The scene where this Batmobile shows up, I CAN NOT watch quietly! My entire house shakes with my surround sound system going on this scene. This is a home run for JazzInc.
It was done SO WELL. Probably my favorite aspect of the movie is it is so profoundly consistent. The car exemplified the home-made, unrefined, brutal, unsophisticated nature of that early, inexperienced Batman. And it was just awesome.
So proud to be apart of The Batman and to see all the attention and love this machine is getting. Thank you Adam and Norman and everyone else involved!
It's wild appreciating your work on the batmobile, and then also finding evinetta, and then realizing it was the same person doing both. Keep killing it!
Lovely replica. I worked for Pierre on production where we built the actual batsuit for the film. We also built the “engine” you see in the back of the car, which is all fake. I had the pleasure of putting the weathering and damage on the real car in the bat cave aswell which was pretty awesome
@@JazzIncdioramas haha yeah it was a pretty intense job. It all had to be removable aswell for different sequences throughout the film. But you have done a fantastic job, the whole package is beautiful. I held off for too long due to space, but I then decided I need this so had to jump on the waitlist.
@@SgtStinger so we were costume FX, but we our crew has experience with props from the Harry Potter/beasts films. So we were asked to help out with dressing of the car. We ended up doing the engine, wheel hubs and the bumpers. The incredible Corbould and his team built the cars. I believe there were 3, but yes the engine in the rear is fake. They had a full working V8 I believe in the front of one, the hero car. There was a Tesla electric one for the city night shoots. And then a “pod” car, that had a driving seat on the roof so the cabin could be filmed with Robert acting inside without the distraction of actually driving
Back when they were filming, someone asked Jeffery Wright what he thought of the new Batmobile, and he said “just wait until you hear it”. And then we got the most incredible engine start up scene ever where the entire theater shook from the noise…… he was absolutely right.
I love this Batmobile. It has the distinct look and feel of something modified by a gadgeteer genius in secret, rather than the co-opted prototypes or one-offs that would have required more people to be involved in its construction. One of the things that bothered me with the Tumbler was that there was footage of it made public in the movies, but the US military didn't come calling on Wayne Enterprises to ask how a masked vigilante got his hands on their prototype. It's like the writers didn't understand that the military brass is regularly briefed on prototype progress so that they can request alterations to fit imagined likely deployment scenarios.
Initially, i remember being a bit underwhelmed by the design of the The Batman batmobile, but once I saw it in action it quickly became my second favorite behind the Burton 89. The way they introduced it and the chase itself was just awesome.
That's a theatre experience I'll never forget. I was so immersed into the story that I completely forgot the new Batmobile was going to show up at some point, and then you just hear the engines roar to life and it instantly put the biggest smile on my face. Such an exhilarating moment.
I have a friend that hated it. He asked a great question. If you were a super hero with an important car, why would you leave the engine exposed. One well placed bullet, and the Batmobile is crippled.
There was an early suspicion that the rear engine was a triton v10 but it isn't, most probable explanation is that it is bashed in-universe from other components. A crate motor would be traceable but a frankenstein one wouldn't. Its a shell built by Dominic Touhy's team over methane tanks, with a 454 on front. The weight distribution with a plant that large in back is nightmarish, but it'd work for the chaos of a ramming prow. The jet turbine might not be an afterburner but a way to get exhaust out faster. It is no more silly than any other Batmobile and it continues to grow on me. The echoes of the Animated Batmobile are one of my favourite bits.
This version of the batmobile is becoming my favorite, the way it almost designed like 60's muscle car but at the same time it's very heavily modded and reinforced everywhere, in the movie when this thing starts up and all the villains just look with that face of "oh, we're screwed big time" with that almost ghostly sound, it's awesome.
That Batmobile was made by a Batman that wanted the bad guys afraid; the fear that sound puts out in that scene is incredible! it's like something screaming And Wailling And ROARING FOR YOUR BLOOD and you don't know when it's going to stop or when it will charge you ; it's the most Batman a batmobile has ever been conceptually.
