What other alternative to not lose my libido. Like Vitamins B3 (Niacin)? Other hierb like black Maca. I want to change the Horny Goat Weed for another supplement, thanks
I've had issues due to diabetic health, I must say weight control as opposed to any exercise is key in my experience. Till recently I maintained a heavy weight for maximal strongman optimization. It wasn't till today, after several days of lean dieting and high rep training that I feel revitalized and healthier. I've had an idea that if you are fit yet fat your body prioritizes extremities blood flow instead of core blood flow. I must say thus far symptoms reveal vascular improvement which might translate to better sexual activity quality. Thank you for what you do. I find it very educational and informative to my everyday life. Sex is life I believe.
I agree with your comments about quitting smoking and limiting alcohol, but I think you are overlooking the importance of supplementation on the male diet. When I introduced zinc and D3 to my supps regime, it made a massive difference (especially during winter).

A psychological cause not mentioned in the video is porn-induced ED that otherwise healthy young men who are regular porn users suffer from. I'm 33 and I suffered from it until I quit porn use entirely after going on Nofap two years ago. My sexual health is so much better. That's not even including other things such as self confidence that have improved immensely since I quit porn usage.

great informative video on the medical causes of ED. The percentages you gave were really informative... and what is great is that the 40 % that you mention is cardiovascular is actually something most men can do something about, which is a really heartening message. :) Psychological issues like stress, performance anxiety, trauma, sleep problems etc are also big factors that can affect ED, or compound the issue where the initial cause is a medical/somatic problem.

This is an excellent video Rena Malik, it is very important to talk about this condition which is understandably a difficult and embarrassing issue to discus for many men. Speaking as a young man who has had impotence for a long time now (due to diabetes, hypertension and a past physical injury) so i know exactly how hard it can be for a man to both acknowledge and accept having this condition. Thanks to good people like yourself this is making it easier for people to open up about having erectile dysfunction and how to cope with it.

Very well done videos. I appreciate your direct approach to these sexual health issues. I noticed at the top of your list of medications that can cause erectile problems was 5- Alpha Reductace Inhibitors. I have used Propecia off and on for 20 years to control hair loss and have experienced all the related symptoms that go with using this medication. So it has been a trade off of limiting hair loss in exchange for sub par sexual performance. I'm sure that there are many men who struggle with this dilemma. Why do we do it? Because we realize that despite what we are told, men with hair are more attractive than men without it. Until they come up with a better alternative, men whos hair is sensitive to the effects of DHT can delay the inevitable by using these medications, or accept their thinning hair which is often devastating to their self esteem
Dr. Malik, your videos are very informational and professional and you break it down to easy to understand terminology. Thank you for providing your professional insights to important men's health issues. And if I may, you are a beautiful classy lady ☺️

