Here in the UK we think that crisped up trout skin from the frying pan is a real treat. Some restaurants serve crisped salmon skin as part of a dish.

Brown rice take longer to cook compared to instant rice, but in my opinion it tastes far better and is more nutritious. You can always precook a large batch and then bring a smaller portion in a ziplock. Love these catch and cooks man!

Cranking browns with a brookie color jerk bait is awesome. Up north we use brownie patterns to get our rainbows and rainbow patterns to get our smallmouth. They do eat they're own but they seem to like something else. Maybe they have a conscience lol

Where you at? I’m in NY, Niagara river area. They really like anything green up here, browns like yellow and gold sometimes, our browns are eating gobies recently!

Thanks for another great video! Maybe sometime you could talk a little about how someone who doesn't have a gun could handle a dangerous wildlife confrontation? This is something I'm a little concerned about doing my own catch and cooks.

Brown rice usually takes longer time to cook and if you want it make soft, be sure to soak the brown rice in the water for at least an hour or so before you start cooking.

Pinch a small sinker ahead of that Rapala to have it sink. The bills do sometimes break off if its crashed into a rock when you bring it back

I've never caught a brown trout. There just aren't a lot of them in BC. By far the most predominant species is rainbows, with cutthroat after that. I need to get to the south island and catch me a brown or two. That elk is eaten up, maggotized and dry. Nothing left to smell. Another great video. They take my mind off the shitty things.

You should try to make Burauntorauto Don which is basically like Unagi Don but instead you use brown trout instead of eel. Place the seared brown trout on top of sushi rice then drizzle on some cheap sushi style eel sauce on it. Hell, you can even knock yourself out and drizzle a lot of spicy mayo sauce or kewpie on it.

Pflueger president is one of the few reels with 10 bearings. I found the perfect combination. Pflueger president with a 7' Okuma SST rod and red Zebco 4 lb. Cajun line.
Zero bird nests since I started using this line. Casts better and invisible under water. Best part is it only costs $5.95 for 300 yds!
