One must be insanely arrogant to suggest knowing something of a God. It is by boldness, Moses became the world's worst navigator, by having one foot in some fantasyland. There is a fine line between fishing & standing on the shore, looking like an idiot. Fail to get the Jews to buy it for 2000 years & they should know who their Messiah is. Jesus is a fake, to immortalize the war against the Jews. Jesus Christ is crucified for all time in literature & the subjects of Rome are illiterate. Freud wrote, "The antidote to Christianity is literacy" & the joke is in the scriptures. "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:" Galatians 3:13 An improvement on your God & faith; would outlaw indoctrination & abuse of the vocabulary of fiction on children.
I have a question can you make a video summarizing the tradition of the church from beginning to end all the way unto the non denominqtional concerts and how its weird how they are so modern
the start clcaim aboutr "you are gods" , is not preserved only in the eastern orthodox... if u dont have those in ur bible in america... your bible is literally rewritten and church is corrupt, wich i dont even doubt... americans worship lucifer, not jesus... have you watched grammy awards or anythign hollywood, disney lately ? thjey literally have woke apologetic cartoons how lucifer is actually the victim and the good guy lol... and propbaly transsexual :DD im not kidding... look it up... i dont remember the cartoon name tho.... ... about teaching as being gods... God Is Love “He who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” (1 John 4:16) You Are God “Is it not written in your Law, “I have said ‘you are gods’”?” (John 10:34) God Is Within You “The Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21) Someone has explained pretty well the concept of christianity and the ideology how its not t hat far from actual observable nature and science ... since its art literature... most people are not that intelligent to interpret the bible even... and everyone sees their own meaning in it.... www.wakingtimes.com/god-true-teachings-jesus/
As a former atheist, Orthodoxy was the only type of Christianity that addressed issues I had with western churches. Glory to God for all things. Christ is Risen! ☦️
Orthodoxy solved my issues with "Christianity" (Catholicism and Protestantism), and having done that, also opened my mind to the sorts of things that convinced me that God existed. Things the rational mind and tongue cannot easily express, or argue, to explain to others why I now believe, but didn't in the past. I've had some experiences since that were not delusions, or prelest. One syllable spoken by the Holy Spirit into the depths of your being changes everything. My tongue cannot confess it so that others may believe by my testimony alone. Glory be to The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Now, and ever, and unto the ages of ages! Amen!
It is quite difficult for me to understand such a deeply complex topic. I will be watching this over again and again. I am newly a catechumen, pray for me.

I am a German protestant and I was able to visit Athos last May shortly after the Orthodox Eastern. A very wise monk gave me a German translation of Theosis and it opened my eyes to a lot a of things. Athos is probably the most beautiful place I have ever been. So much power and peace at the same time. I am thinking about getting baptised again when I will visit the holy mountain again. Christos Anesti!!
If you were baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and there weren’t any sect-specific caveats that are incompatible, I don’t know why you’d need to get rebaptized. Doing so in God’s name specifically is because it is the Lord that confers baptism unto us, not the person baptizing. They are just a mediator, and any sin they commit has no bearing on your baptism. If anyone would tell you differently, I’d be wary of their views. It’s why I do not follow the Orthodox Church, frankly, I cannot get a coherent doctrine from them, as it’s all just generalizations, due to how decentralized it is.

I’m not even a Christian, but as an outsider, it is clear to me that orthodoxy achieves the true meaning of Christ’s words as a philosophy. Though I believe in different things, the Orthodox Church has preserved and honored the word of Christ in a way that I cannot help but respect.
You seem like a really decent humble person. Please forgive me but l pray one day you will come to Orthodoxy. May God's blessings find you with joy and happiness.
Yeah, and Russian Orthodoxy does show this, doesn't it? A disgustingly sinful, intolerant and warmongering cult like many others, equally susceptible to political pressures and profoundly hypocritical

