In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.
Thanks heaps mate I have 2 Hooker dory’s and have 1 in each And still learning as I’m not computer savvy at all you have been a massive help Will keep practicing thanks heaps
just got a Garmin 95sv, Can't wait to fit this unit to the boat. the saying . Practice makes perfect. I'm setting my unit up on the table get some practice in.
I wonder if the new gt56 transducer is going to change the game at all. The GPS 943xsv provides higher resolution screen at a lower price, yet it can utilize the gt56 and is compatible with livescope. Dnt thoughts?
When you made a comment about the processing speed, you didn't specify whether it was a positive or negative observation, just that it was noticeable... Can you elaborate please. Interested to know how the processor stacks up.
Thanks for the video. Got the uhd 95 with gt54 after watching this, bcf had a ripper deal. Question, how have you rigged this to operate off the boat? 12v converter? Want to play around with the unit at home (am aware of ActiveCaptain). Thanks!!
Hey mate. I ordered a second harness and found a 240-12v power supply to suit. Oh problem is you can't set up sonar unless the transducer is plugged in.
at 48:30 you mention the scroll back feature to pinpoint a show on the echo sounder and place a mark on it. Is this only available if you're recording or is it a standard feature of the unit? Does it work with traditional sonar?
Hi I try to zoom my fishing charts but it's dozen work just shows the whole yellow screen looks like does not download can you please help with that thank[s
Had to throw my brand new echomap 75cv uhd back at garmin, the heads under the water where i fish were too far out in fact 1300ft from were they should have been, back to my echomap 70s which is bang on.
Question if you don't mind., is there a way to add or change different information such as time, GPS speed p, water temp etc to a chart screen or sonar screen
Hello, just wondering, I have a new pontoon on order (my first boat) and the 95sv is being installed per dealer recommendation. Lake Nippising in Ontario is huge but shallow (average 15 ft) and rocky in various places. Will this unit as a depth finder "look ahead" and let me know danger is close?

love to see a vid this in-depth about the gpsmap series of sounders
Might sound a stupid question, but is there a battery/power status symbol on the screen?
On the chart screen can you set the depth in the top left the same as the sonar screen?
Hi / great video - question should I leave the transducer selector to auto or should it be set at 95sv uhd ?? Or maybe I’m not getting it - thanks !!

You need to use a pencil on the touch screen, so we can see the screen past your ham hands!
Hi love your work,. Can you have chart on with the info on same page for bearing, ETA, distance and so on as my Lowrance had.
Best review and comparison. thanks
