Hi Peter. Love your work. Just a suggestion to improve this video.. showing sample footage of each mode so we can see the effects of each mode would really drive things home, at least for me!
That`s what I thought this video would be about. I literally bought my weebil 3S yesterday and I`ve been struggling with which mode to use for my intended shots. A video with sample footage from different modes and background video showing how he`s moving to get that shot would be awesome
Hi, peter I love to watch all your tutorial. I'm using a gimbal for my work and I've learned more from you. I wish you have a scholarship program to that I can apply. In my case, I don't have enough salary to afford your fees.
wonderful video Peter. Thank you very much. i have a question please/ I have Weebill S, and when i press Fn key it shows GO and when i leave the Fn button the display shows as PF, not GO mode. Also in the front button when i leave the button it changes from F to PF. am i doing anything wrong? Please help. thank you.
Hi 🙂 Thx for vid! Is there a way to lock the gimbal to a point? So it will always keep that point in the center of the frame? (like a slider staying focused on the center location) Thx 🙂 J
gud day sir. i just want ask some question. what firmware do you use in these video? because my weebill s you must hold the button to become F mode or follow mode. if you release the button it will back to PF mode. if you only single press it will back to PF mode
Hi. I have an rs mini 3 after balancing all axis in excellent but when I use it,the Roll axis keeps saying unbalance and it will go to standby or sleep which is annoying. How to fix this?
@@PeterMakholmthank you . I understand that but the question is how to keep the Gimble in lock mode for some time ? . If you release the button it goes to normal mode
I tend to only use PF for my family / kids videos. POV or F require a lot of conscious thinking where to point the camera which is a challenge chasing my kids..
I am shooting in RSC 2. I am using PF, PTF and Custom is also set to Lock Mode. But sometimes i wish to use the roll axis when am covering some stationary object and just roll it from say 45 degrees or 90 degrees to Horizontal axis. How do i do that since none of the modes have roll axis enabled now
Very helpful video! In your opinion, what mode do you think would be best while mounting it to the front of a boat, with the camera pointing forward/ahead of the boat? My gimbal has pan/tilt, pan follow, pov follow and all lock..
But just keep in mind that if you hard mount a gimbal to a boat you will get micro jitters because you can't stabilize the z axis unless you have som kind of shock absorbing system mounteded with the gimbal.
Thank You for this video Peter! I always enjoy hearing you speak and watching your videos! I want to ask, will the Gimbal Academy have a fee to join or will it be free? I'm very excited to join as I will be owning a DJI RS2 by the summer time.
Thanks mate. The academy will be a paid course. The price will be $499 but If you are on the mail list you will get a great deal on it. A split payment will also be possible. The RSC2 Is a great choice.
Hello Peter. Great tutorial. I bought the smallrig follow focus mount, though I later understood it is compatible with the DJI gimbals, and not the weebill s. Do you have any idea if it will be compatible with the F38 baseplate for weebill s? I have the weebill S and really hate the follow focus setup. Looking for an alternatively more convenient setup.

ma you make videos about using these modes in real shooting? and which mode use for what?
Nice showing but almost complete. If you show the result of each mode while you are talking I think it had been even better
Thanks

Yes if you use lock mode. The gimbal will stay locked in the direction it is pointed.
@@PeterMakholm Thx! To clarify,,, it will stay pointed in the same direction, but will not stay pointed to the same POINT. (like a slider follow pan)?
Do you advise me on a special monitor? What model do you use? thanks for the video.
Hi. I use the Small had focus. It is a 5inch monitor. It always works and it's super easy to use.
Peter, so which gimbal u prefer? weebill s or rsc2?

should i buy zhiyun weebill s or DJI ronin rsc 2 , with sony a7iii + tamron 28-75mm ?
RSC2.
@@PeterMakholm thanks man.
Any chance you will do any IRL courses in Copenhagen during the summer?
What lens do you use for the gimbal?
It is the Lumix 8-18mm. and then I have the PolarPro PM 2-5 stops ND filter on the front.
@@PeterMakholm thank you for the quick response. 👍
seu curso de gymbal tem legenda? falo português
Another great video thx. Could you please make a comparison between Small Rig Handel vs Ulanzi which you use alot!?
Thx
Nicely done. A seperate video for the Ronin would be helpful for us DJI folks
How to put rs2 in all lock mode ?
Hold the front trigger

I would use PF mode. Because it will keep tilt and the roll stable. But the pan will still be able to follow the side motion.
But just keep in mind that if you hard mount a gimbal to a boat you will get micro jitters because you can't stabilize the z axis unless you have som kind of shock absorbing system mounteded with the gimbal.
