Not gonna lie, someone was cutting onions over here. I'm not as close to JB in terms of racing, just doing HPDE with the local club, but I too have the same dream. Maybe one day! I would love to have seen a cost breakdown of what it took to get where he did, including any sponsorship or freebies, just as a rough guide.
Seeing Jerry tear up before a race made my heart drop. Been in the same position when chasing my dream. Its alot of emotions and you cant hold it back. Really glad they kept that clip in

Thats a lot of time, effort and of course, money. Also Jeremiah didn't do so bad, the first race DNF (if the car didn't broke off he'd finish in 6th, but thats motorsport, where anything happens (and Edit here because I forgot is that Jeremiah didn't notice that because sim games doesn't simulate that thing), his second was 5th and in qualify was 4th, for being new at everything isn't that bad

Referring to the “too much of a man” comment. I’m ex army and as soon as I saw his eyes, before he even cried I felt myself well up. Try pretend you don’t have emotion and you’ll no longer be you.
watching Jeremiah in tears just before the race, reminds me of my first and only time in a racecar...those emotions just hit so hard, the moment you realize this really is a dream come true!
right before my first race, I remember crying, throwing up and literally praying. 3 years after and I had a ride on the Honda CBR team. Racing is something else 😂
i NEVER thought id get teary eyed watching a donut video, and honestly so stoked for you to live out a dream like that! Your team and fans are proud of you dude!
Jeremiah doesn't strike me as the type to tear up easily, so when he did... that hit so deep in the feels. It's rare to see someone appreciate the gravity of reaching their goals like that.
14:40 got so emotional out of nowhere I almost started crying 😢I’m happy for you that you got to achieve you’re life long dream, you earned it bud!! Soak it in!!
Hell yeah Jerry! So glad they kept the part in the video when it's just him in the car before the race. Such pure emotion and it's great to highlight the feeling of someone achieving their dreams!
I have to say, Donut has been on some top-level content as of late. All the guys never fail to entertain either. MoneyPit and Jeremiah's crazy adventures have gotten me in a chokehold.

Seeing him tear up made me tear up. Thanks for leaving that in. Takes a lot for men to show emotion and you guys putting him on display means more than probably you all knew. Happy for him and you guys!
Best episode yet. Just wanted to let you guys know that I recognize how much work went into making this video. I wonder how many people even noticed the sound design and music subtleties throughout the episode
I remember back when Jeremiah for came to Donut. I didn't know how to feel about him and probably busted his chops a bit in the comments of his first few videos, but he definietly won me over. To see him living his dreams and still hittin' with those premo jokes, it chokes ya up a bit. Love ya, Jeremiah. Can't wait to see you on the podium!

This is awesome! So glad you're getting to live your dream -- and the dream of so many viewers watching your channel. The racing world is incredibly competitive, I think I'll just stick to casual track days and Assetto Corsa after this video 💀
Seeing Jeremiah go full emotional before his debut race... Man... this just hits hard. Donut has learned us several times that, no matter how hard things could go... *_just never give up..._*
You made a lot of engineers tear up with this video. It’s a reminder that our passions are like gardens in that they improve with care, effort, and patience. If engineering is the soil, our dreams are what we plant there. Great stuff❤
I never drove a car and I am generally speaking against even the very concept of personal vehicle ownership for transportation. But I'm a big fan of passionate people and Jer is my fav Donut presenter because he's funny, humble and smart. I was really happy for him

