here I am, diving into the warhammer 40k rabbit hole after watching the project started shorts. I look up "space marines warhammer 40k lore beginners" on youtube, and the first result that pop up is this video. I hover over the video to see its length - a whole 90 minutes long. The Lore Master once again blesses us with his presence. Even though I'm no beginner to the lore, but I love how you put the effort in for folks who are, considering how LARGE the scope of it is. Then you've got folks who're in deep with all of it, and you still make it interesting for us to watch. PRAISE BE TO THE LORE MASTER. Also... LUETIN SLEEP CLUB MEMBERS WHERE YOU AT?!?
Here for the 90 minute documentary - will RETURN here for the Luetin Sleep Club. Thanks, again, for all of your work, Luetin - you never cease to amaze me.
The Blood Angels are the reason why I got into 40k in the first place, they have so much going on as a chapter and are nigh on unstoppable when roused. The lore descriptions of the blood angels ships being stunning works of art where every bit of railing on stairs are master crafted contrasting with the descriptions of the death company leaving nothing but lone battle brothers with smoldering ruins all around them after an assault really makes them the most tragic chapter. They really embody that maxim of “only in death does duty end” and they persevere even though they all know the rage will claim them all eventually
Although in one of my favorite bits of lore that one chapter was so good at doing art and enjoyed it so much they had contests and managed to completely removed the black rage until the chaplains fucked it up by removing free time.
Bricky spent two hours on a very thorough beginners guide for each 40K faction…Luetin spent 90 minutes on a single faction. This is going to be a great series
@@RachetLikesOat sadly agree. Brickys description of Raven Guard Vs Leutin's speaks volumes about not video length but actual lore understanding. You don't know it till you can teach it.
I've done the whole circle of starting off only caring about Space Marines, then moving on to different xeno races I realised were actually super interesting, and kinda got annoyed at how much Marines got attention. Right now I think I'm back to realising I can still like Space Marines too. Great timing!
It's easy to just lump all the Astartes together when you compare them to the various other factions. However, there's a lot of lore and interesting details to each individual chapter you can really sink your teeth into.
All space marines are over saturated trash. The 40k Verse would be way better off without them. Even Malcador understood it and securing a weapon to destroy them all was a priority for him.
Just because I'm here to sleep while you talk doesn't mean I don't enjoy your Warhammer 40K videos. In fact I also listen to them on long drives as well. ❤️

What’s amazing to me is. I don’t play the tabletop or build the models. I don’t play the video games very often. But as a historian I find the attention to detail and labyrinthian story of 40K so captivating that these characters, chapters and events feel almost real. They’ve taken on a life of their own. And in the history of 40K you are the Herodotus, The Plutarch dare I even say the Cassius Dio. Foundational and groundbreaking. Also. I’m now a 5 year member of Leutin Sleep Gang. And will always be
You go so in depth. I’ve been a Warhammer 40k fan for years now. I still immediately had to watch your new video even if it had the word “Beginners” in it. Well done, Luetin09!

I have devoured every book and audiobook, painted models for hours on end and even played a few games of the table top casually. Your lore videos bring so much context to the setting for me. Man... i love Salamanders, Brother Sakan sold me. And the hearing these facts i did not know makes me love them even more. Pragmatic, Ferocious and incredibly humbling. Great Leadership skills and minds for battle. Their high mortality rate is another thing that makes me love them. They will lay down their lives for the most insignificant individual.

