So the interior wall is all plaster over wire mesh?

No wire mesh is actually required over cob walls. The plaster can go straight onto the cob, which is really nice!

The cage forms are actually easy to build. 2x4's for the framing, and then just nail on the wire. The only challenging part is finding the right wire gauge and hole sizes. It's usually special order.

I like the brick idea, to keep moisture from splashing the bottom of the house when it rains or floods. How much did this cost?

The brick stem wall maybe cost me around $800.

A very productive way to build with cob! why the brick? In the past, the cob building has been limited by requiring a supporting roof structure like straw bale had (Pima cty az) Any news on that?

I mostly just like the brick aesthetic for the stem wall. Not required to do with brick.
