After watching your videos and researching Orthodoxy lately, I decided today to go to my first Divine Liturgy and I was so profoundly blown away by its beauty.

    are icons and eschatology related?

  • @annca

Icons are Eschatological and cosmic 🤦🏻‍♀. At this point, it's just silly. Some people really take stupidity to another level. Icons are images painted and carved by people that may represent a Biblical character or a Biblical passage, nothing more.

You genuinely have zero clue what you’re talking about. Iconography is a window into heaven, every person here on earth is an Icon of God, through each other we are supposed to see Christ and through Christ we see the image of the Father. Study more before making incredibly ignorant statements

@@ambientapathy777 The only window to heaven is through Jesus Christ and that's it. No one can be saved by icons, relics, mortal men, but only by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in the heart. You should read and study more because you are a little lost and confused because nowhere in the Bible does it say what you are talking about. People are so indoctrinated by the Church with distorted information to the point where people are missing the real and true essence of Christianity and salvation.

And? Do you suppose biblical passages and characters are arbitrary and don’t participate in a cosmic and eschatological pattern ?

All these icons, relics, etc point to Christ. You are blind to see it because you’re indoctrinated with man made gnostic protestant doctrine:

@@anncayou have been mislead by Protestant theological error and it greatly Shows, yes imitation of Christ and baptism into His One True Holy Apostolic and Orthodox Church is the only path to salvation, however he has given us Holy tradition which points us to Him and in fact the Bible is only one facet of that holy tradition. You are going against 2000 years of Christianity including St. Clement of Rome and St. Polycarp who were direct disciples of Saints Peter, Paul, and John. Also newsflash the very concept I just gave to you is extremely biblical or do you deny Christ is the image of the Father?