Eastern Orthodox religion is what I was borne into and taught from early childhood by my grandmother Paraschiva. God rest her soul in heaven. Amen 🙏🏻✝️❤️ Greetings from Romania 🇷🇴
Any church that upholds apostolic succession is built on a heresy. Practicing heresies is a disqualification from heaven. *Galatians 5:20* The apostles had to witness Jesus after his resurrection. You can’t be an apostle without witnessing Christ after the resurrection. Therefore apostolic succession is a heresy and a false belief. Both Eastern Orthodoxy and Catholicism are practicing a different gospel. ------------------ *Galatians 1:6-7 (NLT)* 6 I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News 7 but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ. ❤💙💙
My son became a baptized orthodox Christian 6 months ago, or so. I'm not orthodox (at least not yet), but this was the clearest presentation of Orthodox theology that I've seen. REALLY well done.
As a westerner who never heard of the Orthodox Church and fell out of the Catholic Church in my teenage years now seeking Orthodoxy; this is the clearest explination so far on what the purpose of the Orthodox life is and why it gives meaning. Very complex but I think I get the jist of it. What an empowering and humbling destiny God wants for us!

@@LorenzoMasterConnector also a perfect example of how Rome cares more about submission than she cares about truth! Eastern Catholicism actually proves that the papacy isn’t even “catholic” (meaning universal.) no longer a universal creed or theology, but more than that, you have “catholics” confessing a creed and a theology which Rome once declared heretical, and you have “catholics” venerating saints which Rome once declared anathematized heretics. So are you in communion with heretics, or did the pillar of truth change its mind? You’ve brought a perfect example of the absurdity of your system, now get out of here with that, trying to proselytize on an Orthodox channel with your falsehood
@@kaden7374 keep telling yourself those lies. Orthodoxy loves to pretend like it’s got authority and sound doctrine but based off of research and actually trying to get to the bottom of it there are many I mean MANY inconsistencies. There is no mention of “Orthodoxy” in the Bible, prayers, or even pre-schism saints. But keep telling yourself that you’re “one” “holy” “Catholic” and “apostolic” church He reality points that orthodoxy does a lot of lip service and when out to the test fails miserably. I love orthodoxy and enjoy Byzantine liturgy, but when it comes to sharing “truth” it’s a mess and anyone who actually studies the faith can come to that realization with crystal clear accuracy. Pre schism saints affair the papacy, ecumenical councils, the filoque and more bit of course those facts don’t suit you so they are “lies” and “forgeries” Those classic rebuttals don’t work on people who actually have looked into the matte of themselves and I suggest orthodoxy starts sharing the full truth before they start losing followers that actually dive deeper.

I was born & raised in Japan til I was 19. Both my parents are American not Japanese, I was brought as Catholic but somehow I still found Catholicism was lacking. Its very interesting to me that the occult, the "Great Work", in super reductive and simplistic terms, is an inversion of Theosis. Trying to achieve this transformation without Christ. Thank you for another great video harmony.
It's the message of Christ that holds transformative power, not his death. "The Great Work" in esoteric Christianity means , to align your Will with God's Will..... nothing can be more righteous.
I'm a Westerner who had, before this video, never heard any Orthodox teachings. I explored Catholocism and Protestantism but found them completely uncompelling but I like this view of the purpose of human life better. It actually seems like there's a real reward for seeking the truth rather than filtering everything through a myopic lens of self-centred "personal improvement" that just shatters everyone into atomic, singular units divorced from one another and totally alone. I like the idea presented here of a "body" of Christ. I still wouldn't call myself a believer because I don't think souls or god(s) exist but at least I can somewhat understand what's appealing about Orthodoxism. I'll listen to the rest of the lectures and see what I think after. Thanks for uploading this video, it's unlike anything I've ever heard before!

@@kevinsayes Kevin, thank you for your comment and I hope you are having a good day. I understand your frustration with us Christians, with our non-scientific world view, although the deeper in science you get, the more mystery you find, enough that science have to create stuff like dark matter. We can also argue that Christianity played a major if not most critical role in the development of modern science and technology, we have always been a patron. There are many info about this online, from the creation of universities to the Bible's role in literacy and spread of democracy and independent thought. The doctrine of Man being made in the image of God, is the basis of our common law, allowing for many of the freedoms that we hold dear, allowing us to think freely and participate in scientific research. Christians have evolved with modern science and democracy in a partnership to enhance life, We have charities that nourish and educate young people to be future scientist and free thinkers although many of them grow up to mock the church in their pride, now that they have education and knowledge of the material world. At the end, Christians live in this world following teachings handed down to us by our ancestors, wisdom that has sustained us for ages and we pray it sustains us for as long as the sun shines. But this world is not our destination, heaven is, with our God. Our enemies are free to mock us and hate us, as they do through the ages, All we can do is pray that God does not send fire and brimstone upon them, because that happens sometimes. He is a good God after all.