The introduction of the Batmobile in this movie is by far one of the best moments in the film. The minimalist sharklike look is a bold departure from previous iterations of the vehicle and you're not the only one who sees it becoming a favorite.
I have this and it's the main focus in my collection. I also have their 89 and Kilmer Batmobiles on preorder. There was no way I was going to let those pass up. The level of artistry and detail is fantastic.
I have the ZSJL batmobile, i exepcted details and a wow factor but nothing prepared me for how amazing it would be. You measure it several times, you look at photos and nothing compares to when it arrives. The workmanship, the quality and attention to detail is mind blowing. The service from jazzinc was also incredible, mine arrived with some flaws in the paint, replacement parts were sent out the day after my email. Not enough good things to say about them
I have a few Jazzinc pieces. It's amazing how his business has grown over the years but when you make a great quality product, word spreads in the collection community!
I have just got my first jazzinc and the 66 Batmobile model is great… its a shame they dont pack the product box with reinforced corners and bubble wrap as its a great artwork box and all the corners were crushed and side ripped…. They say they have to claim against the courier but actually its their customer service… they should pack better and send out a well packed replacement art/ product box….
Absolutely Beautiful work. Jazz makes them true scale by the looks of it too because they are HUGE !! 60’s BATMOBILE would have been the absolute one for me but is beyond my means. One day I would really like to see Adam go overseas and get a how it’s made factory tour of Hot Toys and some of the other high end 1/6 scale figure companies and now 1/12 scale. I can’t believe the detail and skill in the sculpting, painting and sewing. Whether done with today’s technology, or human mad skills I find it incredible. Even making and sourcing the materials used in creating these little works of art astounds me. Just Awesome
That is an unbelievable 1/6 replica of the Batmobile!!! I must have watched this upload a half dozen times. The detail work is amazing and the weathering. This is quickly becoming my favorite Batmobile. I never thought I'd see the day where Burton's drops from #1 for me. Seriously, great job Jazz Inc and thank you Adam for showing us! ❤️
Easily the coolest Batmobile ever, of course - but the real joy is the new corner in Adam’s cave: delightful to look at, makes you want to make stuff. Pretty table, too.
From when I first saw the concept art of it, I thought it was intended as an homage to Mad Max and the Adam West Batmobile. Lots of little design cues. I think they nailed it and I wish there'd been more scenes with it in the movie.
I have a bicycle with a lot of Carbon Fiber parts. There are screws that bolt on CF (epoxy) threads. Without a proper torque wrench you will strip the threads. Also, when assembling car engines, not using a torque wrench to tighten the head to the block is practically impossible. Besides new engines require the fancy torque wrenches that measure angles as well
second fav Batmobile, (first is Batman the Animated Serise). Just all that muscle car energy, looks fast while sitting still, looks like it could be built by one guy in a garage. thank you for sharing, I'm probably never going to buy something in this scale but it's so cool to see one.
I always thought that a torque wrench was just for getting things tight enough, until I rebuilt an aluminium engine and found out it was for quite the opposite also.
Lol, I know right?!? Clearly Adam has never worked on any real world mechanical applications. Don't want to use a torque wrench, no problem heres your bolt extractor kit, heres your drill and tap set, heres your threadsert kit, etc, etc.
I'm a torque spec follower but more experienced mechanics i know tighten a lot of things by feel. as long as its not engine parts or suspension his advice seems reasonable
I love Adam, but sometimes the limits of his experience show. The torque wrench is one example, and he recently made a video where he said he thought all the crap 3D printable models on the market were not a fault of the creators, but limitations of the software. Having used all major 3D modelling programs on the market, he is 100% wrong. The software is amazing - the problem is lazy creators.
I was honestly just making a statement. It wasn't at all to do with Adam's lack of knowledge. He's got more experience, knowledge, and skill that I could ever possess.
Yeah that was the dumbest thing i've ever heard Adam say. I literally just had bolts on my upper front driver assembly fall out/sheer off because we didn't torque them to spec because no other vehicle i've had demanded it, but defects in the design on this one mean it's super necessary
Damn, thats probably one of my favorite Batmobile designs. Looks way more reasonable for something a vigilante would actually have access to and drive.
