Yours for fly fishing and friendship! Dave Whitlock

As of September 2023, Oklahoma's Trout Unlimited Chapter 420 is renamed the Dave Whitlock Chapter. The club presents this video in memory of Dave and as an introduction for members far into the future who may not have come up fishing with Dave like so many in our chapter today.
Most of the footage here is courtesy of Emily Whitlock, who graciously invited us to photograph Dave's studio and the stream that he designed on their property near Tahlequah. Emily's brother, David Bruce, generously shared his personal interview with Dave.
Brandon Brown contributed his Stream Things underwater footage from Oklahoma Streams, including the Illinois River.
Ron Blome graciously allowed us to use footage he directed at Dave's Celebration of Life, held May 20, 2023 at the Whitlock home and parts of his Fishing With Dave tribute by Arkansas Fly Fishers.
Dave was our most famous member, but we honor him most for the example he set with his unmatched conservation efforts, all he taught us and his exemplary life ethic .

Such an awesome tribute and celebration of life for Dave Whitlock. I hope to read a few of his books and own some of his prints. I'm particularly fond of his Gorilla Damsel flies as they've landed me quite LMB in east Texas. Thank you for sharing this with everyone on UA-cam for all audiences to see.
