I think it is important to note about wall dashing (3:15) that if you flip directly to the side (without any forward input) you don't gain any forward speed with your flip because all of the momentum you gained using your flip is sideways towards the wall and thus stopped completely by landing on the wall. Instead you should give a diagonal input (e.g. front left) to both flip back towards the wall and gain forward speed. There also is an alternative way to do a wall dash: Giving a forward input and using directional air roll towards the wall when using your flip which results in your car flipping diagonally forward towards the wall (i.e. landing on the wall and gaining forward speed). When doing this variant you don't have to turn down the wall before the wall dash to correct for the turn up the wall during the wall dash because there is no turn up the wall that you would have to counter. I would suggest experimenting yourself in freeplay and additionally looking up other tutorials about this mechanic if you struggle understanding it. Other than that, great video @Virge! Nice to have you back. Good luck with the coaching program

Wow, that was incredible how well this was done! You explained everything so well! I’ve gained as much knowledge from this one video as if I were to watch all the other recovery videos I’ve watched, well done! Have a blessed day man!!
1:34 if you watch pro gameplay like rw9 for example you’ll see he also zap dashes from the curve when coming out of the goal which can give him more speed even quicker to recover and get back or make another save
Virge I've been learning from your vids for years. Thank you for all the content. I've even qued against you a few times! Dude you don't know how refreshing it is to hear someone else admit they're too old to press the jump button fast enough to wall dash loll. Def I'll be checking out the links
There is so much potential to all those wall set ups, I believe they are still way underdeveloped because there is a lot of flexibility in how you can flip onto the wall and in when you touch the ball.
Is there a video somewhere that explains more in depth how to do the first one ? (the wall preflip) ? Like what do you mean at 0:56 when you say "with a flip cancel" ? does it mean : - the contact with the wall will cancel the flip ? - I have to do a flip cancel like in a speedflip where I put the joystick down from the direction of the flip (if it was top right for the flip, put it bottom right) ? - I have to put the joystick in the direction opposite to the flip ?
I think the 1st one has been named the MENA flip by the community as it originated or gained populariy from MENA 1s players using it as a celebration after a goal explosion
It’s an option in your garage when you customize your car. It’s towards the end on the right of the menu when you’re selecting which part of the car you want to customize :)
Great video great coaching as much as I love rocket league Psyonix destroyed the game when they decided to give out season rewards as participation trophies by adding literally every playlist to ranked, former Champ2 Hopped on this week for the first time in 2 years Still can't believe Psyonix decided to leave the demo's broken and inconsistent, And now you can turn off seeing player quick chats altogether🤦🏽 soo soft
Finally the zen of coaching posted
This is the first comment I saw. Immediately subscribed 😂
The is the best compliment I’ve ever received 🙌🏼😭

Thank you for addressing the #1 request from everyone regarding training packs: How to execute each shot!

Thanks for telling me how to do that preflip onto the wall!!! I've been trying to work out how to do it for ages but I couldn't figure out the name
Good and quick to point thanks
Your thumbnails got better!

Like what do you mean at 0:56 when you say "with a flip cancel" ?
does it mean :
- the contact with the wall will cancel the flip ?
- I have to do a flip cancel like in a speedflip where I put the joystick down from the direction of the flip (if it was top right for the flip, put it bottom right) ?
- I have to put the joystick in the direction opposite to the flip ?
like speedflip
Do a cancel on your joystick. So when you flip, pull down

I’ve heard it called the MENA flip but wasn’t sure if that was the agreed upon name or not haha
@@Virge well if u say it enough it catches on
🔥🔥
Ain't gonna lie dude had the best intro
BIG BRAIN GANG
OG
for walldashing u can just hold ur joystick forward rather then all that extra left and right
Can we call that 1st one a "wall cancel"?
The brain is back 🧠
Yay
NOBODY explains shit like Virge does 👍
Isn't the first one called the Mawkzy recovery? I'm sure it was coined after him but I could be wrong. Great video regardless!
Yooo I was thinking of that too after watching your video lol
Btw your videos are insane
@@Hatred_73 appreciate the love!
Anyone tell how to get goal explosion different than basic

@@Virge there's only one goal explosion :(
@@Virge Well how many goal explosion you have?
You have to own them to use them! 😁
I didn't Realise I have been doing this (except the wall dash and zap dash) by accident and think to myself damn am so fast🤣🤣🤣
