Daily exercise is key to as healthy life. Ride a bicycleto school, work or for fun.
Riding a bicycle is a great way to exercise. Ebikes are bringing many older adults back to cycling.
Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles. Safe protected bike lanes and trails are needed so adults and children can ride safely. Speak up for bicycles in your community. Bicycles make life and cities better. Ask your local transportation planner and elected officials to support more protected bike lanes and trails. Children should be riding a bicycle to school and not be driven in a minivan. Be healthier and happier. Ride a bicycle regularly.
I use my local weather app and check the radar. I ride in the rain, so don't really care, but I can sometimes plan my rides by the opening in the radar rain patterns. In the last couple of weeks, I've completely avoided getting wet, while it was raining all around me.
One of the things I have learned while riding an e-bike, just because everything you look at says it isn't going to rain doesn't mean it won't rain. Two days ago I checked the weather and said it had a 20% chance of rain and then I looked at the sky and there were some fluffy clouds lazingly floating by but mostly blue. So I planned a trip, jumped on my bike, and started my trip to the Forest. About halfway there, some dark clouds started forming to the north. After a few more minutes I could see some lightning flashes but couldn't hear any thunder. 10 minutes later I was in the middle of a thunderstorm and I'm thinking; "How did this happen?"
🤣 Things happen.
Yeah, I don’t try to ride in the rain, but it can certainly happen on any given warm day. Over Spring Break I was with my family and the forecast was clear until the overnight hours (this was 5 pm or so), so we hiked up a big hill to see a basilica at the top, and as we neared the top, this thunderstorm blew in that absolutely soaked us, pelted us with hail, and was scary to be in up on top of a hill with some close lightning strikes. Chance of rain on the app for that hour: 0%. The app didn’t say there was ANY chance of rain until 6+ hours later. If they could miss that hail storm, they can miss anything.
Hey Russ curious as to the fastest speed you've gone on an ebike?
Probably around 31 or 32 mph on the Engwe X24.
I hope Pray That Nobody Was Hurt Or Injured, My Brothers And Sisters, And My Friend Russ🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Nobody was hurt.

Motorcycle was mesmerized by your bike.....
Russ... Do you still get asked about not stopping at stop signs? Here in Oregon we have the bikes yield law.
Yes, comments always come in about that.
@@RussIsRight I used to get that comment lots but now I make sure I come to a complete stop 99% of the time.
@oregonebikermark8953 Yeah, I notice that you do stop. I just don’t like hopping off the bike all the time. My saddle is quite high based on how I like to pedal and so stopping means to hop off. If I kept my saddle very low, I might not need to hop off but then I would not get the knee benefit I need for my replaced knee. Buying an ebike was always about fixing my knee more than anything else.
@@RussIsRight Understandable. I find it hard to control the bike when almost stopped (bike wobbles).
Ha ha ha...you Outlaw....😂😅
OMG…the scooters here. They zip past everybody. Weave in and out of pedestrians. And people complain about e-bikes. Between errands, an appointment and a later recreational ride, I did 30 miles on my Vélo yesterday. Single charge battery went down to 38%.
I like Honda motorcycles vs. Harley. Quieter motor and smoother ride. I understand that some areas that have had a lot of ground disturbed (like a newer subdivision) or an area with fewer trees will have fewer cicadas. I live in a town NW of Russ and we don't have many cicadas. But more potholes, esp. NW highway! Thank you for the ride.
Ebike manufacturer should upgrade lights and add turn signals
Hey Russ,
Sorry you had to keep your ride so short. I was watching one of your videos from, I believe, around 11 months ago. You were reviewing a HiPeak 20in. bike. Your face looked fuller and you seemed a bit short of breath at times. I think you said your weight was about 260 or so in that video. You look more fit now and no shortness of breath. Great job Russ on the weight loss. I have lost a good amount of weight over the years also. I'm 5'11" and at my heaviest, I was 370. I'm at 231 now. I want to get down to at least 200. I'm breathing better also. I may get an ebike in the future but with my back, I'll have to get a seat with a backrest.
Take care...Steve.
Thanks. Yes, I was 268 then. All time high was 289. Today I am 233. I am 5’10”. I hope to drop more as well. Good job on your weight loss too!
Great ride...Great video!
Does your front brake pad make a noise when you use it? I wonder if that’s kinda normal m! My pad makes same noise of yours . . I think I hear noise on yours.
Yes
@@RussIsRightok, thank you! I purchased my first E-bike yesterday everything operates great except noise in the front pad when I activate it. Have a good day.
@@RussIsRightI’m also 63 so I think that’s another reason why YT sent me your video. lol.
Congrats on your new ebike. You will have a blast. Russ is an excellent youtuber to watch.
Yes, for us in Florida the weather has been up and down. Last week, it was almost 96 when we finished a ride. This week, it was only 89 when we reached the end of the ride.
I got caught in a thunderstorm once. Not a fun thing to do.
Hey Russ, there's a road you typically go on (after crossing a major intersection with the light) where the road doesn't have a bike lane and the cars maneuver past you to the left. This is where your future Wired Crusier can come in handy👍You can throttle and go 35 mph to compete with the cars or whatever the road's speed limit is then merge to the left to make your turn up the road. Yes, I have my typical routes too😂You won't worry about the range bc of the 2 batteries. I'll envy you bc you'll receive your Wired prototype before me as my order has been delayed until late July. Looking forward to your future Wired rides!
We will have to wait and see when the review bike will come in.
❤my lec tric
Tuning in for the daily cicada report! We are not hearing any yet in our area but in past years we have had tons of them. So noisy. And no, I do not think they are cute!
Not cute!
Just had a TORNADO SIREN go off in ROCK COUNTY on the WI/IL state line while watching 👀 you're videos are great RUSS
Stay safe!
trying to by an engwe mt20 thru your channel but codeword not being accepted. it is on sale for $200 off; is that why?
What is an MT 20? But most likely if it is already on sale, they probably will not allow a secondary discount.
