I was lucky enough to be hired to haul Tom's car to the track. I brought my Miata along so that I could get in some track time, and wound up doing double duty as the camera car. Meeting Tom was a real treat. He has the right mindset for a novice driver. No ego, no attitude, just eagerness to have fun and learn a new skill. Any day at the track is a good day, but this one was especially memorable.
So happy to finally see Tom driving the e46. Can’t wait for more. Also I think In future clips featuring Tom on the track, don’t play music during the driving footage. Much cooler hearing the sounds the car makes.
@@skyricq only time I’ve ever slid on black ice was coming down a mountain and I nearly watched my friend’s car in front of me spin off a cliff right after my car nearly did, definitely wasn’t fun in that instance lmao

@@winnieblews he did a good job there. Good instincts. Most people would immediately hit the brake, but Tom kept his foot in it, which is exactly how you recover a slide.
This needed to be at least 15 minutes long. I recently drove a Lamborghini on track for the first time as a birthday experience. Life long goal and it was SO much harder than I imagined. Takes incredible focus and rewiring your senses to drive fast and accurately.
@@darrensanimalsreptilesfish30 wait!!! So you breed the rats and feed them to the snakes?? Just all lovy dovy with them and just give them to the snake as a snack 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Man I just discovered Tom and Burt about two months ago and these two guys have changed my life....like hands down, life changing...thanks..... #SeguraKreischer2024
My sport is bracket drag racing, I've never done road coarse racing, but I've been listening to the podcasts for a few years now and it's really cool to see this content! More car stuff please! Making me want to try road coarse racing lol
@3:17 I’m in the background next to our ChampCar Datsun 280zx lol. We were out there that day shaking it down before the 8+7hr enduro a few weeks later. Tom was quick, until he lost it trying to chase me down in T10 😂 great seeing him out there, welcome to the world of Motorsport!
Sweet. Great first day. You got after it and that is the best way to get rolling. Id like to see more of your personal car as well. We got a bit of a peek there.
The E46 chassis is such a great car to learn in. It really does have a nicely balanced chassis (front/rear), that makes it easier to recover from oversteer. Your model is non-M...so if you put it into a wall...no hurt feelings.
3:05 if you thought spinning out was fun, ever thought about drifting? The E46 is a great drift chassis and switching over to drift suspension is a quick and fairly simple change
We hear Tom talk about his driving a lot, but it's awesome to see in action. He can really put the hammer down tbh, the recovery from that slide shows some real talent.
This is super neat, H2R is somewhat local to me but i havent had the chance to make it out there yet, and i remember seeing a photo on a local facebook page of an E46 with "powered by fat sticks" on the rear bumper, and i can finally connect the dots. Hope to see you at some Spec 46 races, series looks fun.
As a car guy, when this was brought up on 2bears1cave, i was so fucking excited! now its time to see if berts a cheap fuck or if his gift is kick ass. We gotta get Tom in a 2 seater drag car though. Roundy round a track is cool and all, but nothing beats going 0 to 180mph in less than 7 seconds.
I have a feeling the brand new Porsche Tom showed up in...is probably quicker around the track than that 20 year old BMW. Technology has come a LONG way
Hey Tom and Bert and 2 Bears Racing people - co-founder of the Spec E46 racing class here. Excellent choice on the car to build/gift/learn with, would love to hear more about how you arrived at the class and talk about how we get you guys licensed to come race that thing with us!
Harris hill is a great track for this car. Nice and light and not a lot of power. I took my C63 down there earlier this year and got passed by Miatas because of the tight corners
One of my favorite comedians participating in one of my favorite hobbies. I'm a stones throw from you in Houston and a member at MSR Houston, if you ever want track time there just hollar!
I'm so glad that you had some guidance getting in the racing because you guys have enough money to do what a lot of guys with money do that ruin their racing experience. You've got a great car that's going to build some great skills and you're really going to notice it when you drive your GT4 around the track how much better you are at it.
Tom spun that around in 4 strokes, good to see Tom out at 2395 Wagner speed way, he's not being stingy with the pedal either, he went for it, you know what I'm saying?
HELL OF A SAVE TOM...if you havent already I highly suggest getting a nice sim set up and hop on iRacing you'd be surprised how well it transfers over to the real track
That's rad. I used to have an E46 M3, not nearly that built though. It got hit and totaled by someone that fell asleep while driving.. This was right before the prices skyrocketed, so the insurance payout wasn't enough to allow me to replace it. Loved that car.

I learned how to drive on a track on a spec Miata. No regrets. Loved that car
I was wondering what the follow car was because it was following with perfect race lines
Is this in Austin? My brother has a similar car that he races there occasionally
Super cool. I hope to run into him one day on track with my s2000.
I can tell by this comment you don't lift
Love the instructor tightening his seatbelt during the ride
Also was almost immediately after he spun out too lol
Tom showing up in that new GT3 touring👀
Yup. So damn beautiful
Hot shit. Apparently he has a Sport Classic allocation.
Such a sleeper looking car.
I was trying to tell wat it was, after 3 rewinds i gave up 😂, good eye 🤙
he looks like such a G just climbing out of that beast!
We want more of this Tom.
Do a track series with Joe and other car-comedians.
Carmedians..
Clip it
Fr, like the 45 minute lightly edited version of this is what car guys want hahahaha. The speed academy of comedians
I would watch the flipping heck out of that
"Gentleman Driver with Tom Segura"
Great idea
Carmedians in Cars on Medians with Coffee in Cars with Comedians

100%
From a top-level dancer, to a racecar driver, this man's incredible. Proud of you Tim.
He almost killed himself and the instructor 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@dale1070 almost nothing. Track had plenty of runoff. Great track for a first session.

E46 race car, definitely a great choice! Thanks Brent and have fun Tom!

Each guest bear needs to set a lap time like the celebrity in a reasonably priced car segment from top gear
Change cave to car and they’re rolling
Put Ryan Sickler on the roof. I wanna see that man hootin and hollerin!
Comedians in cars getting sloppy.