For my part, after your opening, I have to say that I am relatively new to Warhammer. Besides, it is always nice to hear someone talk about the story of their passion, a passion that has brought them to UA-cam. In fact this latest has received 27000+ views in two hours from a huge collection of fans who doubtless love the lore, love the voice and are interested in your subject. You do what you do so well. I will always enjoy. In the darkness of the future, there is only war. To be honest, in all the collection of Warhammer UA-camrs, there is only Luetin. For clarity, for depth, for the fans and for the lore.
I think shorter videos going through an original chapters and their successors, would be awesome. like talking about a family tree with a brief description of each branch of the tree. What a great work you do.
I listen to your videos while driving outside the city. You are always my number 1 pick on what to listen to. I listen or watch every video. Thank you.
My favourite thing about the Salamanders is probably the fact that they are the only legion that give their Astartes shore leave. They actually get time off to go back home and spend time with their families.
Imagine this 9 foot tall demigod just walking into a house, and his mom says “oh honey, your home after a long crusade! Can you help me unload the dishwasher?”
@@TuShan18 I thought the average astartes were like 8 ft tall or so? And that's in their power armor. The primarchs were noted as being 10 to 11 ft tall varying.
@@Guaguadeath it’s mostly a joke, but to go into the lore, sizes of astartes can vary person to person. There’s an imperial fist in the deathwatch that was noted to be quite short for a marine. Tyberos the red wake of the space sharks is one of the largest marines, and he stands a head taller than other terminators, an already huge set of armor. And he’s a raven guard/night lords hybrid. The primaris are of course a head taller, than firstborn. But the salamanders in particular are noted to be a chapter with some of the biggest marines, alongside the sons of anteus, and the alpha legion.
I am a lore veteran. But I'm so happy you're doing this series! I love to hear the Lore out of your mouth and perspective. Hail to the loremaster luetin
Woohoo, 90min Luetin upload, nice. Bonus points for doing the Raven guard and Sallies in PT. 1. Usually fans of the latter legions need to wait until the very end to hear a bit about their favorite Chapter.

Just started book 4 in the Horus Heresy, Flight Of The Eisenstein. As someone who has only interacted with The Hobby through lore videos (mostly yours obviously) and now the books, it can be extremely confusing (for me) I want to feel like I’m solidly couched in the heart of the story without having to worry about whether or not I understand specific terms nomenclature, that way I can feel confident that I’m following along with the story, understanding the language of the universe. So anyway lol this is the exact video I was looking for, you were essential to me gaining a pre-basic(?) understanding of the 40k universe and now you have come in clutch yet again, equipping me with the exact knowledge I desired to thrive on my journey into the depths of this setting via the official stories within this universe. The Emperor protects 🫡
Minor correction, with The Lion's return The Fallen who were not corrupted by Chaos directly have been sought out by The Lion, who can apparently teleport through the Forests of Caliban, and offered his forgiveness and a chance to return to the Dark Angels as The Arisen. Not sure if this includes Luthor or not. While the Cities of Caliban became a Daemon Forges of Vashtorr.
That part was a little confusing in the new ebook. The Lion switching between multiple worlds including with others and without even moving. But maybe becaus I was listening to it as an audiobook and not reading it

I really love imagining I am flipping though a giant tome viewing the images while you narrate. My heyday with 40k was RogueTrader and 2nd Edition so images and lore were the stuff of legend other than the black line art available in the few source books available. The color plates were usually painted minis. Congrats on breaking down that wall. This is a stellar video!

I couldn't listen to just anyone, or someone talking nonsense, you are ticking all of the boxes mate, please keep up the great work you are doing, it's very much appreciated 🙏

His occasional grammar errors because of the long scripts and sometimes the editing process just adds to the charm
Me 💯
Same here but one thing, please Lore master, do not put loud music at the end of some of your videos. You woke me up a few times.
I wouldn't have a single clue about what was going on within the world of Warhammer without these beginner videos. We all need a starting point and this will do nicely, much appreciated!
Exactly! I recently got into the audiobooks, and sometimes it feels like I should already know what’s being talked about. I’m so grateful for these videos.
Yh makes it super accessible. I just like the story and lore. Don't play or anything.
I like learning warhammer lore and sleeping. It’s a win win. Sometimes I even get weird warhammer dreams cuz of hearing it while sleeping. It’s great, don’t take it as an insult. It’s like an ASMR warhammer lore for those with insomnia
The “watch while you sleep” line hit me hard because thats what I do. But i have been watching during normal hours too lol. Great stuff.
If this is your first time seeing a Luetin video please take the time to support this dude with a like and a subscribe. His videos opened me up to the mythos of 40k (and truly, it can be considered a mythos) and got me invested in the lore like nothing else had previously been able to. Watch a couple of videos and you'll never look back.
I'll second that!
I third it!
Yep 100%.

