Wtf I just found out this guy plays in Infant Annihilator, Black Tongue and Rings of Saturn. What the fuck?! I feel stupid and ignorant, but amazed above all. Now I get it , Lugal Ki En is about Aaron Kitcher visiting Earth
+Janos Dm I dunno about that speed consistently but i do know For Decapitation Fornication he's hit 20 noted a second for the double bass for a few parts.
+Janos Dm the latest video on this channel is 320bpm by Aaron that is at a constant, but he can stab about 350bpm for a fraction of a second at a time.
It's not about bpm bro... Im not a drummer and I can play 350bpm no problem....just play double whole notes...if hes playing 32nd notes in 350bpm then that is impressive...or in other words a better measure is how many notes per second
***** It's an electric kit that's being run into a DAW with superior drummer. Besides, half the people bitching about triggers have no idea what triggers are.
wow, Aaron Kitcher is a badass. it doesn't matter that he's on an electric kit, there is still no denying that this man has talent. anyone who watches this should feel honored to see someone handle a song like this so effortlessly
I notice if you watch his feet at 1:33 he kept playing double bass even though in the audio the double bass stopped for like a second, and also the fast double bass parts in the video he looked more like he was playing 16th note triplets instead of 16th notes single strokes, and he was also getting a pretty high beater swing at 297 bpm which is extremely hard to almost impossible at that speed. just to let you guys know I'm not hating on Aaron, he's a huge inspiration and i do believe he can play that fast. but in my opinion the audio you hear are programed drums so that it sounds like he's playing really tight
@@SeanyKrabs the reasonw hy he is watching the camera most of the time is, first take the camera did not record but the performance was better. so he took the audio together with the video of the second take.
1:33 that looks stop for me of course the pedal are still moves after you stop, but it's not hit the bass how can he show cheat drumming for competition?
+centralscrutinizer66 Lol the trigger debate seems useless for people now, its been posted about 3 years ago and he allready won the competition xD I still want to know what drum set is he using it sounds so good .-.
Yeah, I know this is old footage, but what competition? fastest double kick? He may be using a Roland kit, I'm guessing. I don't know much about the guy other than hearing his band, that....to...me sounds like every other death core band. He may be playing jazz by this point, I don't follow.
True, but a drummer that good should be thinking about diversifying if they're planning on doing it for the long haul. Dave Lombardo is the model I'm half referring to. Also Mick Harris from Napalm Death who went on to do a projects involving Bootsy Collins and now does ambient last time I checked.
Lol, had a go on my drums for the first time in about 4 years after watching some of Aarons vids. Know now why i don't play any more. Such skill, keep up the astonishing work Mr. K
Triggers don't make anyone play more "accurately" or evenly. Simply what they do is act like a microphone except they react when they sense vibration, once the vibration is picked up, it is sent to the drum module for whatever sound you're putting out of it. The only thing that can make anyone play more accurate is practice. Not triggers, I wish people who thought the same way about triggers as you do got behind a triggered kit and experienced what it's like, same shit as playing normal drums, just amplified with triggers.
Dude, look at my picture, what am i playing? A triggered kit. I have a Roland TD-9. Everybody was making trigger comments and i said "trigger OR NOT this is clean and accurate", which it is, triggered OR NOT. I don't even know what you're going on about, I mean no shit dude tell me more i've only played for 40 years.
he's very disciplined on his techniques, and i'll be the first to admit that. quite honestly though, this does nothing for me. and it's not just because of his drumming, it's the music entirely.
wow, i was waiting the whole competition for you to enter, and i'm glad you didn't disappoint. absolutely incredible, you're a fucking sick drummer man
People only think Arron is the best drummer in the world just because of his ridicolous speed. Speed doesn't mean jack shit my friend. I bet you Arron couldn't play a Foo fighters or Dream theatre track.
Niko Aguilera Dream theater, probably not, that shit's pretty fucking complex. But Foo Fighters...? Lol may as well have said Metallica, it's not like their drums are special in any way at all.
I agree with you there bro!!! His double bass drumming is beyond anything I have ever witnessed! I am a drummer myself but this is freakish right here!
Triggers are used on ACOUSTIC kick pads to make the sound of each hit more even and louder/quieter at the users' discretion. They have no effect on speed, and would do nothing to and (probably not even clip onto) an electric kit.
Infant Annihilator even stated that the only reason why they never went live was because Arron couldn't always be drumming that fast. It literally kills his legs. Which is why they stuck with being an internet band. Also they're getting back together.
Not at all. If that would have been the case, with how much attention and love the band got from fans, they would have traveled to America or had Dan travel to the UK. Regardless, they're making new music. So yeah.
Triggers are basically amps for drums. They make sounds that are acoustically impossible. The purpose of triggers is to make each stroke on the drum the same volume no matter the power of the actual stroke. Let me explain it this way: the faster you go on the pedals, the less power you're putting into them, that happens naturally. So to play at 300 and up at 16th notes, you're gonna need a shit ton of speed, thus less power. Acoustically (mind you, some electric kits come triggered by default) the sound you're gonna get will be far too quiet to hear because there is literally no power. Add to the fact that Kitcher uses direct drive pedals, that's literally an auditory impossibility. Triggers make the strokes that would be too quiet, louder so that they sound powerful. Personally, I dislike triggers, but it doesn't mean the one using them doesn't have skill. His hands are still insane.
he is in pain while he is drumming, he goes so fast that his legs, feet, ankles, shins, arms and wrists are in pain. so he doesnt stop and he goes as fast as he can
Guillaume Grandadam Triggers don't make you play faster, they make the volume level more "equal" and allow the sound of each hit to be heard more clearly. People shit on triggers a lot but really they're pretty hard to play with since if you miss a hit or put an extra in, EVERYBODY will hear it. If anything, the bounce from the E-Kit would make more difference than the triggers.
I noticed towards the end (after 3:20) that your left pedal was moving around :)) You should get a drum mat, if you don't have one already. That's some sick drumming! Keep it brutal! \m/
its called put the beaters as close to the head as possibly then shake your feet. its kinda cheap and would suck on a acoustic set. but for the slower parts he uses heal up/floating
holy shit dude this is amazing. I always have trouble playing on electric kits and can never get anything to sound as tight as i want it (then again alot of the time i have trouble on my acoustic kit) but still, this is intense!!
2:36 takesa some serious skill and i think he uses alot of double kicks which is why u dont see him using his knees as much but im no expert and yea he uses triggers but who fuckin cares triggers just make it sound more even

x2
I liked before shit like pop and that crap, but thanks to black veil brides that was the first band i knew, i found the real music

Yup
It's not quantised. All I've changed is the velocity in some parts because my kit is fucked
"Changed the velocity" lol

Aaron was called to make druemz for Lugal Ki En, no more, no less. But it still turned out amazing and almost felt like a collab between RoS and IA
Mister Sister Fister, ROS, Infant Annihilator, and Black Tongue