It’s great to see 2 guys that get excited over the same things and work well together. Great episode as all of them . 1/6th is great. Keep it up guys. Have been following Adam forever will always be forever fan.
Something you guys may have missed / not known about; If you look at the rear of the car dead-on, it's designed to resemble a bat-symbol. They said they took that inspiration from the Burton batwing.
Frickin awesome! And I love the ultrasonic atomizer addition, you don't have to worry about some weird chemical or something heating up to boil the water, plus using distilled water limits the worry of corrosion. I'm a big fan of the year one batmobile. It's not some ultra expensive custom made behemoth with 1000 fancy gimmicks. It's just strong, fast and will get the job done.
LOVE IT!! Was just about to yell "HEY where the shot of the smoke with the blue light??" But then at the very end they go.. "don't you know we really love you?" 😁🤣🤣
It’s a great model. My question to Adam: I believe you noticed that the rear right lower exhaust pipe is off place. Is that “fail”something one can fix if it the case repeats in more cars??
No compromise on on quality and detail the craftsmanship as you could say is a steel fabrication of extreme skill many hours of manufacturing on this beauty .would love to see the extra detail of future customised additions on a follow-up video Please do one in the future!
Adam, I mostly agree with you on the torque wrench. However, "self limiting" depends on the person. I know a man who broke a 3ft adjustable wrench, along the forged jaw, by hand. At the time, he was a wire thin kid in his 20s. After that incident, we no longer told him to "get it as tight as you can".
It is a beautiful car. This is my favorite bat mobile. The grounded design does it for me. I look forward to seeing this car change as Battinson spends more time beating the streets of Gotham! Definitely what makes Reeves world intriguing!
Nice bit of kit , functional shelf queen , I have just remembered I have a few rc's that are bigger scale than my scale model vehicles one of which is a tank , working sound effects, working smoke machine for exhaust and working turret that fires bb's up to 20 meters, I need a new battery for it but otherwise like for like running tank , I need to open the original transmitter as the plug for the crystal needs soldering. I have a diecast mad max car up on the shelf that's a bit bigger than 1/24 . Cool video guys
I haven't seen this movie, not a huge Batman fan, but I do love the idea of Batman having a souped up 60s-70s muscle car (looks like a modded Plymouth Barracuda to me) and it's just an incredibly badass car.
Even though it’s not my favorite Batmobile with Adam west’s Batmobile being my favorite I do like it a lot cause it was inspired by the 1970 Batmobile that was based off of the corvette from the comics witch is really cool in my opinion
I kinda dig how in the late '60s there was a stretch where Batman just drove ...normal cars. Like he had a Corvette and I think a Mustang at one point. They weren't super tricked out. They were just cars.
sorry adam, whoever told you that about the handle on sockets and torque are just wrong. No IFS ANDS or BUTS. Torque wrenches are used to make sure you have the proper level of clamping, be it tight or loose. I have ALWAYS had issues with over-tightening using ratchets, I think I'm just snugging things down but end up being WAY too tight and end up stretching bolts and studs and have to start over with new hardware. On the other end my brother (who is much larger and stronger than I am) is forever leaving things too loose. For years in my fathers garage he would follow behind mechanics who believed as you do that torque wrenches were not needed and find that most were not even close to being correct. Every mechanic was required to use the torque wrenches or be fired, and over the years we lost several mechanics because they refused to torque correctly and it cost many thousands in repairs when their work failed. But that is VERY BAD advice to be saying to the public even as an off hand remark, someone may actually listen and not use a torque wrench when working on their vehicle, and some items, not torqued properly can have fatal results.
I love Adam Savage and everything he does but sometimes he does get some info wrong. Torque specs, especially on vehicle engines, is especially important. I ruined an engine once by overovertightening a bolt.
I would love to see this with an actual working engine and RC capabilities but then that's the kinda person i am cause looking at is one thing but playing with is another if your spending good money on something. Brilliant work to the team that built/designed this :)
When Jeffrey Wright who played Commissioner Gordon, who was awesome in that role, arrived on set his first request was to see the new Batmobile. It didn't disappoint. That car is AWESOME.