I'm already doing it, and its the least I can do for the things he/his content as helped me with. So yes, JOIN US.
Year 5 of Sleep Club, but also my most watched channel during waking hours too. Thanks for all you do to keep us in the lore.
Your work is awesome and you are great. When I was nearly going insane last year from insomnia I used your lectures as a point of focus that prevented me from losing my mind on long nights without rest. My insomnia was finally cured, but I will never forget these wonderful works of art that served as my life preserver. Thank you.
here I am, diving into the warhammer 40k rabbit hole after watching the project started shorts. I look up "space marines warhammer 40k lore beginners" on youtube, and the first result that pop up is this video. I hover over the video to see its length - a whole 90 minutes long. A part of the title catches my eye and it makes me do a double take: "[Part 1]"
I grabbed some snacks and a drink, and I'm diving headfirst into warhammer 40k. Wish me luck
Welp, there's your retirement plan fucked up! Welcome to the lore community!
I'm a simple man; I see a Luetin upload,I click and I enjoy.
These videos always make me feel like I'm sat in some far future, grimdark history class listening to a cybernetically enhanced professor explain the convoluded as well as heavily censored and revised history of The Imperium...
"I had plans to talk about this subject in full in one video, but then realized it would take 3 hours to do so"
Luetin once again threatening us with a good time.
Great video as always, friend !
I feel called out by the sleep club 1:47 😂
Same lmao, thought I was the only one.
Luetin just wanted to give you a virtual hug, I discovered your channel in 2020 and it was really a brain lifesaver through the pandemic, now im addicted to all and any 40k content that you produce, proud of being a member of this dark and grim community
“And this video would be 10 hours long” WHY?! Why do you deny us!!!?? Good video my guy, SLEEP GANG!!!

