into some problems. When I download the unlocked pdf. there are still some areas I cant fill out like the space where you write "present". I was curious if you know a way around that or should I just hand write it?
Good tutorial video, I have a question on Citizenship Information, I was naturalized 2001 and lost my certificate of naturalization, can I use my current Valid US passport as proof of citizenship?
I don’t want to pay so much money to an attorney to file for me, I hope this video is a good guide to help process my form quickly and accurately. How long does it take to get approved?
Hello, for the additional information portion, does USCIS want us to date and sign every single page, including every supporting document? For example, Proof of Relationship has a robust amount of supporting documents, is the expectation to sign and date every single sheet? Thank you.
Great video. I have a quick question-- I'm a recent graduate and I'm beginning my new job in August, as that's when the contract begins. I'm filling out this form now, but it's pertinent for me to have this info to show I can meet the minimum income. Should I put my new job and position as my "current job" with the starting date of August? I can provide a proof of a contract when I submit this form. Thanks!
This video is extremely helpful. I appreciate that you put this together. It's very clear and thorough. As I watched the video, I filled out my app and a couple of questions came up... 1. If I lived abroad for a couple of years and my permanent U.S residence remained the same, should I indicate the date from & date to for the permanent U.S residence on a rolling/overlapping basis, and input my residences from when I lived aborad? In other words, should I reflect the overlap of my perm res or indicate the exact time physically living in each residence? Also, upon returning from abroad, I stayed at my permanent residence for only a few months before moving to my new U.S residence... what's the best, clearest, and seamless way to indicate these residences without having to fill out too many part 8s? Or would it be safer to fill out as many part 8s as necessary? 2. Is it totally necessary to indicate all previous employers? For example, if I had a random retail position for only 4 months, should I indicate that? Thank you, thank you. I'm looking forward to moving onto creating the packet!
1. You should be as specific as you can and pretty much include every residence. You can use as many part 8 pages as you wish to. 2. I believe it was all employers in the past 5 years. But yes, I would include every employer that you've had within the last 5 years Hope that helps : )
For the Form I-129F Additional Information: Page 8, Part 2, Question 54 - What is & Where is the A- Number ? Also in the area that states first & last name is that petitioner name ? Thank you for sharing
Your video was very helpful and I still have a question, if I have 10 jobs in my employment history over the last 5 years, should I fill them out in minute detail?
I would fill out all 10 jobs in the format displayed.. but just print out multiple pages of the additional information page as I'm sure you'll need quite a few boxes

Very useful. Thank you.
What does 38 d mean? Also, so since your fiance did not have any kids, did you leave 43. with no check marks? Thank you, love your videos.
Hello, and thank you so much for your help. These were very much much helpful and appreciated. Question: Is the I-129f 2024 updated version different from your version? Cause I was filling out the form, and mine page ended up at 12 instead of 13 pages. Please clarify. Thank you
Yes the new edition is 12 pages long but the content is still the same. They just removed 1 or 2 questions on the up to date form
Big UPs!!!
In some boxes you are not able to put N/A, is there anyway you can get around that ?? Im using the unlocked version as well.
Once you print out the form, you can fill out the boxes by hand and write N/A
My fiancee does speak a foreign language and we'll need to fill out the address portion in her foreign language. Do I need an official interpreter to fill it out or can I use any bilingual friend we have?
So if your fiancé is currently pregnant with your child what do you put in the section where it asks if your beneficiary has kids ?
Very well said perfect video thank you really appreciated ❤
You are so welcome 🫶🏻
I haven't finished watching this video. Just looking at this form, I got extremely overwhelmed. And your breakdown is so helpful. I appreciate it so much. So far, I just have one question. What if I didn't know when I moved in or out of a place I don't live in as well as my job history. I can only get the date from my current job and current address but not my past jobs
Thank you so much! You can just write estimated dates
This is very helpful ❤❤❤
Thank you 😊 💓
You're welcome 😊
thanks, a great info
Thanks for all the info!
I had 2 small questions: For the employment sections (both petitioner and beneficiary I suppose), is the address and name of the company's HQ/what shows up on your W-2, or would it just be the name of the store and physical address of where you actually worked?
and at the end for the Question 54 additional information, what is "A-number" meant to be?
Thanks! :D
I would put the address written on the W2.
The A number is if the petitioner has one... ie they were not born a US citizen.
Also, as Letter of Intent to Marry, it needs to be written by both of you?
Your video really saved me from having to think for hours because I couldn't figure it out! Thank you very much. As you know, some boxes do not allow you to type in text. In that case, can I use the ”add text” function to write the text? like "text box". I'm worried about making mistakes when writing in black ink.
You can. Just write it neatly inside the field
Great job!
Here's a link to the form... you can save it once downloaded...

If you have any issues.. I'd suggest maybe using the original form from the USCIS website just to be safe :)
@@SurajandYasmin , thanks! Found the culprit. Some kind of encryption. Your form is awesome!
1. You would write 'Deceased' in the field.
2. You would put your home country address - where your fiancé will be living
@@SurajandYasmin Thank you so much.
The new one doesn't have a barcode :)
Hello thanks you that was very helpful to me and my fiance I appreciate it thank you again
I'm so glad it helped!! Wishing you both lots of luck on your journey!
@@SurajandYasmin awesome! Thank you so much!!
Form I-129F Additional Information needs to be written only by the petitioner or both of you?
Hi. You are great at explaining everything here!. Could you please let me know what documents or records I need to obtain before hand to save time? I mean before submitting this first document. Thanks!
Sure! I'll make a video on how we assembled our K1 Visa Packet
I would be interested in this as well!
tanks
Great video. Do you know how far back on where you lived they actually need?
Yes I believe it was information for the last 5 years
Thank you so much for uploading this video, this is very helpful.
I just want to ask what if the petitioner has 2 jobs (US ARMY and a driver) ?
You're welcome :) You can fill out the 2nd job on the additional information page of the form :)
@@SurajandYasmin thanks for the response.
These videos are super helpful, I've just ran into some problems. When I download the unlocked pdf. there are still some areas I cant fill out like the space where you write "present". I was curious if you know a way around that or should I just hand write it?
Yes I would just print out what you've typed in and fill out the rest by hand :)
Thank you.
Nope you do not need to. Just the part on the form where a signature is required.
We just decided to sign a couple of other pages
@S.Y_K1VisaJourney thank you for getting back to me so quickly for both my questions.
do you suggest doing it in all capital letters like in the video? i cant seem to find if they have a preference anywhere
Capital letters just makes it more legible to read for whoever is reading it :)
Thanks!
You can add your job now and the contract.. but it's not until later with the I-134 form until you have to prove financial support
@@SurajandYasmin Thank you very much!
Thanks so much
This video is extremely helpful.
But yes, I would include every employer that you've had within the last 5 years
Hope that helps : )
THANK YOU SO MUCH APPRECIATE YOUR TIME
You're so welcome! 😊
Thank you
For the Form I-129F Additional Information: Page 8, Part 2, Question 54 - What is & Where is the A- Number ? Also in the area that states first & last name is that petitioner name ? Thank you for sharing
Yes it's the petitioner info. If you're a US born citizen you won't have an A number