My doctor has been absolutely crap in helping me. Put down as psychological. My concern came when my nocturnals vanished. If I take aspirin, bang, nocturnal erection comes back for that night or a few nights. This is why I feel like it’s heart/blood flow related. Doctor just shuts me down because my blood test from when it first started happening showed normal cholesterol, normal blood sugars. Only finally now after a year been referred to a urologist. This is why men don’t want to go to the doctors or talk about ED, because it never gets taken seriously.
Non-smoker, BP OK, no prostate issues, light drinker really NO health issues and not on any statins but still have ED. Nerve damage is suspected and have been using injections for seven years. I must've wore it out before 50. I wish it were only a matter of changing my diet and getting healthy- I already am healthy.
Im a 40 year old guy who looks fantastic and work out 4 -5 x per week. Ive only lately run into this issue. I take no meds. My guess is overworking and stress.
First, this page is awesome!!! So much useful information, things that guys just dont' want to or are ashamed to talk about. I have a question not related to ED, how long does a vasectomy last? I had mine about 9 years ago and it's been great!!!
Rena, I love your educational videos. With respect to the subject, after thinking about what is the best way to overcome ED, it seems to me that for chronic ED, the best answer might be a penile implant. I understand that it allows for the fastest erection and allows you to maintain the erection for as long as you want, which should please our female partners. Can you please do a comprehensive video about that alternative? Would love to know what the procedure entails and what the benefits and drawbacks might be. Thanks.
I think irritable bowel syndrome can affect errections in a negative way. Not neurologically as most would assume but simply because air gets trapped in the colon and it makes it harder to pee and affects the way you ejaculate (in my opinion).
I had a Thyroid problem so decided to stop drinking caffeinated coffee. After about three months I noted that I started to have ED.I restarted to drink caffeinated and the problem went away.
I use infrared heat therapy. Can that be done on my husband with ed? It helps to increase blood flow to my feet and legs from diabetic neuropathy. It helps ease the pain. His ed is because of blood pressure and blood pressure meds. He doesn’t have diabetes.
Have him speak with his cardiologist about the blood pressure medications to see if a different type of blood pressure medication would be suitable. Beta blockers and ACE inhibitors are known for causing ED, while some other types don't cause it. Alpha blockers can even treat high blood pressure while also treating ED and enlarged prostate issues.
@@lannamatt Losartan is an angiotensin II blocker, and can cause ED and other side effects. If it's an issue, you could ask if an alpha blocker would be appropriate as an alternate medication to manage his blood pressure.
Something I've noticed about my ED problems curious as to your thoughts. Up until September of 2017 I got strong frequent erections like any normal young man. And then I started getting very intense episodes of A-fib, to which they put me on beta blockers to help control it until I underwent a catheter ablation surgery. In September of 2017 after they put me on the beta blockers I have had significant problems with ED ever since, even though I stopped taking the beta-blockers a month after the ablation, which was about 6 months after it started. I don't understand why I still have problems and it put significant strain on my relationship and my sexual confidence ever since. I noticed that was the start of my problem, I'm genuinely curious why it persists? any advice would be much appreciated? I'm 30 years by the way this started when I was 26.
All excellent information, I've been doing everything I can naturally to keep going as long as I can. Eat very healthy, exercise, and overall take much better care of my body. Thank you Doctor.
I take Lamictal for bipolar, does that effect it at all? It's weird bc Im only 30 and I workout pretty often and eat healthy, so I wonder what's going on with my low libido.
Check with your doctor on the low libido to see if there's an underlying health condition or other medication causing it. Lamictal isn't known for causing that, but it's possible. It has the lowest chance of side effects among medications in its class, so it's generally better than alternatives.
Eight years ago I made life style changes after watching vegan videos on U Tube. The transformation was remarkable. Lost 40 pounds in less than 1 year. Every marker that was to hi came down. Everything to low came up. No pills.
This is an observational view of mine, I think in the top 3 reasons why men divorce has to do with lack of sex. That's why when and if men remarry they marry much younger women who haven't lost interest in sex due to hormone issues, or other reasons.
My personal experience- " Doing 75 Squats, 75 Calf Raises and 50 Lunges everyday (I do bodyweight exercises)" I am devastated that she didn't included finasteride and Dutesteride as causes for ed
congratulations on 1 million. I wonder if these same processes can make longer harder erections, and wonder if there is a maximum hardness and length that is healthy?
Saturated fat and red meat are good for you and don't contribute to CVD. Even the American heart association recently said intake of saturated fat has very little affect on serum cholesterol. If you want to improve your cardio vascular health, exercise and only eat whole foods. No carbs, no sugar, no seed oils.
Antidepressants definitely can cause ED. If you're having problems with that guy's there are some medications out there that work for anxiety and depression that do not cause this problem. Talk to your doctor.
Unfortunately, some doctors are lazy and just throw SSRI medications at everyone. Sometimes depression is caused by vitamin D deficiency or hormone issues like low testosterone. Treating the underlying cause works best. If that doesn't work, Wellbutrin and some other medications work on depression without causing ED. Clonidine, Guanfacine, Doxazosin, or Prazosin can treat anxiety issues without causing ED, while also being able to treat other health issues at the same time.
