I'm coming to you from the Netherlands so excuse my Dutchy English. I enjoy all the inspiration in the worldwide knitting community so much. I would love to share my 'handwerk perikelen' (also known as crafty adventures) with you.
This is my last episode before my summer break. I decided to spend my summer offline and enjoy my loved ones, slow and simple camping life and lots of handwerk time. I wish you a few lovely weeks too and see you later. I don't know exactly when but you will see me appear on UA-cam & Instagram. Do not forget to do enough heart jumping things 🤎

Great projects that you are taking on vacation. Love your crochet ventures. The colours are lovely. Will miss your regular podcasts, but summertime business has me behind on many podcasts, so a break is ok. I had my three daughters and their families home over the last few weeks, so my heart has been jumping a lot and my heart is full. So wonderful to have time together with 3 of my 5 children and 5 of my 11 grandchildren. No knitting happened. 😱 Today, my house is so quiet, apart from the washing machine humming away as I wash all the sheets and towels and tidy up. I am on the last few rows of the button band on my Corran Cardigan and am really excited to have it done. I am also knitting the Lotus Lake socks by Aninina and am in love with the lace pattern using a lovely tonal violet colored yarn. Knitting bliss is helping me fill the quiet while I catch up on a few podcasts. Happy camping!

Sarah, you are so cute. I used to go camping a lot with my niece, nephews and grandchildren. So many wonderful memories. I am physically unable to camp anymore. Enjoy. It is your time to unwind, reconnect with yourself, and get your priorities in order. Sometimes when you commit to too many things, you lose that. I will miss you. I hope you share lots of memories when you do come back. 💕🌄🏕️

Hello Sarah... I just love your podcasts. I look forward to them. Im so glad you're going on a vacation (holiday). You've earned it. Also. Your daughters crochet toys are wonderful. I'm impressed. I mostly knit. But I am wanting to make a granny square throw for my couch. You have inspired me. The problem is. I have arthritis in my left hand crocheting is painful where knitting is not. It was interesting hearing about your sister and her connection to Uganda. My husband and I spent 2 summers in Soroti, Uganda and grew to love some of the people and places there. One of the things we did was spend time with a Dutch lady who ran an orphanage for children with AIDS. We loved being able to help her and learned so much about her work and mission there.

I love your projects, I also like both knittibg and crochet (crochet is my first love). I get such a kick (meaning I think it is so cute and funny) how you say it makes your heart jumping. I think it may come from what we usually say it "made my heart leap". Now don't stop saying that. It is so cute.

I dont function when its hot either. Its 87 degrees (F). I think what you’re talking about with the phone is digital detox. I have been trying to eliminate distractions because of sensory overload. I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family.
