This video shows you how to install new TRQ sway bar links on your 1997-2001 Honda CR-V. Sway bar links connect the sway bar (stabilizer bar) to other suspension components. They have a movable joint that can be damaged or wear out over time. When that happens, the joints get loose, and rattle.
This repair was done on a 1999 Honda CR-V EX 2.0L Sport Utility 4-Door 4WD and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
1997 Honda CR-V
1998 Honda CR-V
1999 Honda CR-V
2000 Honda CR-V
2001 Honda CR-V

Everything I have read and the manual states the car must be on its wheels on level ground before tightening the sway bar links up, to get the right torsion. But every video has the suspension hanging. I followed the video and resulted in much banging. Redid them wheels on the ground, no noise noise. Why do so many so called experts mislead the average punter?
YIKES! DO NOT ever tighten the the forks down with the wheels off the ground, you will preload the rubber when it is finally sat down causing premature failure of the bushing.
Thanks a lot for the step by step how to vid. Very informative.
is there one on the left and right side?
Good tutorial. Thank you.
Very good! Do you have a diagnosis video?
I stripped the hex key bolt now I'm off to the store to buy, yet another, tool. Thanks for the help!
