Daily Training - 5/3 - 2 FAST Couplets: HS walk/DL, then Thruster/Sandbag!! Goal = Intensity!

  • Goal today was to do short/quick/intense. I've been doing a lot more longer/higher volume, but starting to taper down now for the official start of Semi's next Wednesday!
    A pair of couplets with about 15-20 minutes between efforts was on the board.
    WOD 1:
    40' handstand walk
    15 deadlifts at 225lbs
    40' handstand walk
    10 deadlifts at 225lbs
    40' handstand walk
    5 deadlifts at 225lbs
    40' handstand walk
    Time: 3:36
    WOD 2:
    21 thrusters at 95lbs
    9 sandbag to shoulder at 150lbs
    15 thrusters at 95lbs
    6 sandbag to shoulder at 150lbs
    9 thrusters at 95lbs
    3 sandbag to shoulder at 150lbs
    Time: 5:13
    #2 definitely hurt me more!

      Thank you Andrew! I picked that little gem up in vendor village at the Games circa 2018. CrossFit had just partnered with Strauss Meats and they were giving them away. Def one of my favorites!