Here for the 90 minute documentary - will RETURN here for the Luetin Sleep Club. Thanks, again, for all of your work, Luetin - you never cease to amaze me.
This guy gets it ^
Sorry, I'm the other way around. Sleep Club first, then come back for the documentary
Luetin sleep club!! I love sleeping to this, beats any white noise or music
Hands down my favorite channel for long drives and trips anywhere
Bricky spent two hours on a very thorough beginners guide for each 40K faction…Luetin spent 90 minutes on a single faction. This is going to be a great series
That is 90 minutes for Part I of the Adeptus Astartes
People don’t shit lutens. They shit brickys. Think about it.
Yeah, but bricky emphatically reads from wiki, Luetin actually knows his stuff.
@@RachetLikesOat this^^^
Not hard to make a long video when you're essentially just reading a book out loud, regardless of inconsistencies
Great timing!
orks orks orks orks ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS *ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS **_WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!_*
Repenting your heresy brother ❤
It's easy to just lump all the Astartes together when you compare them to the various other factions. However, there's a lot of lore and interesting details to each individual chapter you can really sink your teeth into.
Leutin, please, when is the part 2 of nachmund war coming out?
All space marines are over saturated trash. The 40k Verse would be way better off without them. Even Malcador understood it and securing a weapon to destroy them all was a priority for him.
You are absolutely an amazing Lore provider. I fell in love with Warhammer during Covid because of you.
Same Here👍
Same!!!
I re fell in love over covid, after leaving it for 8 years
Just because I'm here to sleep while you talk doesn't mean I don't enjoy your Warhammer 40K videos. In fact I also listen to them on long drives as well. ❤️
I don’t know how Luetin is doing this but he is so good in his flow of thoughts that when he talks 10 min about something off topic I just recognize it being off topic when he says „but back to the video“
There are a lot of us, who love listening to your videos while painting, or just when having coffee! We love your voice, background music, pictures... EVERYTHING!!!
You don’t have to call me out leutin! Your voice is calming.
You kill me man. I didn't realize there was a sleep club, but I've been a member for years. Putting the volume down to 8 and laying down for a long half-in/half-out LSC nap right now!
I'm glad your analytics pick up on the Luetin ASMR club. 😂 I usually watch them while awake the first time! Honest!
perfect intro. i literally put these on to take a nap sometimes. between all the AI generated and text to speach voiced content i enjoy myself a human being talking about something in an honest and passionate way like you do
I found you a few weeks ago. Hearing you say it's fine to listen to you to fall asleep made me smile.
1: You just have that comforting quality in your voice
2: That somehow makes the brain calm down
3: While you speak about the unspeakable horror of 40K
I love your content, going to sleep or not.
And will always be
Probably the deepest lore out there!
My favorite weeb historian also watches luetin? Based
You go so in depth. I’ve been a Warhammer 40k fan for years now. I still immediately had to watch your new video even if it had the word “Beginners” in it. Well done, Luetin09!
Luetin sleep club checking in! But in all seriousness I end up re-watching every vid twice in the daytime too :')
I do not fall asleep watching or listening your videos but I must say they do put me in a kind of meditative state after a few minutes.
Glad you got the restriction removed fam. Throwing it on again tonight to crash to. Love that you know your audience my dude.
Hey dude. Your the best.
You have been helping me stay sober for 2 years today.
You have made a difference in my life and I truly have never appreciated someone I've never met until I stumbled onto 40k and you. You make a difference in my life. Keep doing what you do man.
Much love from North Carolina.
Peace be with you and your family.
Luetin I want to thank you. I had never come across 40K until I happened to stumble upon your videos and thought "hmmm this seems interesting" (being a sci-fi nerd) and I have never looked back because of you. I have devoured every book and audiobook, painted models for hours on end and even played a few games of the table top casually. Your lore videos bring so much context to the setting for me. Thank you my friend for the hours of joy, for introducing me to something that has pulled me out of dark places and mental anguish. Never change!
Just went to bed and here is the perfect video to drift off to. I love falling asleep listening to luetin.
Ahahahaha, called out by the man himself.

I love the section of the Raven Guard. They are my favorite legion and so few creators ever devote any time to them it's wonderful to hear such praise and acknowledgement for them

Man... i love Salamanders, Brother Sakan sold me.
And the hearing these facts i did not know makes me love them even more.
Pragmatic, Ferocious and incredibly humbling. Great Leadership skills and minds for battle.
Their high mortality rate is another thing that makes me love them. They will lay down their lives for the most insignificant individual.
Looks like my Sunday night bedtime story has been sorted out for me 🤣 Hail Luetin and hail the Emperor.
You in the sleep club too
I was literally just thinking "I wish I could throw on over an hour of luetin talking about nerd stuff so I can play my game"