@@user-jo5fz8iw3b Sertraline (Zoloft) is an SSRI that can cause erectile dysfunction, loss of libido, delayed ejaculation, and other side effects of that nature. SSRI, SNRI, and other medications that increase serotonin can cause these issues. It's the dopamine boosting antidepressants that tend to not cause issues like ED. Wellbutrin is one of these. Sometimes Mirapex or Amantadine are prescribed off-label to treat depression, which are other dopamine boosting medications.
I take Metoprolol and I'm having some issues from it. I'm 38 and before taking the medication 'Metoprolol' last year I had a teenager's libido. It was like having an appetite I couldn't satisfy! Not anymore..😭
I have used sildenifil and tadalafil and both work for me. I prefer the tadalafil as the side effects are very minimal and it lasts longer. 10 mg works great for me, but it's cheaper to buy 20 mg and cut it in half with pill cutter. Honeybee Health has reasonable prices.
I did the shockwave treatment and also did the blue chew and they both didnt work. I’m 34 years old and feel like I’m too young for this to be happening to me. What else can I do? I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!! Please.
Conversely, gentlemen, if women are abusing/manipulating/exploiting you for sexual favors, the Dr. recommends eating junk food, no exercise, and take up smoking, etc.
Thank you so much Dr osaye for all your amazing hard work! Thank you for helping our community and putting yourselves on the front line to combat with the erectile dysfunction, you are truly amazing
I think a lot of it is old age I remember when I was younger sitting on the bus if it went over a bump bang there is was now it needs a weeks notice 😛😜🤪👌👏👍
I had a 2nd biopsy for Prostrate cancer about 8 years ago, i'm 65 now, I'm sure they butchered me with the 2nd one and damaged some nerves, was never the same after that. 2 years later i Had Brackytherapy (a form of Chemotherapy) to kill the cancer, all good as far as the cancer is concerned but my sex life is not what it used to be, almost non existent.
I've tried tri-mix as well, and it worked wonderfully! It lasted a couple of hours for me, and then it was much easier to perform again even a few hours later. The needles are only a quarter of an inch long, so they don't go very deep at all. The needles are also super narrow to make it even easier.
Ever since having a cystoscopy I've had Erectile dysfunction. I'm not even ejaculating when having sex, as well as other problems. SO DON'T HAVE THE PROCEDURE! And if you take blood pressure medication like me then you're in real trouble as they can also prevent you from getting an erection. I am now constantly depressed and wish I never had the procedure. Prior to that, I was as right as rain. Totally devastated.
I have used a vaccumm device and enlargment/engorgement occurred every time. The issue was that the constrictor band was painfull and the enlargment diminished rapidly after the constrictor band was removed. Using a less restrictive band reduced pain, but allowed the errection still diminished too quickly. Not a successful option for me.
Super thorough! Loved the informative post! Any comments about cabergoline or apomorphine, the latter available now in sublingual trioches??? Dr Rocket 🚀
Cabergoline has a high risk of causing heart valve damage with prolonged use. It's generally only used to treat pituitary tumors that secrete high levels of prolactin.
The only thing that has measurably worked for me is sleep, eating less (a lot less), and calisthenics. I quit the gym, eat 75% less, and do almost daily body weight/functional exercises. I lost 20 lbs, got ripped (wth? no gym!), and suddenly out of the blue... 9th grade stiffies. This is after a decade+ of trying every combination of supplements, diets, creams, and pills I could get my hands on. I wake up and my sheets are forming a tent every morning. I'm so confused. Is it possible that losing all the gym muscle allowed my T to flow to other areas?
@@robertdevoy3119 I'm 42. No wife. No kids. Eat clean, and the only supp I take is cod liver oil but I've done all that for a long time and it's never made a difference. Took about two years to lose the weight. Super slow then suddenly the last 5-8lbs melted right off. Back to what I weighed in college. I do typical garage calisthenics: Pull-Ups, dips, push-ups, air squats. various leg raises and lunges, sit-ups. Arm, shoulder and back exercises using a towel or exercise band, sand bag carries. High reps on everything Walk a few miles every other day. Honestly, I have no clue what works, I wish I knew what changed so i can keep doing it. There is, of course, the emotional and psychological trauma aspect that is unaccounted for so who knows what changed there. Stopped feeling ashamed of who I am?? Idk.
You said you wake up with stiffies. But the crucial question is can you get it up when required during the day or evening with a woman?. The reason I ask is I can get morning wood. But getting it up during the day in the company of a woman is far more difficult and far less hard.
Check with your cardiologist to see if something other than a beta blocker would treat your health issues. An alpha blocker ended up treating my high blood pressure better, plus it also treats my BPH and actually helps with erections.
I've had ED my entire, adult life (from about 20 years of age to now 50). Doctors have verified that the plumbing itself works. I've always ate very well (vegetarian who is mindful about nutrition, low sugar low salt low fat), never smoked/drank, physically fit. Viagra only worked in 50% of my trials, and the side-effects are unbearable. Maybe it's psychological. I do have a hard time maintaining mental focus.
@@usaman7358 I had considered diet, yes. And a lengthy experiment was tried early on (adding fish), without improvement. I also have friends since high-school who have had a vegetarian diet longer than I have, who do not have this issue.

