Very true I was with my wife for 12 years and she would always gaslight me reactive abuse me belittle me I used to laugh it off and tell her to shape up but when I took Ill a year ago that’s when I wasn’t myself and boy did she come raining down on me I didn’t know who I was and I had no fight in me I just wanted my wife to help me through a difficult time and she didn’t she discarded me 3 weeks before my operation !! And still wanted to remain good friends i moved out and after 2 weeks a work colleague told me to look into narcissists and that’s when I went no contact and started to learn about them knowledge is power .. I found out that im an empath a strong one at that and can hold my own and I have a big heart always helping people !! She is getting no more supply from me !!! I will never talk to this women again

Can you share some clear cut signs of how to spot a narcissist quickly? I’m an empath and I struggle with people pleasing and setting boundaries and these narcs flock to me like a moth to a flame. One narc trait I noticed is they are bossy and controlling and everything is about them and even when they try to do something nice for you it’s for their benefit and to use against you to make you feel like you owe them something. I also noticed they are very passive aggressive and will make jokes at your expense. Also they try to rush relationships and use love bombing and try to buy you and they like to play the victim. I am currently with an alcoholic who lied to me about how much he drinks and I think he might be a narcissist!

Like a cat playing with a mouse until the mouse dies. Thats how my narcissist played with my heart and affection as i began to realize after 6 years something was very wrong with our relationship. She just wasnt making sense anymore and i got punished for questioning her and for not being 100% compliant. She discarded me as i went no contact with her because I hoped that she would at least make some effort in the relationship but she wouldn't. She would send me birthday cards declaring her eternal love for me and when I thought there was a chance she was changing I would want to spend time with her and she was never available. It was a sad little game with my heart and it hurt. As much as I loved the good things about her the bad things could never be fixed and would always be the same way so I had to walk away forever. I'm slowly healing and it was very hard to do but I'm glad I have done it. I'm not interested in anyone else because I don't know how to trust anyone ever again, which is sad because I don't want to spend my life alone. At least I am free of the confusion and mental anguish of being with her and she can live her choices and I can live mine.

That’s really sad. I know how you feel, though. Please leave the possibility open of a new relationship- in the future - if you do, just take it very slow. I mean VERY slow If it’s a genuine person who is not a narcissist, they’re going to move on if you have strong boundaries. There’s all kinds of red flags. I don’t know, even after all I’ve been through, I guess I’m an eternal optimist.

I’m having the same issues, I’m pretty sure I have dated or been in relationships with multiple narcissists and currently with an alcoholic that lied to me about how much he drinks and the thought of ever dating again terrifies me so have serious trust issues, I’m trying to educate myself on how to spot narcissists and toxic people in general but it’s hard because people are good at acting and as an empath I always see the good in people. I know good people exist but feel like I would never be lucky enough to encounter one!

This is so true. I was in a trauma bond with mine. The more she treated me like crap the worse I felt but still wanted her sexually. But then I’d wind up rejected. I became something disgusting to her, by which time she knew I had diagnosed a name for her that begins with N. The confusion would arise when all of a sudden she wants to catchup and go somewhere with me… basically waste my time under the guise of care… and then when I went to kiss her she pulls away as if I’m repulsive. In the end she leaves me fed up, it’s always a set up. And these people as I’ve learned thrive when they leave you messed up. And if I got upset, then I’m the problem and need to lighten up. It never ends well with a narc

It's a tragic thing that wokeology sometimes gets conflated with anticapitalism. Wokeology is actually narcissistic abuse, and capitalism, in some of their darkest forms. *I mean they/thems darkest form*.
I've never heard a valid argument in favor of capitalism. Proponents of capitalism only ever try to implement gaslighting and/or logical fallacies. Really. Try to have a sane, civil, honest conversation with any proponent of capitalism, and they'll prove my point.
