I love your new jumper…excited to see the one with colors stripes. I get such a heart jumping listening to you talk about crochet and knitting!!! Your excitement is contagious!!! You made my day Sarah 🤗 thank you for another joyful podcast! 🤩 I could listen to you for hours while I am knitting and you really made me wanting to try to crochet granny squares ☺️
I actually don’t mind weaving in ends, so I’m okay. We can tell your having fun and that is what is attractive and engaging about your podcasts. You are my absolute favorite podcast and I’ve watched all the English ones you’ve made. Please don’t stop - you make my day!
Granny sq are my favorite too! I find it the most relaxing form of yarn making. This jumper the perfect combination of my favorite stitch and a garment. I usually don’t like crocheted garments. I will definitely be making this in short shelve too. ❤. Your channel is my most favorite of all on utube! Thank you
Hi Sarah, I just found your podcast and I don’t know how I didn’t before … you are such a lovely and happy person and I absolutely love your happy disposition. I looove watching all of your projects and I also love both knitting and crocheting. I have just started a little podcast and I did for the same reason you just mentioned … I looooove crocheting and knitting and loooove sharing it with everyone … it makes me so happy. You are so personable and so lovely and After watching you I’m so motivated to continue my crochet and knitting journey … thank you so much for being so lovely … watching you made my day.
I am a fairly new subscriber and I am in LOVE with you and your content. You are so joyous and always find fun in everything, that’s my style..lol. You really made me laugh. Your brown crocheted top is sooooooo cute, cant wait for more episodes. 🥰🤗🤗🤗🧶🧶🌸🌸🌸 🇨🇦
So delighted to have found you. I knitted, obsessively and joyfully, for 35 years and considered crochet a lesser craft. In the past five years or so I have been converted to a real crocheter, thanks to UA-cam. I love Tunisian crochet and I think you would too. Tunisian mosaic especially.
Also, I’m just like you. I start and restart projects as many times as necessary. I go up and down on needle/hook sizes and experiment with as many technique variations as possible. It’s a matter of pride that I get it as right as I can. BUT, I never opt to knit English, unless I’m doing stranded knitting. I too love the rhythm of continental knitting, but I am a “firm” knitter, and purl the wrong way only when I need the stitch to hang backwards on the needle when I come back on the next (right side) row to knit the the back loop, as in ssk, except no need to ss.
You're so funny,Sarah.Chicken breasts?😂 .. Here in 🐨🌏it's " chicken wings" 😉Love your chat and crochet tip to start granny stripe blanket with a larger hook.👌xx
Thank you for spreading the heart-jumping joy 💗 You are so "contagious" with your enthusiasm and I look forwards to Monday and Friday and my time with you and your podcast🧶
Hi Sarah, I just love how open and honest you are, you make me laugh and your joyfulness is so contagious! I did notice that you say “making an appointment with…” and I believe what you mean is an “agreement” or “pact.” Lots of ❤ from Australia
Sarah!!! I almost fell out of my chair laughing at “chicken breasts”!!!! 😂😂😂 I call those my “bat wings”. (I think that might be a more common expression in the USA). But chicken breasts is so funny and actually makes a lot of sense. I’m going to call this part of my arms chicken breasts from now on. 😄.
Hi Sarah, I just began to watch your episodes (from France) after Amy Palko mentionned your youtube channel on her podcast and I am so happy I did. I was looking for lovely sweater patterns in crochet and here I am. I knit a lot but I want to return to crochet these times. I absolutely love your esthetics and the way you talk about your crafting, it's a joy ! oh I want to mention your project pages on ravelry are so beautiful ! Thank you !
You always make my heart jump when I see your beautiful smile!! When your music comes on, my sweet husband of 60 years (yes, that is six zero years!! Haha) comes running. He love your podcasts too, and he is an “old” Air Force fighter pilot. We lived in Germany for 7 years and your words are quite similar to German. I feel so comfy when watching you!! I wish we could meet in person one day! Hugs and ❤ Angela
I just ran across your last video before this one. I have watched several since you have such good energy. I first learned to crochet granny squares when I was about 10 years old and made my first afghan. So many years ago wow. I still love them. It's nice to see there's more crochet garment patterns now. Your finish is beautiful and looks great on you. I might have to do more crocheting again I'm a multi crafter cross stitch, rug hooking, and a quilter. I look forward to the next video.
