    Oh,great and wonderful heart and soul of Serafim Rose..we,Serbians adore you; great exemplar you are,of how every soul is called by Lord,to set straight curves of life thru Orthodoxy,the only right way...painful,hard,but the only way.Through life of Serafim,we see how man throws false life values and answer the call of God.For us,Serbian Orthodox believers,he is great example of how western man can understand Orthodoxy ways...the most important is that Serafim saw and tried to understand many "religions"....untill he found the only Church-Orthodox Church,which stands for thousands of years and will last until the last Liturgia...God shows us that Orthodoxy is the only way by inside bless of Holy Spirit,and by outer sights-unrotted bodies of Saints,Holy Oil-"Miro"...
    Oh our dear Serafim,pray the Lord for our sinned souls!

    As a faithful disciple of St Herman, you flowered as spiritual rose in Platina, and there thou didst crucify thy flesh with its lusts and passions through ascetic struggle. Wherefore thou hast become the firstborn American saint- an inspiration and guiding star to American Orthodoxy- wherefore we sinners cry out to thee, SAVE US BY THY PRAYERS, O SERAPHIM OUR HOLY FATHER!

    As a Catholic I admire him as one of the greatest Saints from Orthodox Church! His writtings are so full of wisdom and it's for sure that he had Holy Spirit on him who guided him to Holy Orthodox Faith. Though Catholics consider that Outside the Catholic Church there's no Salvation, I'm not against it; but in fact I embrace orthodoxy as a religion who worship the God of Living! Christ Jesus! Who conquered Death!!!

      What do you mean?

    • @peterberesi1421
      @peterberesi1421 2 роки тому +1

      @@jarrilaurila the first and most important sacrament is the baptism. Rose was never baptized, so his priesthood was not true (or not God related). Second, even if he was baptised, he was not alowed to be a priest, because he was a homosexual, so his priesthood could not be blessed by God . It is clear that he was just a wolf wearing sheepskin. Same as origen, in his teachings he looks very orthodox, but not for an orthodox. There is a very subtle poison in all his teachings and the most obvious consequences is the fanatism that can be seen to almost all his disciples. An Orthodox can never be a fanatic, and an Orthodox knows that he is heading to God. A true Orthodox priest will never under any circumstances alow or create a reason to be worshipped by his spiritual children or anybody and if he will see that, he will quickly send them to another priest. His duty is to lead them to God. What happened with rose and podmosanski over there is NOT orthodoxy but deceiving and false orthodoxy. They used the image of Saint John Maximovici to present themselves like blesed by a Saint, like many other heretics. It is just like the devil, that can come, looking like an angel but if you are paying attention, you will realise shortly is a deceiver. It is hard in the English speaking world to realise that, bacause you don't even have a properly translated Bible. If you will do some research, will see that all versions (and there is a huge number) were biased translations. Not even one is translated to show the truth, starting with king james version. I've heard that the Orthodox Church of Greece is working for the last few yers on one. You should check everything you are reading for author (to be a true Saint and old ones are the ones that are the light of the Church) the translation to be made under the blessing of the Canonical Church (and keep in mind that there in only one related to a country/nationality. And the authors to have among the at least a Priest or a theologian that is not an ecumenist (so to make shure that the translation is not influenced by any new currents) . You don't need much to read to get to Heaven. If you find a good genuine book, it usually take years to understand everything that is in that wisdom that the Saint left to us in that book. Also, a good thing is to try to find people that have similar genuine and sincere aspirations like you. When you will start talking about God and faith, you will see the benefits. I pray that God, for the prayers of the Holly Virgin Mary and all His Saints, will open your (and everyones who is sincerely and selflessly looking truth) eyes and hart to see the truth and protect you from deception.

      @@peterberesi1421 I think you spill the banks of tempered criticism into polemical judgment. Fr. Seraphim, apparently, is too Orthodox and yet not Orthodox enough for you. You then go off on a tangent about Biblical translations, saying "you don't need much to read to get to Heaven". I question your knowledge concerning Orthodoxy itself and the liturgy, as you should know that we don't need to even know how to read a single word "to get to Heaven".
      Lord, have mercy.
