- Welcome to my knitting podcast in English 🤎!
I'm coming to you from the Netherlands so excuse my Dutchy English. I enjoy all the inspiration in the worldwide knitting community so much. I would love to share my 'handwerk perikelen' (also known as crafty adventures) with you.

Hi Sarah! I love your esthetics, brown and warm natural shades are also my favourite colours. I don't feel well in blue or bright colours. I was inspired by your Ariana cardigan, and I have started crocheting my own, modifying it to fit my body shape better. I watched your latest episode last night, and one of the first things I thought of when I woke up today, was that you said you soaked your garment in dishwashing liquid. Dishwashing liquid is designed to remove all the grease and protein from dirty dishes. Wool is a natural material, like hair, and soaking it in dishwashing liquid will remove all it's natural grease (lanolin) and spoil the protein in the wool fibers, making it brittle and dead. In my experience, soaking it in hot water and wool soap will remove the spinning oil from the wool. Have a nice day! :)
I just love you! I feel happier after I watch your podcasts.💗
@sarahlovesdonuts Yes that's absolutely So true, Sarah certainly makes you feel so much better after watching her, Such a Lovely comment💖
So right!!! I am “happy person” after Sarah’s podcast 😄
Yay! I'm second! (It makes my ❤ jump - LOL!) Sarah....Your beautiful new sweater vest looks perfect.....PERFECT! You lamented the placement of your buttons. I was thinking how cool that you somehow spaced them in between your dress buttons. The bottom button closure looks nice where it is....the little ^ upside down "V" provides visual interest. What? You think that is not good? Well....I think you are happy with it now which is very good. And, regarding the fact that the vest buttons are different from your dress buttons....the Knit Police do not care. (ha ha) It is a very nice design element. It is beautiful. 🤩
Always look forward to watch you mondays and Fridays
You can say" put a tick mark" which can be any mark? a check, dot, dash line, an x. A "tick" mark encompasses any number of marks 😊. I so love watching and learning from you 😊
I saved that cardigan pattern because how you have it is so cute, buttons and all! Change if you must but let me encourage you it looks great! I love the little playful opening at the bottom.
I bought the Corran cardigan because of your informative videos on it and I am DEFINITELY a v neck person with my tops and vests and cardigans. We call it 'twisting' the yarns to turn it into the mini skein. It's Sunday in Australia and i am going to make grannies. Thank you again and bye bye. 👋
Love your finished corran vest -looks great! And those beautiful mni skeins look like a bunch of colourful flowers... so pretty.
I love your sleeveless version of the Corran Cardigan and want to copy the idea. I have the pattern but have been putting off starting it because I’m having a hard time getting gauge and therefore need to knit a larger size and have worried I won’t have enough yarn. I’m also on the fence about drop shoulder sleeves on me. The sleeveless version solves both problems. Yay! Thanks for the inspiration. 😊
I can’t believe I missed commenting. Your Corran Cardigan is beautiful! I need to wind my leftover yarn into minis, they are so cute!
I received a winder and swift for Christmas this past year. I didn’t realize that you could also use the swift for winding. Thank you.
Your project journal is fantastic! Would love to know more about your process, what you keep track of in the journal and when etc. Looking for a good analog system. 😁 First time viewer and really enjoyed your relaxed style, especially the imperfect drawings! 💚🧶☕️
THANK YOU SARAH FOR SHARING YOUR WONDERFUL KNITTING 🧶 ❤ SEE YOU FRIDAY …..😊
I love the Corran cardigan "vest", it's beautiful. I have put that one on my list. I call that wooden umbrella a swift, such lovely gifts full of happiness.
Your cardigan is a beautiful colour and so versatile. Hope you have a happy week. 🇬🇧
Thank you Sarah for demonstrating your blocking technique ❤
Beautiful Vest Sarah...Lovely Podcast Thank You 🧡
Lovely cardigan
Hi Sarah, Happy Monday to you too. Ive been knitting on a Love Note in Drops Belle, colour Off White. And i am doing quite a lot of plant shifting in the garden. I will give my extra plants away to whoever wants it. Much love xxx
It's called an umbrella swift. Not all Swifts are umbrella shaped, but always a yarn swift! Loved your videos of doing project page and making mini-skeins. ❤️
I also purchased my blocking mats from the hardware store! 4 big/set for $7. And yes more $ for yarn 😊 your Corran vest looks wonderful. You inspire so many ideas. I’m starting a project book too. Thank you for all the time you share with us ❤
Hello Sarah! Lovely podcast, as always. I’m short too, so I keep a sturdy wooden stool handy near my umbrella swift. It’s quite steady, and it means I don’t have to raise my arm high above the swift to turn it.
What a lovely episode Sarah. I loooove the mi I skeins idea. They are really sweet and your cardigan is beautiful also. I hope you have a lovely week. 💖🥰
Hello! You inspired me to get a notebook and document my knitting and crocheting. Thank you. And you could call the row marking as using tally marks ( IIII) to tally up how far you have gone or gotten done. That's what I call it anyway. Looking forward to your next upload.
Thank you for showing the steps you make in your knitting journal. I am trying to start one and have looked at the blank pages for a few weeks! I am working on a test knit and it is such a good heart jumping knit!
Thank you as always you are very inspiring with your projects❤ I am definitely going to make a heart jumping Corran vest😊
I love your vest and will be making one for myself soon. Right now I am working on the Cozy Comfort Blanket for my granddaughter. I’m just in need of simple, comfort knitting.
Love your Corran cardigan sarah thank you for showing it to us x
Hello from the Yukon, dear Sarah! It’s always fun to catch up with you. Thank you for another episode!
Hi Sarah...I love your new Corran cardigan and will keep it in mind for later. .I am just swatching for my first one, but battling with the gauge. Take care xxx
Thanks for sharing Sarah. I liked to see how carefully you blocked it.
I think you can also say tally your rows. Love the idea of a sleeves cardigan, it looks great on you.
I love your Corran vest! I’m tempted to do one also!😻
👍🏻❤😊
When you make a mark for rows, I call them tally marks.
❤
Hello from Canada! Just recently found your podcast and I have really enjoyed catching up on your earlier episodes! I was wondering if you sewed the blue linen dress you are wearing and if so, what pattern did you use?
We call it a hardware store.
Yay I'm first
