Claudette Robinson is an American singer, songwriter, and producer, who is best known as a member of the vocal group, The Miracles from 1957 to 1972. She is also the former wife of Smokey Robinson, the lead singer and founder of The Miracles. She is often referred to as, the First Lady of Motown, as she was the first female artist ever signed to a Motown-affiliated record label. She has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the rest of the original Miracles, and has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She is also active in various community organizations, such as, the Rhythm and Blues Foundation and the HAL Awards.
