iPad: Why Does It Exist? (2020)

This is where I use the iPad to understand why does it exist, because I always have wondered what makes it important, what makes it something you want to have in your life, what purpose it helps in solving. And my conclusions have been, to say the very least, interesting.
iPad has been device which has stayed inside this void that exists between a smartphone and a laptop. For so long it just seemed like a device which was an expanded iPhone, with less features and a bigger screen, but that all changed with the iPad OS.
So how great is the iPad now? Does it really have its own purpose? Can it really form a big part of how you work everyday?