I cried with you man. My heart swelled with excitement for you, it’s an incredible feeling to achieve your dream. I hope to see more of you on the track.
Man, Jeremiah living a lifelong dream I have had since the days of Gran Turismo 1. I will say, those feeling and emotions he had in the car, right before his race, are absolutely real. I remember when I did my first race day on my motorcycle. The amount of pressure, anxiety, fear..everything just comes at you all at once. It's honestly sooo nerve racking, I have seen people forfeit and not get on the grid because of the pressure. I am genuinely proud that Jeremiah pushed through and still competed. When I did my first race day, I got last place in all of my heats. But ya know what, I walked away with my motorcycle looking shiny and in 1 piece, and with a huge grin on my face, knowing that the experience further solidified my passion.
I'm so happy for Jerry you could feel how much that ment to him to be able to even try to compete in a race. Found my self cheering for him out loud on my lunch break good job.
14:36 I felt that moment so hard. Working for so many years and finally have my own brick and mortar store (3 years now). Nothing like having a dream come true! Donut is simply the best
Watching jerry tear up before racing just made me rethink my entire life I came from a racing background raced jr dragsters all my childhood and taking that for granted and seeing a guy like him chase and conquer his dreams is just amazing I loved watching that man congratulations on living out your dream!
I was there at COTA during the GT Challenge and got to see you race Jeremiah. For your first time you did great. I wouldn’t even know what to do. I also even got a picture and autograph from you so thank you for that!
I feel like I've been watching Donut since day one and seeing Jerry cry like that made me cry. I know exactly what he's feeling and it's so overwhelming. Amazing to see you live our your dream!
Damn, dude. I got emotional too watching him get like that in the car before the race started. That was really cool to see because it felt super real/raw. We're all proud of you, dude! I hope that was an amazing experience for you. And who knows, maybe something will come out of it in the future.
Really enjoyed this entire video. Honestly was touched by Jeremiah's emotion and seeing him come back in race 2 placing 5th was the cherry on top👊 Hope to see more of him racing 👍
Love to see the realness come out in Jeremiah. We mostly just see goofy antics out of everyone at donut so its awesome to see some true emotion. Makes him so much more relatabe Congrats on your achievement man
15:00 man that shit hit hard... I felt that in my soul. Years ago I built my own car. A 96 civic si (we had those in canada) with an acura EL front clip. I bought as a bare shell from a junkyard. Over 2 years I spent $13k on mostly used parts except the drivetrain I built myself while in college for automotive. Literally built in my dad's backyard with hand tools. Not even an engine hoist. I jacked up the front, drug the drivetrain underneath, and lifted it into place standing on the shock towers with a strap over my shoulders. The only help I had the whole time was dad sticking the motor mounts in while I held the 350lb drivetrain on my shoulders. Fully built b18a1, high compression, gsr trans with ls 5th, lsd, stage 3 clutch etc My first time down the strip, I was having that same rush Jerry did, tears, everything. Dreamed of drag racing since I was a kid. 13.6 quarter my first pass with a perfect .500 light. Cried my eyes out like a little kid. Ended up selling the car for next to nothing right before my oldest son was born 8.5 yrs ago. I'll never forget that car or that moment as long as I live. I'll build another with my two boys someday. Good job Jeremiah, so proud of you man.
Really glad they kept that clip in of Jerry, and assuming he was also okay with it. Life long dream, probably so much emotion kicked at the same time. So happy seeing the people that make you happy, happy. ❤
Bro I actually cried when Jeremiah said life long dream. I could feel how moving it was to the kid in you. So Happy for you bro you and the whole donut crew inspire us. Such a dope culture you guys have built. Yo guys funny asf too!
Watching this and seeing Jeremiah live out his life long dream, maintain his confidence in himself and his newish to him team, and pull 5th place after his car broke the first time around, it's just amazing to watch. If he really wanted to and he stuck with this I think he would be amazing. The raw emotion he had, I'm glad we got to see that, because I was crying too seeing him live his dreams and proving himself here.
Racing experiences are brutal if you don't piss money for a living. Asking to crew for a TC Racing crew was pretty illuminating for me as far as the costs and the logistics. The amount paid to have multiple days of your week including time taken away from work is rather low especially if they crash or break the car and you have to try to piece it back together. Even working the race doesn't make sense. The wheels and tires are expensive and if it's an endurance race you can go through 20k in tires. For the customer, they're paying for service, prep, transportation by the team, trackside support and changeouts, and typically their pro co-driver and they typically like to go first because if the pro has a mechanical failure or crash then they just wasted at least half of their spent money. At that point I realized that I would never be a racing driver so it was really cool to see Jer get the experience. It really gives you an appreciation for all the hard workers and volunteers of more grassroots level orgs.
This may be my new favorite from Donut. So cool to see Jer live out a dream like this. The story was amazingly well told and really got me into it, my heart was racing during the first race! Thanks for the content, glad you got to experience this, Jeremiah! Looking forward to more content like this!
Honestly, you guys are some of the best UA-camrs out there. The whole episode from the effects editing, to the story, and just being there for some emotional moments. It’s so cool to see you guys expand and grow, and it seems like you guys are genuinely are even more mind blown that you have gotten to this point. I can’t wait till your merch hits zummies! And the fact that it’s coming to Canada!!!! So sick!
Congratulations Jerry! Brought me back so much memories from my début in the Canadian Rally championship. So many emotions doing all of these steps to finally make a childhood dream come true! Lots of up and down in this sport but in the ends the feeling you get is all worth it! Cheers my man
How'd you get into it? My exposure to rally is basically just loving the Dirt Rally games and loving the concept of rally as a whole... which I realize they are short of being a sim but it's a starting point to want to check out doing it irl. (and have done just some informal gravel road runs with friends) Would love to at least check out the prospect of getting into it. Even considering saving up to do the Dirtfish 3-day school. Any recommendations for doing it in Canada?
@@Stumbler69513 honestly it’s pretty much like Jerry explained in the video, first you need to be a member of a racing club, then course plus applying for racing license. Stages are short between 5 to 30 miles per stage but it’s usually on 2 day with around a total of 24 stages. So it’s actually really long races. But honestly never in my life I felt a bigger adrenaline rush. All the trouble I went thru to get there was all worth it after I drop the clutch on my first race ever.
Hell yeah I almost got so sad when he didn’t finish the race then he said he’s gonna get a second chance. This video felt special im so glad i saw him live out his dream, as this is also one of my dreams.
Its not just the fact that it was his life dream But the stress and all the work and COMPROMISES it took to get there... That is not his car, that is not his team, a lot of money that isnt his, so dissapointing them or braking something... To be able to work with that fear... Respect
14:36… The part where all of us who’ve sat in a race car before their first race and realized the dream is now reality… Congrats Jerry. You made it brother!!! 14:59… The part where you switch on, “Go Mode”… That’s what’s up!!!
I feel the tears man… that’s what makes donut so original cuz you could put a million feelings into a car but once it’s something like a life long dream it just seems surreal. I felt that down to my core man…love all of donut
Seeing Jeremiah get emotional while achieving a life long dream got me right in the feels.