Hi Sarah, Your episodes are always fun and entertaining. I am in North Yorkshire, England and we call them "bingo wings" I don't go to the gym either. ❤
I love your new jumper. And I have never liked the look of crochet on a garment before! I English we say we take a sweater off, rather than putting it out. Have a wonderful week!
awww I adored this and it is full of your joyful freeeeeee insights on self and process and I feel heartened and braver and I truly thank you new friend. With love and fuzz, Samira 🧶
Hi Sarah 👋 You have a such a positive attitude about the different struggles of hand work( knitting/crochet). I look forward to your podcasts! The summer T you just finished in crochet is stunning on you! I will keep it in mind for future cast ons! 😊
Hello Sarah. I really love your granny jumper and the mix of crochet and knitting ribbing. Beautiful ❤ in french we say ”ailes de poulet” - chicken wings. Have a nice week 😊
I love all your crochet talk! Currently I'm joining as I go, joining squares for my Granny Square Blanket. It's so therapeutic! There is an option for the first row of a crochet blanket, instead of chains. It's called Foundation single crochet stitch or Foundation double crochet stitch. There are tutorials on UA-cam, which I found super helpful when I was starting my Granny Stripe blanket.
Oh, Sarah, you are so funny!! You made me laugh a lot with this podcast. I love your simplicity, your sense of humor and your knitting. The tee you're wearing is beautiful and its brown colour looks very nice on you. I also love neutral, natural colours for my clothes. See you next Friday! 🥰
Sarah, I love you UA-cam podcasts. I am watching one right now but I don't know what number. You were talking about knitting dish clotths and pot holders because we cook in pots with lids. It is best if you knit them in100% cotton. For pot holders, you should either double the yarn or make 2 and stitch them together so they are a double thickness., If you use a synthetic yarn, the heat is too much and they will melt. Please be careful when using pot holders. I love to listen to you. You are so sweet.
Persuading yourself that you love doing something you actually don’t really is a fantastic way to approach and take on life. I love your way of thinking.
The crochet summer top/tee is very lovely! I must consider that pattern for myself. Thank you for answering/demonstrating the answer about weaving in the ends on your granny squares.
Sarah thank you for another lovely podcast Episode. You are the reason I start chrocheting again. My current projekt is a Battenberg Blanket. And each morning starts with a cup of coffee and a few squares and the evening ends with a few squares. I also need somethhing good for the night. In Germany we call it 'Betthupferl'. I don't know if there's a english word for it. I would explain it as 'goodies for the night'. And by the way, I am sewing in the ends while I'm watching podcasts.
Hi. What a wonderful inspiration is this little crochet-tee!! I have some Holst Coast in my stash und I want want want start such a beautiful tee... but I have to be reasonable! Regine, stay hard! You have so much WIPs -surely about 10 - which want to be done. Oh, a knitters live is hart when you have to go working 8-10 hours a day and have so less time for your crafting. I envy you. Thanks for another great podcast! By the way in German the double crochets are called "Stäbchen" and I'm also confused by the UK or USA terms. Stay well! Greetings from Germany, Regine.
Burnt chicken breasts lol lol! Love all your makes! The sweater top is gorgeous! When I do granny squares I start the next row in different spot then crochet over the ends of previous row. Cant wait to see your granny cardi or pullover finished! Blessings
I love your sweater! What a funny saying! 😂 chicken breasts on your arm! Thirty minutes after twelve is twelve thirty (12:30). I use to wait up for my kids too. I too have an “on button” in the morning! Wide awake at 6:00 a.m. as soon as the sun comes up.
There's lots of conundrums ( words meaning the same and they're also called pun's.) They're fun. As kids we used to sit around the table and play a game we called 'punning' you chat and listen to the chat, commenting in pun's, only.
