Love the neighborhoods you ride through. Those square laid out streets and non-gated communities are wonderful. You are really lucky to have those.
Proper blood pressure is taking it relaxed, your arm level with your heart, use your left arm, the cuff 1" away from the crease in your arm, the hose lined up with the center of your arm crease, only 1 layer of cuff below the hose.
I'd recommend the $84 OMRON Platinum Blood Pressure Monitor.
Russ, maybe you should buy a new BP monitor.
How old am I? I grew up in East Saint Louis IL when it was a good place to live. We had alleys. The trucks picked up ashes/unburned material from burn barrels. Yeah, it stunk during the evenings when homeowners were burning trash. I don't miss that. Putting the buckets out to the curb every week is a blessing!
In some towns where people have money, tear down houses and build "McMansions".

My wife and i ride in las vegas. We have red rock canyon, lake Mead and Mount Charlston 5,000 to 10,000 ft elevation nearyby and the scenery is mesmerizing. Shame on us for not taking the time to load up our bikes and ride these places and so many other ones. We just ride the neighborhoods like you do because its easy and quick to do. Pull out of the garage and pull back in when done. Easy pee.
In SW Florida our temperature for this week average is 94/74 and sunny with a UV index that would turn you purple in 15 minutes at the beach.
Got to try several bikes at the bike shop and having the handle bars turned toward you sure makes a difference in comfort taking that pressure off your arms.
Totally agree with you. I just added an adjustable riser to my fat tire philodo h7 and lifting up my handlebar and toward me was awesome. It's like riding a beach cruiser now. My wife loved it so much she ordered one too.

To solve your bp readings issue, take your cuff to your next Dr. appointment. Do a comparison. If yours is off. Replace it. It’s probably an issue on how you take your pressure at home compared to the Dr.s office. Maybe you have “ white coat relaxation syndrome “. 😷

We checked out the Bikeroo saddles because you were so high on them but, unfortunately...we got the harder ones so...we sent them back.
13 saddles later...we're still looking for a good, cushy saddle.

It’s been so hot here in Florida we would need to ride early. It’s even warmer in the middle of the night
I want to get to 215 to 220 but today I haven't eaten anything yet and my suger went from 150 to 180 with in the last hour. I did forget to take my med's yesterday. I have 2 batteries for my bike now so I want to ride more so hopefully the sugar will go down. what your average ride length. I am from South Carolina at the bottom of the blue ridge mountain range. There not any plantation houses but do have fixed up 2 story farm houses. There also new houses that are like the old farm houses. I am also a little bit warmer than you are we hit low 90s already.
I will usually do at least 12-15 miles on average. But the long trips can take me to 25 miles. Busse Woods usually means at least 24 miles.
