That Ash is gold! Not everyone has access to it but it is very hard, low moisture, and when it burns, it smells amazing! It is my favorite wood to burn. The 261 did great! Good video guys.

The thing with clutch on the outside of the bar like Husqvarna has for a reason, here in Sweden where Husqvarna is made where there are alot of spruce, there are alot of branches to be cut so the saw roll from side to side when you cut them and center gravity is a focus on so the bar is put more to center and clutch on outside on the 560 and 550 just to make you roll the saw from side to side. Informative but yet funny. All I know any good brother would have done the trade as Alex wished like 3 times he suggested Best to be on the right side of the swap. I don’t know how I missed this video. Later my friend.
I hear ya. I have an 18" on my 545 and I would benefit from a longer bar because I cut a lot on the ground, small rounds. I like the feather weight saw and 50cc is enough for me but if i could just straighten up a little more. Not many options with 325 but I noticed in your comments someone mentioned 24 325 050, ill check that out. I noticed little sister is a lefty. Kenny

As long as it’s oiling good it looks to be a good combo. Long bar light saw works. Wish my husky 460 was as light as that 261. I switched from a 24 to an 18. The shorter bar really woke up my farm saw. To be honest it made it as fun as a farm saw can be. Hope to get a 70+cc some day. But I really don’t need it lol. Wink wink lol. Good video!
Looks like the 261 handles a 25” well! For me a 18” bar works best. I use the same cutting technique you used in the video. I think it’s the safest, but you bend over the same amount no matter the bar length. If you’re gonna use a longer bar so you don’t have to bend over as much, you need to change cutting techniques. Move to the “stand up and buck” technique. Also, I’m not the safety police by any means, but your brother really needs to watch it. Running that saw left handed makes himself even more susceptible to cutting his leg. His lead leg is on the same side as that bar which puts it a lot closer than a right handed guy. JS. Until you put on the chaps, you were running with possibly less protective gear than a Pakistani melting scrap iron on a dirt floor wearing a man-dress & safety sandals😉, but you have eye pro & full coverage footgear.👍🏼
I have a "Short-reach Pole saw" (Echo). They don't make them anymore. Too dangerous for general use i guess... Works PERFECT for what you are trying to do here... Even less power, but the Balance and Reach blows everything else out of the water... I can limb and break down smaller size wood (which ppl Should be burning) all day, with zero back issues or discomfort. Just picture a lightweight Pole Saw, where the bar is just a couple feet long.. You *could hit your boot with it, but it's actually a safer tool because you don't get exhausted and off balance using it. Love the thing 🧡 ~

I want to run this setup before doing my WCC mods and wondering if it's worth it.. plus it will be a brand new saw. Just thinking ahead. @@cappy7676 all the saw has done is a muffler mod, I don’t think it increased the performance much at all. You’d be just as fell off to run a 20 or 25” with a stock saw as with a muffler modded saw. Just be careful running the 25”, as if your pushing it to hard the clutch Will chatter. If your going to run a 25” let the saw do the work and don’t crank on it.
Any saw I purchase have dealer put on .50 3/8 sprocket so no extra charge. I purchase 100 ft roll each other year n so can run any bar on any saw n have had 16, 20, n 28 on 261 saw like the 16 for speed n in boom basket but know can put 28 on n still fall one if have to

i have a 261 put a 3/8 sprocket full skip on a 20" bar and no it dont handle as good as .325 full house ! bogg's to much! like i said i use a 261 most days advice if you wanna run a bigger bar or thicker chain spend the extra $$ because the 261 really don't handle it!

I run 20inch 3/8 full comp on my 261 with dual port muffler has no problem

Throw a 460 oiler in it and you’re good to go for 25”/28” bar
Carrying the bigger saw will make a man out of you,and get MUCH more work done