Sometimes Veg diet may not work for everyone especially for anaemics. You may want to check with your DR to verify your iron or hemiglobin levels. Eating beef liver may give you good results.
I have tried pill format and get bad heart burn and chest discomfort. I have tried tri mix. I had a circumcision and was not explained with my diabetes and high blood pressure I would have this issue. After I got operated I had this issue.

So what do you say to a 69-year-old guy whose wife left him years ago after he spent his entire life working and trying to build a family? Who sent both of his kids to four-year colleges at places like, (fill in the blank high-quality collages) only to have his wife finally have no longer any interest in him because of "whatever"? Does he give up or continue especially if this 69-year-old guy still has a lot of spunk left in him? Just wondering what you would say to guys who have already lived their lives, from an objective perspective, but who are not yet ready to give up the drive? What do you say to us guys?
I don't have any issue. a calm relaxing environment is all I need. At earlier age I could do it in a war.

I noticed a similar effect with aspirin. At what dosage per day did you experience this effect?
This woman looks like a good doctor
Non-smoker, BP OK, no prostate issues, light drinker really NO health issues and not on any statins but still have ED. Nerve damage is suspected and have been using injections for seven years. I must've wore it out before 50. I wish it were only a matter of changing my diet and getting healthy- I already am healthy.
Understand wat u mean bro in the same boat as u
How are you now?
What injections did you use?
What an energetic, passionate and intelligent woman.
I had mine about 9 years ago and it's been great!!!
your pivotal manner got me pushing on to cure my ED 🗽📷
Rena, I love your educational videos. With respect to the subject, after thinking about what is the best way to overcome ED, it seems to me that for chronic ED, the best answer might be a penile implant. I understand that it allows for the fastest erection and allows you to maintain the erection for as long as you want, which should please our female partners. Can you please do a comprehensive video about that alternative? Would love to know what the procedure entails and what the benefits and drawbacks might be. Thanks.

Looking at Dr Reena is enough for me to get it up honestly.
I think irritable bowel syndrome can affect errections in a negative way. Not neurologically as most would assume but simply because air gets trapped in the colon and it makes it harder to pee and affects the way you ejaculate (in my opinion).
Also, if you have to pass gas or poop all the time, you're not going to be able to relax enough to get an erection.
Bro how did you overcome?
@@LalmuanaSanga I didn't, but I think IBS is in reality SIBO 99% of the time. Bad bacteria are fermenting our food which is causing all the symptoms.
I can confirm bad gut will affect your erections - I've been suffering from a bout recently.
@@dcooper1535 Thank you so much. Really appreciated.
@@dcooper1535 He’s on Losartan, 100mg. Was 50mg.
@@lannamatt Losartan is an angiotensin II blocker, and can cause ED and other side effects. If it's an issue, you could ask if an alpha blocker would be appropriate as an alternate medication to manage his blood pressure.
@@dcooper1535 Tyso much. I appreciate the help. 🙂
My husband has ED due to BPH, a TURP procedure didn’t help.
I've used a pump, but had to use a ring at the base to keep it up.
I also had catheter ablation therapy at age 60. I am 72 now and have ED. Would be interested if you find out about any relationship between the two.
Herbs from Dr emuakhe on UA-cam will replace your lost glory.just hear from him.he did it for me and Same herbs can help you as well
Taking Nattokinase, a clot-busting enzyme, cured my ED. No joke!
Rena is always cutting edge with her tips!
My personal experience- " Doing 75 Squats, 75 Calf Raises and 50 Lunges everyday (I do bodyweight exercises)"
I am devastated that she didn't included finasteride and Dutesteride as causes for ed
What do those squats and lunges do?
This is anecdotal evidence but I've got a similar experience.
DHT blockers hurt libido in the long run. Since DHT is necessary for decent erectile health, this should be obvious.

