There's a lot to criticize about Japanese RPGs, but where else can you find this kind of thing?
Technically you're missing two scenes. Fat Chocobo, and the version of Odin where if the summon damage will kill the enemy, he does a different move....
Titan was my favorite. Not because I thought he was particularly cool or did a lot of damage, just thought the "anger of the land" text when summoning him was pretty badass and appropriate considering the story
I like Alexander for a similar reason. It's the only thing in the game that attacks with Holy damage, which is basically the power of the planet in FF7, and because it's a big mech with Holy, it feels like you're summoning a WEAPON to defeat the enemies of the planet.
I think the cutest summon is Choco/Mog. I like how the Chocobo picks up Mog with its beak after the attack before disappearing :) Thanks for the upllad.

Aerith was intended to be Sephiroth chief antagonist (fake last Cetra vs real last Cetra, wants to destroy the world vs wants to preserve the world, wants access to high black magick Meteor vs wants access to high white magick Holy etc), so Sephiroth wanted to kill her less because of her closeness to Cloud, amd more because of the danger she posed to his plans. There's, of course, an alternative - to let Sephiroth kill Cloud that time with Aerith becomjng the leader of the gang. But this is problematic since major plot points are revolved around Cloud being possessed by Sephiroth by the dubious virtue of being a Sephiroth "copy" (he's basically one of those creepy black cape guys, but with more personality).

After playing the game I learned that you can go into settings and modify the setting for the summons. I think you can speed them up or skip them. I had wish I had known that earlier.

Yeah I have the OST ripped from the CDs to my computer and I've played them directly to a sound system to speakers etc and it sounds just like that. As I stated this version in my video is the midi one from PC. Though I've never had a problem outside of the game matching the music quality I get in game.

Poor dinosaur just took 129,987 dmg from KotRT summon, forget about the rest. I can't remember if it registered over 9999 dmg and didn't show it even thou it did it or not. I believe it was software/hardware capped, but it's been sooo long.
The part of the music, which we first hear in this video at 0:55 to 1:10 is the music I grew up associating the summons in this game with - meaning if I was randomly thinking of a summon animation (which usually seemed to be Ramuh, even though I didn't favor him over the others) that is the music I would set it to, in my mind. I guess the reason is, when I first got all of the summons (via cheating, shame on me) I was excited to see them all in action, so probably used them in battle a lot, as well as the magic I also got by cheating.
I don’t understand why the difference of sound fx between this version amd the one from PS4 version! When you summon there’s a nice tune before invocating the entity before Cloud disappears. That tune doesn’t exist in the ps4 version. Can we fix in settings or something?
@JackXIII It's for the PC. The graphics were better, but the sound was MIDI and it sounded worse than the PSX. In the PC version One Winged Angel has no voices.
@Dingdongodingy The midi file format doesn't support voices-or you can't play what appears to be emulated voices- at the same time music is being played. I didn't really have a problem with the music in the game, just no voices in OWA was kind of disappointing.
This was recorded on an old ass PC using a Core Duo and nvidia7900. Def not top of the line. But I didn't use any shading. I've ran it on my other machine, looks the same. There's mods you can download to make it look better for sure.

You pretty much can't get KotRT until fighting end battle unfortunately. So essentially, although very powerful, useless.

Use it against sephiroth in his first form, he will be stronger in his second. That summon is double edged in that fight.
I want to see which of these summons will appear in the remake and how the big summons will fit inside Midgar and Shinra streets , hallways and rooms.

The part of the music, which we first hear in this video at 0:55 to 1:10 is the music I grew up associating the summons in this game with - meaning if I was randomly thinking of a summon animation (which usually seemed to be Ramuh, even though I didn't favor him over the others) that is the music I would set it to, in my mind.
I guess the reason is, when I first got all of the summons (via cheating, shame on me) I was excited to see them all in action, so probably used them in battle a lot, as well as the magic I also got by cheating.

"Kujata" actually? When I played it way back, that summon was named "Kjata". How odd..

Yeah, it was a typo on the original PlayStation version. There were actually quite a few.

I don’t understand why the difference of sound fx between this version amd the one from PS4 version! When you summon there’s a nice tune before invocating the entity before Cloud disappears. That tune doesn’t exist in the ps4 version. Can we fix in settings or something?

I remember spamming a lot of Bahamut Zero and Ultima a lot before I was able to get Knights of the Round and 4-Cut

@JackXIII It's for the PC. The graphics were better, but the sound was MIDI and it sounded worse than the PSX. In the PC version One Winged Angel has no voices.
@Dingdongodingy The midi file format doesn't support voices-or you can't play what appears to be emulated voices- at the same time music is being played. I didn't really have a problem with the music in the game, just no voices in OWA was kind of disappointing.

Didn't use a shader. It looked like this on PC.
I played it on my laptop. I put everything in the config to maximum but it got nothing on yours :(
This was recorded on an old ass PC using a Core Duo and nvidia7900. Def not top of the line. But I didn't use any shading. I've ran it on my other machine, looks the same. There's mods you can download to make it look better for sure.
Is this full screen mode or you only used 640x480 resolution?