When I chose orthodoxy things began to change in my life. I prayed to Christ one night not long ago ask for something. If he could hear me. I was wrapped in a wool blanket and each time I awoke in my dream there was a baby lamb on top of me. So far, i think i may have found some resemblance of holiness and connection to the God in learning the teachings of the abrahamic religions. Someday, i will delve into Islam, so i'll be on a lookout for a Qu'ran.

I hope we will be together again. God bless all of you. May the most Blessed Theotokos bless you all with her grace and Immaculate Heart. May the Divine Mercy of Our Lord be with us all. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women. Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen. Glory Be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, a world without end. Amen. Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us; and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen. We fly to thy patronage, O holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
God clearly wannted there to be denominations otherwise the backward civilzation of the east would have to grapple with the freedoms and inovations of catholicism, protestanism, evanghelism, or the opposite, and the west would have to adopt to the restrictive and suffocating traditons of orthodoxy meaning the world would never move foward. God made the denominations for each peoples so that they can all achieve their maximum potential. (This is coming from a orthodox)

"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:" Galatians 3:13
An improvement on your God & faith; would outlaw indoctrination & abuse of the vocabulary of fiction on children.
God Is Love
“He who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” (1 John 4:16)
You Are God
“Is it not written in your Law, “I have said ‘you are gods’”?” (John 10:34)
God Is Within You
“The Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21)
Someone has explained pretty well the concept of christianity and the ideology how its not t hat far from actual observable nature and science ... since its art literature... most people are not that intelligent to interpret the bible even... and everyone sees their own meaning in it....

I too am an Orthodox former atheist. Glory to Christ, glory forever

Any church that upholds apostolic succession is built on a heresy. Practicing heresies is a disqualification from heaven. *Galatians 5:20*
The apostles had to witness Jesus after his resurrection. You can’t be an apostle without witnessing Christ after the resurrection. Therefore apostolic succession is a heresy and a false belief.
Both Eastern Orthodoxy and Catholicism are practicing a different gospel.

*Galatians 1:6-7 (NLT)*

Catholics destroyed many monasteries in Romania, trying to get orthodox ppl covert by force to Catholicism
But keep telling yourself that you’re “one” “holy” “Catholic” and “apostolic” church
He reality points that orthodoxy does a lot of lip service and when out to the test fails miserably.
I love orthodoxy and enjoy Byzantine liturgy, but when it comes to sharing “truth” it’s a mess and anyone who actually studies the faith can come to that realization with crystal clear accuracy.
Pre schism saints affair the papacy, ecumenical councils, the filoque and more bit of course those facts don’t suit you so they are “lies” and “forgeries”
Those classic rebuttals don’t work on people who actually have looked into the matte of themselves and I suggest orthodoxy starts sharing the full truth before they start losing followers that actually dive deeper.

Same here. Grew up with a very anti-catholic, southern baptist father (who grew up irish Catholic himself but left the church very bitterly). Was always taught that orthodox and catholics were lost and corrupt, not true Christians.
As I've got older, i began to look at Christianity as a large nation made up of many different cultures, regions, and people. Catholic, orthodox, luthren, episcopal, Anglican, and many more, we should all be loving each other and working together to prepare the kingdom.
@@ballinglikechoji there is corruption as with nations, but we can do it, individually and not relying on the collective too much.

