- Through a series of Natural Building Workshops in Escamequita, Nicaragua, South of San Juan del Sur, we studied several methods of using clay, sand and straw. In this video we display the technique of Light Straw Clay or Bajareque. At Centro Educativo Suelo Sano, we teach various sustainable living subjects, including permaculture, agroforestry, and natural building.
We are constructing a retreat center where we plan to hold regular spiritual retreats for teaching meditation, qigong, yoga, and healthy living.

This video features an original live performance of "El Sol No Regresa" by Luis Sabor.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing. Would be nice to see foundation and end result.
Way to go Buddy 👊🏻
It looks like you are building beautiful structures in a lovely way.
But I wonder how well this would stand up to an earthquake. It looks to me like the plaster would fall off of the wall. It looks like it needs more of a wattle lattice to hold it up
Мы также козлятник строили,только ставили опалубку из двух досок и переставляли их. Работа быстрее и качественной идёт.
This is the same thing Africans were doing (in peace) until the Europeans invaded their lands and called them barbaric and needed civilization 😂🤣😂
I tried that mix for my building. It's anything but fast, takes forever to mix small amounts.
Yes! At last someone else proving the fact that hay is as good as agricultural straw for building with in LCS. It's not straw you're using BTW.
Very true! I never worry about it, as long as its dry. Thats a great cob playlist you have there BTW, thanks for the comment.
I missed that. So hay works just as well as straw for the integrity of the structure?
Where can i find this construction? Is it still ready?
Centro Educativo Suelo Sano in Escamequita Nicaragua. We will hold more workshops there in February.
I don't have time for this
So go away and use concrete!