Thats because you are the best person. Dr Rena .
congratulations on 1 million. I wonder if these same processes can make longer harder erections, and wonder if there is a maximum hardness and length that is healthy?
I believe maximum length for the health of most women is 9 inches. Hardness should not exceed that of oak.
You are simply the best, Dr. Rena Malik ❤
Please how can I get the product since I was born I have been having the problem which I don't know what to do about it
Antidepressants definitely can cause ED. If you're having problems with that guy's there are some medications out there that work for anxiety and depression that do not cause this problem. Talk to your doctor.
I would never take that garbage. Why are there so many weak people nowadays complaining about depression. Bunch of girly men.
Is Sertraline one of them??
@@user-jo5fz8iw3b Sertraline (Zoloft) is an SSRI that can cause erectile dysfunction, loss of libido, delayed ejaculation, and other side effects of that nature. SSRI, SNRI, and other medications that increase serotonin can cause these issues.
It's the dopamine boosting antidepressants that tend to not cause issues like ED. Wellbutrin is one of these. Sometimes Mirapex or Amantadine are prescribed off-label to treat depression, which are other dopamine boosting medications.
@@dcooper1535 thank you !!👍😉
I take Metoprolol and I'm having some issues from it. I'm 38 and before taking the medication 'Metoprolol' last year I had a teenager's libido. It was like having an appetite I couldn't satisfy! Not anymore..😭
The sildenifil isn't working as well as it used to. I wish I knew why. Unfortunately, the side effects are working.
Please.
It happened to me this past weekend which was disappointing for both me and my female friend 😔
Conversely, gentlemen, if women are abusing/manipulating/exploiting you for sexual favors, the Dr. recommends eating junk food, no exercise, and take up smoking, etc.
Blue chew costs way more then just going to a doctor and getting a prescription for tadalafil or sildenafil
Yep. I buy from Honeybee Health in California for much better pricing. And there are even cheaper alternatives, but they are shipped from overseas.
I am learning so much with watching your videos . Thank you so much for sharing this amazing source of information. This one is quite helpful.

The tri-mix stuff is really cool! I actually enjoyed the needles - they really aren't that bad.
how long will one injection last?
How deep do you have to inject?
I've tried tri-mix as well, and it worked wonderfully!
It lasted a couple of hours for me, and then it was much easier to perform again even a few hours later.
The needles are only a quarter of an inch long, so they don't go very deep at all. The needles are also super narrow to make it even easier.
@@dcooper1535 did it make it harder or easier to finish? Or no difference?
@@BenNawrath No difference. Everything worked perfectly. It was able to stay usable longer after finishing, which was a nice bonus.
Now I have a firm understanding of this issue…
Lol u F ?
No pun intended lol
@@josephromero4585 None!
Is there any side effects of taking pills on a long term use ??
Thank you Doctor, I have learned a lot from your videos and I have to say with all due respect you are super 🔥
How do I get rid of Ed all together now what I got to do to fix this problem I have ED problem for overs 5yr now
The only thing that has measurably worked for me is sleep, eating less (a lot less), and calisthenics.
How old are you and what exercises are you doing?

An alpha blocker ended up treating my high blood pressure better, plus it also treats my BPH and actually helps with erections.
this ED thing calls for a monstrous portion of forward planning, spectacular!
I have ED...at this moment my ED is totally solveb....For that I had maintained some exercise and medication....
Did you ever stop to consider that maybe the vegan eating is the culprit? Have you been Vegan for the last 30 years?

Sometimes Veg diet may not work for everyone especially for anaemics. You may want to check with your DR to verify your iron or hemiglobin levels. Eating beef liver may give you good results.
I have tried pill format and get bad heart burn and chest discomfort. I have tried tri mix. I had a circumcision and was not explained with my diabetes and high blood pressure I would have this issue. After I got operated I had this issue.

Who sent both of his kids to four-year colleges at places like, (fill in the blank high-quality collages) only to have his wife finally have no longer any interest in him because of "whatever"? Does he give up or continue especially if this 69-year-old guy still has a lot of spunk left in him?
