Its crazy how many of these mechanics are popping up bc of Zen alone. Before Zen nobody was expexting constant psychos. He took moves that seemed inconsistent and made them consistent which is what made him one of the best players and now everyone else is following.
No i dont mean Dark. Dark was doing pogos mostly in 1v1s. Zen was the one really showing off these abilities in RLCS levels proving them to be reliable even on the pro scene. Dark is known for his pogos and freestyles but i wouldn't say hes the reason they became popular for pros and tbh i havent seen Dark play in big tournaments against pro level players like Zen has.

Very good collection of mechanics, agree on all of them. I'd say that the recently discovered Luther flick will also become the meta once pros realise how versitile and useful it is. Being able to pinch a rolling ball to over 110kph+ consistently while also giving it a noticable change in direction is very powerful as well as unexpected. I hope there will be a pro that learns to do it consistently :)
8:27 Crazy recovery idea, i know this is after a goal explosion, but as he gets sent back to the wall instead of trying to turn your car around to get back to your net, you chain dash while going backwards. I wonder it thats possible, ive never seen anyone do it, or even try it
I always love this videos because its super interesting, but what's funny is all of these mechs have been used by mechs for freestylers for years. Pros really need to start looking at freestylers for new metas because they come up with such useful mehcs.

Always enjoyed this content! My defense is insane because I see and know when my opponents are going for these plays on me! Hard for me to learn thos wall dashes and certain mechanical plays. But knowing what other people can do to you is clutch for perfect counters
Those pogos with the ball on top have been done by the freestyling Community for quite some time now, they called them Plan B, while a pogo on its own is/was just done without the ball. I think its generally impressive to see mechanics that have been used by freestylers for years, are now used in way faster pro lobbys. Same thing for ceiling pinch doubles, sidewalls and psychos.
This is honestly a really, really amazing series of videos! I love them all! If nothing else, it creates a catalog of the most notable mechanics that are up and coming, but it's so much more than that. These videos are really works of art with how much detail and work that goes into them. I'm a stickler for details, and these videos go into a perfect amount of detail. And while it is going into these details, they're your works of art. The added flair you add on to the video through editing, camera angles, and pacing is just top notch! I think this is your best one yet! P.S. I know I'm generally quite critical of posts, videos, and content in general, and I don't mean to come off as abrasive. But, leaving that alone, you deserve a lot of praise for what you do! You contribute so much to the community positively.
One thing i highly dislike is people saying a car bounce under the ball is a pogo while it isn’t. A pogo is just a car bounce, if you bounce under the ball to pop it it’s called a plan B
I'm a bit disappointed that you don't show some clips of Mawkzy, because I think he is the best with ceiling setup or dash combo, he is a good exemple. Great video
7:50 "it somehow increases speed" The speed of the ball is influenced by the vector of contact you make with the ball. The vector is a line that connects the center of gravity of the car and the point where the ball touches the hitbox. The longer this vector is, the stronger the force applied to the ball. Not only that, you're applying a vector in the same direction (roughly) that the ball is already going towards, which in itself is a big factor
@@diegomastro5681 What I explained are NOT real physics. The direction of a rebound force in the real world is not influenced by a center of gravity, but rather the angle of first contact (which gets mirrored). What I explained is why in RL the ball behaves differently if you touch it with the hood or headlights of the car - totally different speeds and directions. This wouldn't happen in real life. But I would love to know why you say I am wrong.

so cool seeing techniques i learned like.. 6 years ago as a Champ player and such now be mastered to the point of being relevant in pro play. I used to LOVE goign for Skims because they were so rarely used and seen that they were never expected.
I have something to say, some pogos are actually a mechanics called plan b, a plan b is basically a pogo but u pogo when the balls on top of the car, this can be used offensively to go in the net,or to continue a play or a freestyle shot when u need a recorvery.
Skims get so much power because of the way RL fudges physics; the greater the difference in velocity between the car and the ball the harder the ball will be hit. This makes things like volleys and powershots feel really good, but enter these skims. The ball and the car are going in opposite directions so the difference in velocity is huge, resulting is a ridiculously fast shot. Rocket Science has a video on it from way back when I think.
Dark also is using a specific "dash" move to sort of powerslide cut but with a unexpected increase of speed. Commonly used to challenge faster then expected.
freestylers have been doing like psychos and sidewalls for years already so thats really cool to finally see those moves at pro level and being really useful

Wayton, I have discovered a new way to use a mechanic. If you speed flip into a controlled flick, and zap dash up to hit the ball with power, you can beat two defenders with little to no boost. I hope you can try this out, thank you for your time if you have read this. Keep up the good work 👍
I'm so glad to see pogos being implemented. I learned pogos from busting my ass against the ground and wall and I kept it in my arsenal. Just seeing this up here feels dope.
I can only pogo consistently on the spoiler, I can’t grasp the idea of hitting the front end. I also feel like the spoiler makes more sense so you can boost back up towards the ceiling, With the front you have to flip your car back upwards again to get back up.
Commenting before watching but I feel like the camera stick is gonna become more used. In a lot of pro play you cant really see if your opponent is challenging you, and checking to see if they do with the stick while executing more complicated mechs or 50s is a skill that I feel like could become useful with my opinion as a c2
It's called a MENA flip and it's a diagonal flip cancel like a speed flip. U just air roll like ur going for an air roll shot and then diagonal flip cancel

You miss d by far the biggest one, one that so far has been done almost 10 times in EVERY match: the air dribble bump. In ones this has been done for ages, but this season, whenever someone does an air dribble, they will often leave the ball mid air and try to bump the second man mid air. While the ball is free and in the air, their own second man will go for the shot. This works so well because the third man will always wait for the challenge of the second man, but because the second man is taken out, the third man is almost never prepared for someone else suddenly taking the shot.