Hi Adam. Will you be doing a weathering demo on this vehicle in the future? Would love some tips as I await delivery of the weathered version. Thanks for all you do
That is a beautiful model. In addition to that, I love this design of the car itself for the movie. I hadn't thought of the reason to place the engine in the back like that other than to place more weight on the drive wheels but to place it there so that the front can be used as a battering ram makes a lot of sense. I really hope the Pattenson Batman gets more movies and I hope they take him more in the role of the animated Batman instead of the grim, Dark Knight-Nolan type Batman. I would love to see a scene where Pattenson consoles a dying Ace or telling Harley that he understands everyone has a bad day. It would be great if the writers see that with the meeting of Riddler in the sanitarium, Bruce Wayne--not Batman--needs to step up and do more for the city.
The functional V8 engine is under the front hood of the vehicle, the rear engine is a fictional afterburner. Rear-placed engines are real in street-legal cars out on the road today, but they aren’t exposed or fire-breathing like in this Batmobile.
That's pretty freakin' cool. Anyone know what kind of smoke generator that uses? I've been wanting to do that with my Apollo Saturn V model. Even bought a atomizer / mister but then I realized that's going to make everything wet.
I love the way that the engine isn't symmetrical. The exhausts all go at different angles and in different lengths, the turbos aren't equal. It really feels like Bruce built it on his own, in the basement, specifically to destroy some really bad people.
Okay, if they can do this, then they can make a Mad Max "Road Warrior" Interceptor in 1/6 scale - or a Blade Runner Spinner. ;-) There must be some weird licensing issues with those two movie vehicles, as nobody ever makes them (apart from the 1/18 AutoArt or Greenlight and that 1/18 Blu-Ray version of the Spinner). But having 1/6 versions of those vehicles for the 12" figures would be incredible. I modified the 1/18 Greenlight Interceptor into a "Road Warrior" version (which involved dremeling die cast, which was a bit dicey lol).
It's not terrible. I thought there was a lot to like about it, but a lot I didn't like. I felt the action was really good. I felt the casting overall was really good. I LIKE Pattinson as Batman, I think he played the part well. And I like that this version of Batman is less "roided-out paranoid freak" and more "the world's greatest detective". Batman in this film gets to show that he's not just a big strong guy who punches people. You see him actually being smart, looking for clues and piecing together the puzzle. That said, the pacing is AWFUL. The movie is over three hours long, and it did not need to be three hours long. A decent editor could have shaved an HOUR out of the movie's runtime and lost nothing of consequence. And honestly that's my biggest complaint. There were other minor quibbles, but nothing deal-breaking. The pacing was the biggest issue for me by far.
It's really good. I think Nolan's The Dark Knight is still the best overall more modern Batman film and Burton's '89 film the most classic and stylish but the newest film rocks in its own way.
You should see it. I feel they really managed to do something new with the franchise. Personally I don't think the story is on the same level as Dark Knight, but it is still worth your time. There are some truly great scenes in it that just exemplifies Batman.
I really liked The Batman, it pleasantly surprised me with its gritty setting and the excellent acting by all actors involved. The 1989 Batmobile will always be the best for me but this more toned down car really worked within the setting of the new film.
When I first saw behind the scene photos of that Batmobile, I hated it. Then I watched the movie, and fell in love. It's easily in my top two greatest Batmobiles.

That exposed engine is wicked. The exhaust stacks under the front hood... two engines?
Been binging one day builds today while working on a new camera bag for myself. I would say it has been a very productive day.
5:06 - With Adam's history of knocking things off of tables/benches, putting that model on that box gave me all the bad feels...
No compromise on on quality and detail the craftsmanship as you could say is a steel fabrication of extreme skill many hours of manufacturing on this beauty .would love to see the extra detail of future customised additions on a follow-up video Please do one in the future!
The cool thing about this batmobile is that it feels like something you could do in your garage.
You should photograph it with a Helios 44-2, one of the soviet lenses possibly used to shoot the car chase scene.