I love your podcasts 🤎 your very talented & you make every episode Fun 😊 your mix of knitting & crochet is brilliant 🥰 but most of all I love that you can speak two languages your use of words is so funny 🤣🤣 here in the uk when we use the word backside it means your bottom 😂🤣
All those pillows look gorgeous, would love to know more about them :) Thank you for sharing your love for all things granny square. It is truly a special stitch!!
I love how you say the differences between your language and english, I'm Afrikaans so many english ppl say hook, crochet hook, we call it hekel pen. Knitting needle we say brei naalde.
I feel the same way! I love knit garments better but on the odd chance I crochet a garment I always knit the ribbing. I recently made the Kristi cardi which is a crochet pattern but I knit the sleeves!
I love hearing about your trials with starting a project over because you never read the directions or say.. oh.. it'll be fine... because I 100% do this too!!
Oh my goodness you always make me laugh I was laughing out loud when you talked about your “chicken breasts” 😂 I think I have legs of lamb 😂 love your crochet top ❤
Sarah, watching your episodes makes my heart jump! I couldn't stop laughing today. You're right, English speakers are a bit lazy! HA! You are an inspiration! Thank you, for sharing ❤
And the white leg situation from the previous episode, we also call them melk bottels in a "making fun" kind of way lol my melk bottels are almost florescent lol! And it's a weird thing in summer here in South Africa because we have very very very hot summers. Guess I'm just weird lol
I do my ends the exact same way you do. Always seems to hold up. I can truly see the pure joy in your eyes when you talk about your knitting and crochet.❤❤
Haha "chicken breasts" - in the UK we call them "bingo wings" because they flap around when you shout "Bingo!" if you win and wave to let everyone know🤣🤣
What you call chicken wings is what I call bingo wings. Bingo a game that is based on numbers on a card. When a number is drawn, and if that number is on your card, you place something on it. If you get five numbers in a row, vertically, horizontally, or diagonally and you shout Bingo! Of course you raise our arm and wave it. thus the fat under the upper arm waves. Yes, bingo wings!
Hello your videos are lovely may be you can have some tutorials as well you can teach us your crochet and your knitting projects it will be fun thank you for your videos good day
Hello I knit and crochet as well I like to talk about my project as well my husband doesn’t like to talk about my knitting or crocheting so is brith Trish air. To listen to you good day
Language is so interesting. A “ventilator” in the USA is something you are put on the patient in the hospital because you have COVID and cannot breathe.
Twice a week I enjoy laughing with you and hearing about your crafty adventures. I am currently knitting a tee called “Saoirse” by Libby Johnson and I know you will like it as it has a deep scoop neckline. Check it out, your heart will jump.
I love it, your videos make me smile. So I am wondering, we are Americans living in the Netherlands, and I enjoy hearing Dutch sayings, so would you call your underarm "chicken breasts" 'kippenborsten' in Dutch?
Wow! Me gusta mucho!!! I like your jumper a lot! 😉 Great job! Love your “chats” you’re funny, chicken breasts yaaaassssss. Don’t like them either 😊 How do I show you my finished Low rider, IF I make it? Happy knitting/ crocheting, Ciao!
I just finished watching Episode 86 and I saw that you had the sock that you had in progress on the wooden form. What is the purpose of that. I have been knitting socks for 50+ years and I only became aware of these forms in the last year or so. Of cours, most of the socks I make are for men to wear in thier work boots. I use 4 ply worsted weight wool. I live in Northern Maine next to the Canadian border and the men in my family work in the woods and it is very cold. I also make socks for women and children and I would appreciate it if you can enlighten me as to the use of the wooden form.
You are so sweet! I just love when you talk about your heart jumping. Thank you for taking the time to make these beautiful podcasts. ❤ from 🇨🇦

Haha "chicken breasts" - in the UK we call them "bingo wings" because they flap around when you shout "Bingo!" if you win and wave to let everyone know🤣🤣

Chicken breast 😂 I call them pelican wings 😅