To leave heretic in his/her delusions is to have their blood on our hands. To be silent on these matters equals to apostasy. Been a believer, but never was a member of a church. The orthodox sermons and teachings online ive been watching are the only ones that truly resonate with me. Simple truths and simple layout of what the teachings and rules are. No filler. And thats what I love about it. Some people say its too "arcane" and its nothing of the sort. i was born into eastern orthodoxy but never truly connected to it growing up. i wasnt made to read the scriptures or attend church regularly, only participating in the important holidays like easter and christmas. and even now as im typing this i wouldnt consider myself particularly religious. though i have a big interest in learning more about orthodoxy, it has always felt like it simply wasnt a place for someone like me. Like it was a parade that id only ever observe from a distance. This video however was the first time i felt the sentiments of the teachings profoundly and im currently still thinking and ruminating on them. this was a really interesting watch!
ill definitely be looking into reading the full book :)
Such beautiful work of art to Glorify His Name. Glory to the Highest Priest. May the Spirit of Truth Guide us All. ☦
This one may ruffle some protestant feathers, but an important message nonetheless.
When doesn't the Truth of the Church ruffle protestant feathers..?
This Baptist found nothing to ruffle my feathers and little to contradict my beliefs. It may seem contradictory to basic Sunday School teachings but not so much with deeper study. I subbed. ❤ Christ is King.
Its only because you all openly worship idols. You declare this and that outside of scripture then pretend as if its truth. Mary is not a god, and praying to her is idolic worship. Its sad to me that having a personal relationship with Christ seems so impossible to all of you. I didnt have the luxury of a church so I sought Christ alone, and He changed me forever. What I don't understand is how you can put mary to a status of god when theres no scriptural anything to back this up. Im non denominational, but
Christ is with me, and I speak to Him more than my lady some days. However to your church im a heretic and couldn't possibly love Christ as I do. Its a trip really, im here with only my Holy Bible and faith, while you have this great expanse of ritual and doctrine that is knowwhere in scripture. Maybe yall still burn people for daring to read the Holy Book themselves, oh wait that was Catholics I get you guys confused sometimes.
@@dustydesertdisciple6290 Are you talking about catholic, orthodox or protestant? All 3 were mentioned. I am Baptist which is the severe other end of the spectrum when it comes to church authority versus Bible authority (Baptist is all scripture authority). We don't have idols whatsoever. So prior to becoming an Orthodox Christian I was a Mormon for 30 years. In that fairytale of a religion they have an axiom that goes something like this: "As man now is, God once was. The main differences between Orthodox Christianity and Roman Catholicism. the main things which keep our religions separate are:
Papal Supremacy, Papal Infallibility, The Filioque, Absolute Divine Simplicity, Created Grace Doctrine, natural theology, scholasticism, Original sin, sacred heart doctrine, Immaculate conception, Purgatory, Merits/Indulgences, evolution of Dogma, imaginative prayer, "beatific vision" etc
Then the Forced Celibacy of Priests, The use of Unleavened Bread in the Eucharist, The Adoption and change of the Christian calendar, The use of Renaissance statues, Pews, Child Communion, improper non immersion baptism, Cardinals, and differences in liturgical practices (Alter tables, Iconostasis, priest positioning etc)
all of those things, we say the Western Church adopted and innovated and became heretical when they adopted these things.
And we say that in the early church NONE of these things existed, there is no evidence of these things.
No examples of Papal Infallibility, No examples of merits/indulgences, and no examples of unleavened wafer bread, and such.
In fact in the west, In Rome. It looked a lot similar to how we Orthodox exist today. Our priests can get married, we use Icons and not statues, we use the old calendar etc
Orthodoxy Vs Roman Catholicism:
Energy Essence Distinction vs Absolute Divine Simplicity
Ancestral Sin vs Original Sin
Non Filioque Trinity vs Filioque Trinity
Patriarchy vs Papacy
Revealed Theology vs Natural Theology
Hesychasm Vs Scholasticism
Theosis vs Sanctification
Married Priest vs Celibate Priests
Infant Communion Vs Non Infant Communion
Iconography vs Statues
Full Immersion Baptism vs Sprinkle Baptism
One Baptism vs Confirmation Baptism
Leavened Communion Bread vs Unleavened Communion bread
Julian Calendar vs Pope Gregory's Calendar
We are not the same Religion, we do not have the same faith, and anyone who looks into either religions genuinely will see how different we are.
those indulgences that they used to get (or maybe still getting behind the scene?) made me be more on the side of Orthodoxy
