It has been a while since doing some fishing. This will combine both activities for me. Catch and release for the fish here for me. I don’t intend to eat any out of this lake.

That net is some positive thinking. Your set up looks great. A small stool would be great. I have seen some ebike friendly small fold up stools. My problem is that I cannot bend that low for sitting. I would need a bar stool! LOL

Russ, we gotta talk about some different fishing tactics. We'll have ya catching them before ya know it. On ebike, casting and reeling artificials is the perfect way. Using live bait makes things a little more difficult.
I usually fish Lake Michigan to catch Salmon and Brown Trout.

Agreed. Too many people fishing Busse, but there aren't a whole lot of choices. There's also Skokie Lagoons, but even that is over fished. My overall preference is Lake Michigan for King and Coho Salmon, Brown Trout, etc, but it's too far for me to ride a bike.
Great idea, I tried using PVC srinkler pipes.
The rod holder is essentially PVC pipes with a slot for the reel. I thought about using PVC piping too but remembered that is is already done commercially. I put an Amazon link in the description of the video of the same item. It is less expensive on Amazon than at Bass Pro Shops.
When I go fishing all of my items fit into my bags. Folding items include the fishing rod and chair. They fold up pretty small. the folding fishing pole isn't quite as good as my regular fishing rod but it fits in my bags so it is good enough. I haven't caught a fish yet using that pole, but it is probably cause I just fish for 30 minutes then move on. It is more of a rest break from biking. Also, I could be just a terrible fisherman.

Very nice, looks like a good solution. Are there any bathroom facilities or anything there? You may just be able to charge your bike at some place like that rather than getting a second battery. I’ve never had a second battery for the Engwe, but I always figure I’d just stop at Starbucks for a bit to charge if it didn’t seem like I was going to make it on a long ride. I guess if they gave it to you for free, that works, but if you have a plug around there or are willing to sit at Starbucks for a bit, you could bring most any bike.
No place to plug in out there.

Too bad your Costco isn’t set up like the one I go to (I’m in Florida). That Costco’s food court is outdoors, right by the parking lot. I can ride up, order, and eat food without ever leaving my bike. :)

No room. I think the best thing if a second battery is gone is to put it on the rear rack and move the tackle to the front rack.
