So true about line mgmt. My local is running 4100+ which has eliminated 90% of the safe, fishable water. What remains is some swift and interesting stuff. Once I finally got a good setup and could manage line, the fishing was easy, but I have to admit it took the better part of 6 hours to get it passable. A few more weekends and I was finally getting my line to do what I want. I think I gave myself tennis elbow, but it sure was fun! Opens up a whole new season for me now.

You’re the streamer king homie. Watching that fish smash the fly in two feet of water is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen fly fishing.

The difference with Jame's Videos over other creators, this guy teaches and makes it so digetable! For tip 1, pro tip, to take your line and flies off the rod without having to touch your hooks. Pull the line off the back of the foot of the reel, drop it, hold the tip over the water and then tap the rod with your non dominant hand and the fly will pop off.
To those booking with James, this video needs to be watched before you go! Otherwise, he will be telling you tip down every min and tell you to get ontop of your mends. You watch this and get this down, he will be able to teach you the finer things.

This is off topic, but since you recently bought a new drift boat and had to go through the titling and registration process here in NM I thought you might share some info with me.
I also just bought a new drift boat and had it titled and registered. Cost me ovwr $1,600 and I had to put reg numbers on my hull and am told I would have to re-register every 3 years. A couple days ago I asked a guide why no other drift boat has reg numbers. He told me I got taken because he didnt have to pay the huge tax to title and didn't have to number his hull. Now know there may be some difference for licensed guides and private owners so I am curious what your experience was with this process and the fees you paid when you got your new boat registered here in NM.
Anything you can tell me would be much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Alex

You only need to register a boat if you put a motor on it. Typical NM they wanted that $$$

@AboutTrout thanks for the quick response, really appreciate it. Did you register your boat through the Bloomfield mvd, and what were the fees if you dont mind me asking. Or if you dont want to say in this forum, can I comm with you via email. Im out several hundred dollars and am now looking hiw to recover the money.
      Cheers

$0, I only registered my trailer. You don’t need to register a boat in NM if it doesn’t have a motor on it. Drift boats don’t come with titles and if they’re new, you usually get an MSO.

Is it okay to just tie fly line into nice knots to the seat so you don't have so much all over the place?