Just a beautiful model.
I was thinking that it was a pretty nice replica with some fun features. Then I heard the door close at 11:33 and now I want it so much more!
Their prodcuts are gorgeous! Did you guys see the Obi-wan/Anakin Jedi Star fighter? I would love to get my hands on that.
Of all the batmobiles, this is probably my favorite. Just raw beastly power.
I just spent the whole video trying to glimpse the new shop
Even though it’s not my favorite Batmobile with Adam west’s Batmobile being my favorite I do like it a lot cause it was inspired by the 1970 Batmobile that was based off of the corvette from the comics witch is really cool in my opinion
I kinda dig how in the late '60s there was a stretch where Batman just drove ...normal cars. Like he had a Corvette and I think a Mustang at one point. They weren't super tricked out. They were just cars.
Didn't realise this car had so much engine ! Wasn't too keen on this batmobile but seeing it in its full glory I kinda like it ...amazing model
Not using a torque wrench on auto parts that recommend it is possibly the worst advice I've ever heard adam give.
Please do not do this.
Can we get a tour of the new layout of the cave? So much more space! I kinda feel disoriented trying to figure it out for myself :)
Yes! Stay tuned.
sorry adam, whoever told you that about the handle on sockets and torque are just wrong.
This myth needs busted
Have they done a video about the new space?
Wednesday! It comes out on Wednesday.
Dude I am enjoying this review, I just got mine converted and paid for. I Can not wait!!
The best Bat Mobile, truthfully. Realistic, strong as an ox, and not overly technical.
When Jeffrey Wright who played Commissioner Gordon, who was awesome in that role, arrived on set his first request was to see the new Batmobile. It didn't disappoint. That car is AWESOME.
I don't care about Batman or movie replicas. Having said that, This Batmobile is SO COOL very amazing.
I have the 1/32 version sitting on my desk. I love it!! It's die-cast and the details are great for the size.
Noooooo 😮 torque setting's are very important on modern cars , and older cars with ally parts !
Hi Adam. Will you be doing a weathering demo on this vehicle in the future? Would love some tips as I await delivery of the weathered version. Thanks for all you do
$2,200 to geek out like a 13 year old. As much as I loved the reveal of the car in the movie I could spend that much money on an actual car.
Which means you’re poor 🤣🤣
But… Batmobile
@@VonKickasspersonally I can buy this car more than a couple dozen times. Still doesn’t justify the price
would love if these models came with better speakers. It would make such a huge difference
Ash Torp absolutely killed it
That's awesome! I love it!
That box art would be awesome framed! The 1/6th scale Batmobile is phenomenal!!! 😎👍
I collect LEGO versions of the live action Batmobiles. It’s so cool to see them all sitting next to each other.
That's pretty freakin' cool.
Anyone know what kind of smoke generator that uses?
I've been wanting to do that with my Apollo Saturn V model. Even bought a atomizer / mister but then I realized that's going to make everything wet.
Still beyond me, how that movie got robbed at the Oscars for best Sound, Best Soundtrack and overall Cinematography...
I want to see this movie. I did not get the chance to see it when it came out, but the more little things I see about it, the more intrigued I am.
It’s really good. One of my favorites!!!
You should see it. I feel they really managed to do something new with the franchise. Personally I don't think the story is on the same level as Dark Knight, but it is still worth your time. There are some truly great scenes in it that just exemplifies Batman.
@@JazzIncdioramas the man himself
I really liked The Batman, it pleasantly surprised me with its gritty setting and the excellent acting by all actors involved. The 1989 Batmobile will always be the best for me but this more toned down car really worked within the setting of the new film.
When I first saw behind the scene photos of that Batmobile, I hated it. Then I watched the movie, and fell in love. It's easily in my top two greatest Batmobiles.
I saw the full scale car in person at the WB tour and it’s just mean in the best way.
man, look how happy he look! I would be happy to if i have that.......
I feel they should have done box in a box as the box was clearly not pristine when removed
Love to see this remote controlled.also a knight rider would be awesome