I saw your last post about being restricted on this video and just wanted to say that I appreciate all the content you put out and it sucks for your hard work to be marginalized by an algorithm or AI tool.
You’re amazing, keep creating in any way you can and I hope these little words of encouragement can let you and your family know how much we all appreciate your work.
1:26 wow I feel called out
Thanks for the chill voice and vibes though.
Started watching after the 1st Emperor of Mankind video. I rewatched it so many times because of how amped your storytelling got me. I especially like the Malcador throne part. Years later I am already familiar with the lore in this video but watch just to enjoy your storytelling talent
I could listen to your 40k lore for hours non-stop. Thanks for providing such detailed and comprehensive works, I'm very much looking forward to part 2!
The sheer effort and work that goes into this is greatly appreciated! In the dim dark shroud of the past there is only the voice of Luetin echoing the tales of humanities struggle to Galactic Dominance!
WHO TOLD HIM I SLEEP AS HE TALKS?? (I should also note that i love your videos even more when im awake, please keep on keeping on man)
I’ve been watching your videos for 3 or 4 years now. I’ve never played 40k, never read one of the books and I’ve never played one of their various video games however your videos are amazing. You deliver these works of art in an enthralling way and I’ll continue to love your content for years to come. Thank you for all the effort you put in to everything you make
My friend can not get enough of the deathwing terminator chapter. My favorite is the space wolves, not to be confused with the lunar wolves. Even though i am a greenskins player, the astarties are one of my favorites as well. Luetin09, if you could make a beginers guide to the ork klanz series, you would blaze even brighter as my favorite 40K lore channel. Thank you if you consider that option.
As someone who is trying to start painting miniatures professionally, your videos are priceless to me.
Listening to your content is so calming.
Thank you for all you do and please never change.
Thank you.
A Luetin grade presentation of the Space Marines chapters. What a treat.
Thanks.
My favourite thing about the Salamanders is probably the fact that they are the only legion that give their Astartes shore leave. They actually get time off to go back home and spend time with their families.
Really? I never knew that lol damn
Yep. Salamanders consider family bonds to be extremely important. Very Dom Toretto.
HEAR HEAR! HAIL TO THE LOREMASTER LUETIN!

I enjoy your videos. But yeah I do enjoy laying down and listen to you with closed eyes. You got a quite soothing voice.
Luetin, would love a playlist of all the music you use for your videos.
Woohoo, 90min Luetin upload, nice.
Bonus points for doing the Raven guard and Sallies in PT. 1.
Usually fans of the latter legions need to wait until the very end to hear a bit about their favorite Chapter.
Quality images, superior narration, sublime music composition, overall excellent story telling. Easy like.
Have to admit im Leutin sleep club, i listen to the same piece about 8 -10 times, fowarding it slighly each time as i always fall asleep before it finishes, i find your voice theraputic, and love the depth of the lore.
I loved every video for 2 years now. Lore videos like this made me a major 40k fan. Your the best at this in my opinion.

New Luetin club. The Luetin grading club. I've spent 8 hours today grading maths homework. Your videos made a super soundscape for sometimes apocalyptic failures. And some work inspired by the emperor himself.
Whats funny is i started watching you to help fall asleep and now i watch you all the time.
Incredible job with this, I look forward to Part 2! While I am glad to hear about all your subscribers who enjoy slumbering to your narration.
A good beginners guide to the Space marines and their chapters! Personally, I'm hoping/looking forward to the Salamanders video since barely anyone does videos on them.
I felt bad about using these videos for falling asleep, but they work and I'm glad Lueting acknowledges this.
Sooth voice with no surprises in the audio does work so well!
But I also listen to these for the lore when not trying to fall asleep, so I swing both ways on this matter😅

Yo..! That's crazy! I got into 40k through lore vids. Never played, painted, or read any books but i listen to all the lore i can find. I listen to vids for the second time when im going to sleep. Thought i was the only one that used this for 'bedtime stories'.
...I thought I was the only one using your videos to help me sleep. Your voice is just so calming and I find myself laughing when I think about how I know a bunch of 40K lore now but don't really remember learning it... because I was somewhere before sleep. Regardless, thank you for both.
@Luetin09 First off, thank you so much for all the time and attention you put into your videos. Your passion for the 40K universe shows through everything you put out. In fact, I developed an interest in Warhammer 40K when I started watching your videos three years ago. Your video on the Mechanicum caught my attention and made them my favorite faction in the series. Specifically, I am fascinated by their military branch, the Skitarii. Do you have any plans to create a video about them in the future?
I'm surprised you don't make a big 3+ hour lore dump videos, although I do understand the sheer editing nightmare it would be. There's a few youtubers I do watch who have made videos going over 5+ hours in fact, but they're very comprehensive and a certain blend of crazy lol
Also I appreciate Iron Hands recognition. If I have to hear one more head related pun, I think I'll lose my mind.