By far my most favorite episode. To see someone actually doing something they only dreamed about and seeing that raw emotion. Love it.
Hands down my fave episode, go Jeremiah! 🔥
They should do more of this and less of the trying to go viral garbage
Yep, Jer is a very lucky dude
😊😊😊😅 😊😊😅
Agreed. This was the best video Donut's done in quite a while. Jeremiah FTW!!!

Fucking rhrottling
Yo, that part where you just sat and teared up a little was really wholesome. I appreciate it.
Dying laughing when he pours milk before the cereal😂
THE VIDEO JUST CAME OUT HOW DO YOU WATCH IT ALL THE WAY IN 4 MINUTES?!?!?!
thank god Im not the only one who saw it
I legit went straight to the comment section when I saw him do this
@HeisenbergIsHereI'm good
Yeah, I caught that too🤣
by the 13:00 minute mark I was on the roller coaster of emotions with Jerry, Kudos for the attempt man!
Bro I actually cried when Jeremiah said life long dream. I could feel how moving it was to the kid in you. So Happy for you bro you and the whole donut crew inspire us. Such a dope culture you guys have built. Yo guys funny asf too!
Hands down, this is my favourite Donut Media video so far! I’ve loved every minute and felt inspired at every step of the way! Well done 🎉
Congrats on finishing a professional race, Jerry!
And top 5! He should be super stoked! Wonder how big the field was in class?
I felt that emotion with you. And that’s ok. You got to live out your childhood dream. We are all proud of you JB.
Great job Jeremiah!!! So happy for you and the Donut crew!
i love road course racing so this is so refreshing to see
This may be my new favorite from Donut. So cool to see Jer live out a dream like this. The story was amazingly well told and really got me into it, my heart was racing during the first race! Thanks for the content, glad you got to experience this, Jeremiah! Looking forward to more content like this!
14:51 this moment became my favorite one in donut’s videos. This just shows that they are like us and makes them even more relatable
man this is the first yt video that made me tear up, its so awesome to see how passionate and invested u are in your goals.
So sick!
love to see how happy jer was before his race. brought a tear to my eye.
Jeremiah tearing up living out most men like myself childhood dreams was heartfelt. Ive always wanted to race cars for a living.
This video was sick, always love the jokes and the raw emotion was absolutely welcome here! This is why we love Jeremiah!
(and have done just some informal gravel road runs with friends)
Would love to at least check out the prospect of getting into it.
All the trouble I went thru to get there was all worth it after I drop the clutch on my first race ever.
man, im new to racing and have started locally. Seeing his emotion pre race hit me, this was rad, one of the best donut vids ive seen congrats dude
14:45 real car, real race, feel ya dude, and jealous as hell. Go do it!
Congrats on the Zumiez deal guys that’s dope! Definitely getting stuff when it drops
Hell yeah I almost got so sad when he didn’t finish the race then he said he’s gonna get a second chance. This video felt special im so glad i saw him live out his dream, as this is also one of my dreams.
14:35 It's so pure life stuff when all your ambitions and gifts and heart come together in a single, actionable moment. We feel people!
Its not just the fact that it was his life dream
But the stress and all the work and COMPROMISES it took to get there... That is not his car, that is not his team, a lot of money that isnt his, so dissapointing them or braking something... To be able to work with that fear... Respect
soo proud and happy for JB! 💜
this whole video is so hype i cant tell you how long ive waited for something like this
14:36… The part where all of us who’ve sat in a race car before their first race and realized the dream is now reality… Congrats Jerry.
